I'm hoping Big Show defeats Randy Orton tonight.

Emperor Smeat 05-19-2013 05:45 PM

Assuming Ryback loses tonight, what's the next logical step for him?

He'd have lost every big ppv match since the Punk feud and if the dirtsheets are correct, his feud with Cena wasn't planned to go beyond a single ppv match.

A US/IC feud would make sense but neither belt has any real status or "prestige" to benfit Ryback unless they rebuilt it along with Ryback's star potential again.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 06:49 PM

They'll probably have Ryback wrestle John Cena at the next three PPVs.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 06:50 PM

It really wouldn't surprise me to see a draw in the title match and the Steel Cage Match close the show.

Ermaximus 05-19-2013 06:58 PM

I guess I will join you all this evening. Until the main event anyways.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:01 PM

I really don't care for Cena vs. Ryback. Since his heel turn, all Ryback has really done is kind of look at Cena. He hit him with a chair in the leg once, but it kind of feels like he should be far more vicious. I've actually got no clue where I would go with Ryback. Maybe he'll move onto a feud with Sheamus? Seeing those two men beat the crap out of each other would be...well, boring, but I'm sure others might enjoy it.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:06 PM

They could have Cena hurt Ryback to need to beat him. Give Ryback some time off and really work out where you want that character to go. He sort of feels like he's in a similar (if far higher profile) spot as Jack Swagger was last year.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:07 PM

Could see Ryback winning the title and becoming a Paul Heyman Guy also, to be honest. Actually got no clue where they are going with him.

mike adamle 05-19-2013 07:08 PM

Maybe they'll have Sin Cara interfere in the Last Man Standing match, attacking both men leading to a draw and setting up a triple threat match at the next PPV.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:10 PM

I could definitely see them having Mark Henry do that. He lays out Cena and Ryback after losing to Sheamus, because "That's what I do!" Cena vs. Ryback vs. Henry vs. Sheamus at Payback.

Corporate CockSnogger 05-19-2013 07:12 PM

I'm not really sure if I'm going to watch. I think I'm only really interested in seeing the two main events so dunno if its worth sitting through the rest for them.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:14 PM

I actually think a few characters currently featured on WWE TV could use a bit of a break. Just allow the guys to rest their bodies up and bring them back when needed. It's nothing to do with their performance and that sort of thing, but if it were a movie, I'd just feel it was time that they were "killed off." You have some acts that really have a lot of forward steam, but you have a few that are just hanging around because -- well, that's what they do.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:15 PM

I really want to see Chris Jericho vs. Fandango, Del Rio vs. Swagger, Dean Ambrose vs. Kingston and Hell No vs. The Shield.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:18 PM

I've got no clue what it is about Jericho vs. Fandango, but I really think they can tell a memorable story over the course of a few months. Jericho could realistically get a win back here and remind people that he is Chris fucking Jericho, but they should maybe do a "wheel spin" on the pre-show with Santino Marella and Mick Foley, which leads to some hardcore stipulation being named for Jericho vs. Fandango that bars disqualifications. Jericho gets Fandango in the Walls of Jericho but then Summer Rae attacks Jericho, breaking the hold and leaving Jericho open for Johnny Curtis to finish him off and get two straight PPV wins against Jericho.

Corporate CockSnogger 05-19-2013 07:20 PM

Are the crowd still going mental for Fandango or is that all over now? I'm retired to strictly PPV-only viewing of WWE now.

Wishbone 05-19-2013 07:29 PM

Just a quick question gents, but the PPV starts in 30 minutes correct?

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:29 PM

They're not mental for him. The WWE tried to bottle that lightning and as a result all that is left is something the WWE tells us is a trend. People still "Fandango" in the crowd, but it's usually the sort of people that would buy John Cena t-shirts.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:30 PM

Yes, Wishbone, good sir.

Wishbone 05-19-2013 07:31 PM

Not sure why but I'm actually pretty hyped for tonight.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:32 PM

I've been digging Fandango as a character this week, though. He's a smart heel, which I like. When this whole fad with him started, he should have just talked about how late everyone is to the party and he has been Fandangoing for however long he has been alive. Give him an "it's about time" attitude about it, like of course he was going to be a sensation.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:34 PM

It will be a good show, I think. As I said earlier, I think the booking will be wheel-spinning, for the most part, and I think that will leave the show in "well, that was good, but nothing really happened" territory. The most satisfying outcomes will probably take place in the Steel Cage Match (since Brock and Triple H will probably destroy each other) and in some of the mid-card title changes.

Nicky Fives 05-19-2013 07:35 PM

Pre-show pretty good so far, but shouldn't Titus O'Neil be looking forward to the Tag Title Match.....

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:36 PM

Kingston vs. Ambrose will hopefully show us just what those guys can do. Ambrose might actually be one of the more memorable US Champions in WWE history, given just how interesting The Shield are. That will only do wonders for him.

Ermaximus 05-19-2013 07:38 PM

Honestly, just have Lesnar beat HHH and then run out and destroy Cena and Ryback.

mike adamle 05-19-2013 07:38 PM

I'm gonna feel real bad for Kofi if he loses tonight though. He's not even a transitional world champion, he's a transitional United States champion, how sad.

XL 05-19-2013 07:39 PM

Somebody PM/rep me a stream when this kicks off. Please.

slik 05-19-2013 07:39 PM

Glad they kept a similar pre-show set-up from Mania.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:40 PM

Totally forgot that Kofi Kingston beat Sheamus to become US Champion.

That would make sense.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:42 PM

Wade Barrett is good.

Corporate CockSnogger 05-19-2013 07:43 PM

Unless Ambrose talks during that match, or Roman Reigns is present, I'll probably go for a shit during the US title match.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:44 PM

Big Hoss Daddy Dave.

Cool King 05-19-2013 07:44 PM

Has the stream stopped for anyone else?

It seems to have stopped for me on YouTube. All I'm getting is silence and an image of the Facebook poll question and it's options.

XL 05-19-2013 07:45 PM

Pre-show doesn't seem to be working for me

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:45 PM

Paul Heyman is such a good on-air character. The WWE should try to do everything they can to keep him involved in storylines.

Evil Vito 05-19-2013 07:45 PM

<font color=goldenrod>Yeah, I need a stream either via PM or rep. My usual go-to site appears to be down. :(</font>

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:45 PM

I really hope they do "Escape Only" rules for the Cage Match.

Mr. Nerfect 05-19-2013 07:46 PM

I'll also take a stream if anyone's got a good one.

slik 05-19-2013 07:46 PM

Yeah, the WWE Pre-Show quit working.

Ruh-Roh.
