la knight and ric flair ad

Emperor Smeat 04-09-2021 09:35 PM

Poor Cedric and Shelton.

First they get kicked out of the Hurt Business, then got manhandled by Lashey in back-to-back weeks, and now they were among the first three guys quickly eliminated from the Andre Battle Royal match.

Emperor Smeat 04-09-2021 09:39 PM

 at Ali eliminating the two big guys in Retribution.

That group is still among the biggest busts ever in WWE history.

Emperor Smeat 04-09-2021 09:50 PM

Andre Battle Royale was a fun match overall.

Jey Uso winning was a bit of a surprise even if he pretty much no sold the Kinshasa by Nakamura and the finish was anti-climatic.

Evil Vito 04-09-2021 09:53 PM

Good job giving Jey the win, he’s been one of the biggest success stories of the Thunderdome era. Especially in an era where WWE usually bench the other half of a tag team when one of them gets hurt.

Emperor Smeat 04-09-2021 10:02 PM

Reigns promo was okay but also went on too long.

This week's Mania go-home show was fine overall. It was a way better go-home show than the dump of a show RAW was earlier this week.

Still have no clue what a Nigerian Drum match is because WWE completely forgot to explain what it actually is these past couple weeks.

Volare 04-09-2021 10:44 PM

Carmella's glass toss was epic.

Emperor Smeat 04-10-2021 04:07 AM

Apparently it took until late into this week for WWE's Creative team to actually figure out what a Nigerian Drum Fight is supposed to be despite booking it beforehand for Mania according to the Observer.

Its just a regular No DQ style match but with a stronger emphasis towards striking and kicking so that the hits are loud and create a drum-like sound.

erickman 04-16-2021 07:59 PM

this better be better then raw this week

WWE has indicated that we will find out what’s next for WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns following his WrestleMania win over Daniel Bryan and WWE Hall of Famer Edge. As noted before, Reigns’ double pin may be addressed tonight by Adam Pearce and referee Charles Robinson.

WWE is also teasing that we will find out what’s next for new SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair following her WrestleMania 37 win over Sasha Banks. An appearance by new WWE Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews and his new muscle, Commander Azeez, is also likely.

He’ll be opposed by Atlas, who has a recent win over Nese to his credit.

Two weeks ago, Grey passed on the opportunity to end Mansoor’s undefeated streak via count-out when he broke the official’s cadence and was soon rolled up by his opponent.

Grey also scored a recent controversial win against Ariya Daivari, using the ropes for leverage, and he’ll now have to contend with The Persian Prince’s partner, Tony Nese.

Daivari interestingly raised Grey’s hand when Grey picked up a win over Adonis, perhaps admiring how The Life of the Party broke the rules against Daivari himself. What will happen when Grey collides with Nese?

McAfee already sounding way better as a color commentator than Graves was with Cole on the Blue Brand.

erickman 04-16-2021 08:22 PM

ray is such a good lawn dart for big men

Emperor Smeat 04-16-2021 08:22 PM

Otis is only 5'10'' tall?

I think I'm about the same height as him.

Guess that explains why Vince quickly lost interest in Heavy Machinery and Otis' solo push after a while.

Emperor Smeat 04-16-2021 08:27 PM

 at the ref botching the pinfall count to end the Otis vs. Mysterio match.

She counted to 3 despite having a clear view of one of Otis' shoulder not being on the mat.

Emperor Smeat 04-16-2021 08:35 PM

 at Heyman's swerve of Cesaro's request of him vs. Reigns into him vs. Jey Uso instead tonight.

Emperor Smeat 04-16-2021 08:52 PM

Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens was pretty good despite that lame countout finish.

Emperor Smeat 04-16-2021 08:54 PM

 WWE production crew forgot to mute the mics for Crews and you could hear the assistant do the countdown to come back from the Nigerian Drum Fight clip.

erickman 04-16-2021 09:00 PM

wrong time to use the term spring clean

Emperor Smeat 04-16-2021 09:04 PM

This cinematic-like highlight video for Bianca's title win was great. Made that moment feel even more special.

I give WWE a couple months at most before they find a way to screw up all of that good will and momentum her match with Sasha generated.

Emperor Smeat 04-16-2021 09:09 PM

Whoever created Bianca's pants sort of forgot to finish the fancy design.

Front half of her pants had a blue and white sparky lines design while the back was just like a pair of plain khakis.

Emperor Smeat 04-16-2021 09:23 PM

A little under 40 minutes left in tonight's show and no NXT call-ups nor surprise debuts have happened on SD.

WWE got really lazy with that for this year's After Mania shows.

Emperor Smeat 04-16-2021 09:28 PM

SD Tag title match was pretty good, especially the latter half.

Surprised Ziggy & Rood retained since it really felt WWE was going to do their usual random title change after a PPV routine. They did it earlier this week for NXT.

erickman 04-16-2021 09:35 PM

tamina nia beast feud ugg

Emperor Smeat 04-16-2021 09:36 PM

Natty vs. Shayna stunk.

Women's Tag division has been in a gutter ever since Sasha & Bayley dropped the belts.

Emperor Smeat 04-16-2021 09:39 PM

WWE is going to drive the coolness of Cesaro's UFO spot from Mania quickly into the ground since they've shown and mentioned it way too much on tonight's show.

20 minutes left and still no call-ups or surprise debuts yet. Going to be laughable if the only post-Mania surprises ended up being just a returning Ivar and Charlotte.

what happened to natty she used to be good, looks like nia stink got on her too.

xrodmuc316 04-16-2021 09:44 PM

Jay Uso has been awesome this past year. Jimmy better not come back as a babyface trying to talk sense to his brother.

Lock Jaw 04-16-2021 09:46 PM

Which Uso is married to Naomi

She's always been more of the average type in terms of skills. She just looked great back then because the majority of the women wrestlers in WWE were not good in the ring nor on the mic. Didn't help WWE barely cared about the division and mostly hired based on looks instead of skills.

Ever since NXT started to do a very good job developing women talent, Natty has felt a lot less special and average to below average in the ring.

Lock Jaw 04-16-2021 09:47 PM

Eating dinner an nothing better on, so turned on SD for the main event I guess....

Jimmy, the Uso that is still hurt I think.

Lock Jaw 04-16-2021 09:50 PM

That could def help him return as a face if Naomi gets "in the mix"....

Whoa.... they've really hooked me in with that ending though!!!!

Lock Jaw 04-16-2021 09:58 PM

Not

Emperor Smeat 04-16-2021 10:01 PM

Cesaro vs. Jey Uso was mostly very good despite the DQ finish.

5 matches on tonight's show and 3 of them involved something screwy happening for the finish.

This week's show was entertaining but felt way more like just a regular episode of SD than a special After Mania show. WWE dropped the ball big time with the post-Mania call-ups and surprise debuts this year.

Fignuts 04-16-2021 10:07 PM

No Becky, and no Io.

Why the fuck would you wait?

Saw the "right hand man" shirt and thought of Shisen's "The Uso on the left"" comment

SD back under 2 million (1.99), that has to be because of RAW. SD was usually 2 - 2.2 million range.
