Hahaha, wow.

He’s a nutcase.

Ben Rodrigues 10-13-2023 07:00 PM

Just watched a video from Vince Russo on the matter. He makes some great points about Tony having made himself the face of AEW. As I said, he wants to be Dana White (the face of the UFC), but alas, he is not.

Mr. Nerfect 10-13-2023 08:27 PM

I don’t trust Vince Russo, but when he’s the sane one? Yikes.

Mr. Nerfect 10-13-2023 08:28 PM

I think this is the great unifier. Everyone from Bischoff to Russo to Cornette to Meltzer is probably like “shut the fuck up dude.”

Watch out, Tiny is throwing ratios around again!

It’s gone from being humorous to alarming pretty quickly. He is spiraling and getting crushed by NXT has broken him.

Agreed.

Mr. Nerfect 10-14-2023 07:41 AM

I spoke too soon about Dave Meltzer. He’s framing this as a perceived “declaration of war” inside WWE. I doubt they’re taking this any differently from your average person just marvelling.

Mr. Nerfect 10-14-2023 04:12 PM

It’s good to see more content creators speaking the obvious about AEW. It feels like a lot of them have previously been paid off, honestly.

Sepholio 10-14-2023 04:49 PM

Content creators lol. I think you mean WWE AVATAR BOTS!

Mr. Nerfect 10-14-2023 04:54 PM

Funny, that’s what I typed. I don’t know how anything else came out.

give him a break. He had to pay for Mistico and Turbo Floyd this week to stick it to Vince! Priorities man, sheesh.

Lol

Mr. Nerfect 10-15-2023 06:50 PM

Like, as minor and silly as this seems, it really shouldn’t happen.

That should be a sign that shit is thick: using "Vince Russo" and "great points" in the same sentence.

A bigger sign is that his biggest dick gargler in Meltzer is "critical".

I think the biggest dick dargler was BigCrippyZ, but I see your point. ;)

Even Meltzer has to distance himself occasionally now.

I love how they are trying to hype Mistico up as some revolutionary talent, like nobody remembers him botching in every single match as Sin Cara

Mr. Nerfect 10-16-2023 03:01 PM

Had an attitude problem as well. At least that will play well in AEW.

Mr. Nerfect 10-16-2023 03:03 PM

Whatever happened to last guy from Mexico they hyped as a revolutionary talent. Between all the “revolutionary talent” in Mexico and Japan, maybe ratings are just crashing because fans are being convinced they should be watching those promotions?

Being fair - I mean absolutely fair with minimal sarcasm - that's one of the *good* things about WWE's penchant for renaming folks. There legit may be a gap between people remembering that shit and knowing it is Mistico.

Whilst still being fair, a good bit of his bullshit failings may fall to that stupid "mood lighting" for all his matches.

One of the most "fedbad" things they do is rarely ever take blame for nonsensically bad ideas; be it death gimmicks, head scratching angles, or that ill conceived ACH shirt. Either the person goes along with it and eats shit, or they don't, which paints the person refusing as having "an attitude problem".

I don't know how much of his botching was due to having a full face-obscuring mask on top of darkening the arena for all of his matches of if he was just Eva Marie with a penis... but if anyone recalls, when they shifted to the new Sin Cara, that mood lighting shit eventually went away because it was prob'ly fucking with him, too.

Not saying he might not be as bad as some fans might remember, nor that he might have some sort of stick up his ass, but what I am saying is that there is a chance that that it wasn't exactly 100% on him to end up that way.

Which company?

Seriously. I ask because although AEW has been doing this lately with full force with any jackass in a lucha mask, WWE has been on this long-standing, off-and-on campaign to either anoint or create from whole cloth a "new" Rey Mysterio for decades and make some sort of financial push into South America with homegrown talent from beneath the equator.

Mr. Nerfect 10-18-2023 06:10 AM

You can throw a rock at any of them: El Vikingo, Rey Fenix, Pentagon, Rush, etc. I’m sure I’m missing some they bring in then stop using.

Mr. Nerfect 10-18-2023 06:12 AM

A story I hadn’t heard that is apparently out there is that Chavo and Epico Colon tried to help Mistico backstage but he was either a prick to them or just didn’t listen. The lighting didn’t help and was a poor aesthetic choice, but he apparently bit the hand of everyone who was positioned it help him in WWE.

xrodmuc316 10-18-2023 02:22 PM

Who was the tightrope walking guy, I forget which name he goes by.

Not trying to defend that ACH shirt, but the logo was approved by him, then he got upset they put it on a black shirt. Somebody in the t-shirt making department should have certainly nixed it on a black t-shirt, but ACH made it out like WWE just made the shirt and he never saw any aspect of it.

I completely forgot about him! That’s Komander, I think.
