DDP's probably had that voice since he was like 10 though.

Xero 02-21-2013 06:39 PM

Gonna be honest, just seeing Hall talking like that makes me happy and hopeful. Probably the most lucid and sober he's been in years in public (and who knows, maybe in general).

I didn't know Hall had been to rehab 11 times. Hopefully this is what he needs, since the "traditional" methods obviously didn't help him at all.

Only 11? Seriously? I'm not even joking, I'm astounded that it hasn't reached 20.

Bad News Gertner 03-10-2013 10:37 AM

Wow $36,000 raised already. Scott Hall is my 2nd favourite wrestler of all time next to Bradshaw. Really hope he makes it.

This is legit, yoga really is good for the body both mentally and physically. It is something that is done at your own pace, very simple and can really be used to focus on what is really wrong with your body.

XL 03-10-2013 03:10 PM

Hard to believe that 3 pretty huge names in wrestling need to fundraise for whatever it they need for Hall. Hall alone should have money in the bank based on what was likely a huge contract with WCW. Guess a lot was wasted on drugs. And hookers, I bet hookers were involved somewhere.

Bad News Gertner 03-10-2013 03:17 PM

Can't pin this on Page at all. I'm sure it's not good business to give someone $80,000 to fix their body with Hall's track record.

Lock Jaw 03-10-2013 03:22 PM

With Jake, at least it was like "Yeah, he seems to be doing well and genuinely wants this".

Hall just got there and his commitment is still up in the air. Unsure investment.

mike adamle 03-10-2013 03:22 PM

So why hasn't Scott's best friend Big Sexy Kevin Nash paid the 80 grand? He's all about the money

mike adamle 03-10-2013 03:24 PM

I've got all the faith in the world for Jake to stay healthy, I just feel like as soon as Scott leaves DDP's he's gonna hit the bottle.

Plus if he does it once who knows how many others are going to come looking for rehab bills to get paid. If it works I could see WWE chipping in on others though.

Arrogance 03-10-2013 03:58 PM

As the wrestling world seems to hear nothing but bad news, it's hard not to get behind the guy. Hall obviously needs more than just a yoga routine to get healthy, and hip problems would make it even more difficult just to get through the routine. A lot of guys would just give up right there, but good to see DDP taking the next step and trying to get him the help he needs that DDP can't take care of himself.

XL 03-10-2013 04:14 PM

What is the mone for, btw?

Hip replacement surgery and the ensuing rehab. Same reason they did the fundraiser for Jake, he needed shoulder surgery and rehab.

I'd guess that Nash has pissed away a lot of money on Hall already.

Next Big Thing 03-10-2013 06:55 PM

Wow. They're over halfway there 3 days in. I really hope Hall doesn't fuck this up.

James Steele 03-10-2013 08:45 PM

DDP is in control of the account the money is going into, so I'm not too concerned. Apparently, Scott Hall has been with DDP and Jake for over a month. The fundraiser page says he is 40+ days sober.

I can only imagine the pop Scott Hall would get if he came out to do his Hall of Fame speech and he was stone cold sober and cleaned up. We'd get a proper Kliq reunion and pro wrestling would finally have a happy ending for one of these guys. Imagine the good that could come out of ESPN doing a follow-up E:60 piece on Scott Hall after all this if it works.

Next Big Thing 03-10-2013 08:47 PM

I'm talking about the opportunity in general. It would just be so tragic if he got the surgery, went through DDP's program and then relapsed a year later.

A sober Scott Hall being inducted into the Hall of Fame might go down as one of the greatest moments in wrestling history. I'm cheering for him.

It is inevitable they will relapse. Technically, one single drink is a relapse. The key is that they stop before they go back over the deep end. Hopefully, they both will have strong support systems in place and will have somebody to help them with a single phone call.

Shadrick 03-10-2013 09:09 PM

As one of the biggest Scott Hall fans, I've been hoping and wishing that he would get it all together. Honestly I never had the opportunity to meet Scott, but his candor when talking about the fan in the first video really made me feel for him even more. I'm going to donate, I hope everyone else is as well. I really want him to get better.

James Steele 03-10-2013 11:29 PM

Now at $45K. They could raise an easy $250,000 at this rate.

Skippord 03-10-2013 11:39 PM

would be a shocking twist if we found out DDP is a junkie tricking everyone into funding his drug habit

James Steele 03-29-2013 01:51 PM

What is up with Scott Hall and X-Pac though? Is 95% of their clothes nWo/DX shirts?

Next Big Thing 03-29-2013 03:59 PM

They're living the gimmick Steele. You of all people should appreciate that. I half expected Scott to spike the toothpick into the camera lens when he finished.

Good to hear him so coherent.

Theo Dious 03-29-2013 09:08 PM

Christ, he looks and sounds alive instead of a zombie.

drave 03-29-2013 09:13 PM

Here is a Veteran that completed DDP's program. Pretty damn inspirational.

Christ, how on Earth a man can look better post-surgery than he looked a few months ago is just insane. I can't imagine how much better he'd sound if he hadn't had a tube down his damn throat.

Shisen Kopf 04-24-2013 04:59 AM

Glad he's doing better. He was in my top 34 rasslers when I was a kid.

Seriously though. Been watching 1995/96 WWF ppvs lately with Razor Ramon in such tremendous shape. It's nuts that addiction changed him from that to what he is now. Really shows you the power of drug addiction :(
