This seems to be a trend. Someone goes through a certain amount of shit during their time in WWE but they stick in there and stay with the company, then finally they get given a fantastic push but right as it's picking up steam, they endanger it with drug use. I really don't want Swagger to become another Regal. |
I get the feeling Vince will be pissed at Swagger but I don't think it'll change WrestleMania. He'll still have the match, but I think if he was scheduled to win at WrestleMania, that could be off the cards now and he could lose and probably go back to jobbing and running around with men in eagle suits.

Holy toledo. This will be interesting to see develop going forward. I have a feeling somebody is going to challenge Swagger for his WrestleMania title shot on RAW. They still have 6 weeks until WrestleMania, so this won't be a complete disaster for WWE. I hope they just have Zeb recruit somebody else and switch the gimmick over to another person. Personally, I think there is a lot of money in turning Rey heel and hating illegal immigrants which leads to Rey Mysterio (w/ Zeb Colter) vs Sin Cara at WrestleMania.

This is the guy who -just- made national news for having a controversial character...and now he's arrested for a DUI and possession. This is exactly the kind of press WWE doesn't want. Swagger is done. And if he isn't done, he'll be around jobbing. How many Swagger signs with questionable content do you think WWE will be confiscating next monday? And from now on? How would the WWE look if they didn't fire him?
He's done. Or at least he'll be gone for awhile, like Daniel Bryan was. If by chance he actually stays around, he'll be buried like Regal was. |
