I think we should trade a New England fan to a team that doesn't have a fan here, like Houston.

Triple A 09-10-2006 03:49 PM

OH MY FUCKING GOD I AM GONNA CRY RIGHT NOW.

16-0 JETS BUT NUGENT MISSED 2 CHIP SHOT FGS AND AN EXTRA POINT.

TITANS SCORE, AND 2 PT CONVERSION, 16-8

PENNINGTON FUMBLES, TEN RECOVERS AT THE 1, TD. AND THEY JUST GOT THE 2 PT CONVERSION AGAIN.

16-16

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW DIE

Gertner 09-10-2006 03:57 PM

Wow, my pats eeeeeeeeked out a victory.

Kris P Lettus 09-10-2006 04:07 PM

Saints won yet not getting into the endzone as much as they should have..

Packers are next..

WHO DAT??

Kris P Lettus 09-10-2006 04:08 PM

Oh yeah, and our RB's(my sig) had about 250 yard by themselves..

Who says our line is weak??

We have a defense now. Watch out. GREAT start to the season

Team Sheep 09-10-2006 05:15 PM

How were the Jets tonight Triple A? It wasn't on TV here, and we don't get the highlights until Friday. I followed the live scores on Sky Sports during the Falcons/Panthers game. Sounded good apart from the last quarter.

And yessssss we get the Pats @ Jets next week. :D

road doggy dogg 09-10-2006 05:49 PM

Even though we lost I was pretty happy with the game the Lions played. Like I mean Seattle was heavily favored, and they just won by the FG at the end. Shaun mofucking Rogers is a beast. As usual though the offense didn't help anyrthing. I kinda like Kitna though, like he played a solid game, consistent and didn't fuck up really.

road doggy dogg 09-10-2006 05:53 PM

God Woodson is so shit.

DrA 09-10-2006 06:51 PM

Just rushing? Or counting rushing, receiving, and returning?

Cuz, ya know, returning yards doesn't have anything to do with the line. Just saying. ;)

I'm serious, Dallas needs to get rid of this dick.

OssMan 09-10-2006 07:23 PM

lol at bledsoe, he throws a clear interception then it gets overturned somehow and he throws another one

DrA 09-10-2006 07:23 PM

I mean, I've had such a shitty year this year, with my only shread of optimism being that the Cowboys would actually, I don't know, NOT MISS SOME FIELD GOALS AND COMPLETE SOME PASSES at least in the first game of the year.

I swear, Bledsoe is worse than Jake Plummer and Colt McCoy combined.

DrA 09-10-2006 07:27 PM

Actually, Colt McCoy isn't that bad. He's just worse than Jake Plummer combined.

Gonzo 09-10-2006 07:31 PM

Colt McCoy is the perfect name for a Texas QB. How fucking ridiculous is that name? Sounds like it belongs in Friday Night Lights or something.

RoXer 09-10-2006 07:55 PM

A few years ago I said they should take a look at Andrew Walter, but I guess he isn't doing too well in Oakland or something so nevermind.

But yeah, they need to draft a QB this year.

DrA 09-10-2006 08:01 PM

The sad thing is everyone would get upset at TO if he ever called Bledsoe a fag.

DrA 09-10-2006 08:10 PM

Speaking of fags, I guess this is the Manning vs. Manning game.

I'm back from the Pats game and they won! It was only by a safety though and Brady looked like shit. The defense played good which is why we won.
Anyway, Skippord it's not gonna be too long before Cutler becomes the starter for the Broncos, I guarantee you.

Boondock Saint 09-10-2006 09:34 PM

Pats played rather craptasticly today.

Crippla 09-10-2006 09:39 PM

Yeah, it also sucks I didn't get to see Bruschi play at my first ever PAts game but D didn't look too bad in the 2nd half. Brady just looked like shit though. I threw a hissy fit in my seat when he threw that interception.

OssMan 09-10-2006 09:40 PM

Gonzo 09-10-2006 11:21 PM

I don't even know what happened with that 10 second run off penalty, I didn't catch what they were saying but that was fucking killer.

That was a tight game, would have been nice to win but to play the Colts that tight is good. I think that PI call on Tim Carter was pretty fucking bogus, but you can't say either way what would have happened. Seems that we didn't really attempt to blitz or pressure Peyton that much, pretty much ate us up too.

Well played. :y:

It ended up being a pretty good game, save for that PI call. Who knows what would have happened had they not called that bullshit? Both teams were moving the ball easily so it could have turned out very different.

Yeah that Carter play was horseshit.

I never heard of that 10 second rule either. As soon as I heard it I literally was like :|

We would have won had Butler and Webster came away with those INTs :(

The worst part is that there is no shame whatsoever in losing to the Colts, most people favored them, and it's only one week. Plus they played well and everything. Yet despite this, every Giants loss leaves me in a bitter/sad mood the next day :(

As it does me. Regardless of all the other intangibles that can be brought up we didn't really capitalize when we should have. We had 3 dropped INT's, and a number of penalties on the offensive side of the ball, from the false starts, to the delay of game or two, to Plaxico's few blocking penalties. All that kind of shit has to be gone if we're going anywhere this season.

Who knows what could have happened if the Giants had decent pass coverage or didn't jump offsides twenty times?

Although the Colts won, they didn't look impressive at all to me. That aggressiveness that they had last year is completely gone, and I think that this is going to show itself moreso in the oncoming weeks.

darkpower 09-11-2006 03:39 AM

Some thoughts about this week:
 • Trip, the KC/Bengals game was in HD. Looked damn good, too. CBS did that right, at least.
 • Speaking of CBS, the hell was with its sleek graphics package? It was like, yesterday it was lame and boring, and then today they have things flashing everywhere and flying every which way. It was looking nice and everything (and I do like that the new look, albiet they need to start using the complete line type scoreboard that FOX, NBC, and ABC use now), and they finally emphesize that a touchdown was actually SCORED), but are we going to be getting headaches from how flashy their new package is? And when the hell did CBS suddenly discover the type of graphics technology that FOX has used all these years? They seemed to have some problems with it, though. Some technical glitches, but nothing major. And when did James Brown move to CBS? He seemed somewhat out of place with those other guys.
 • That hit that Trent Green took that made him get that concussion was nasty, and while I too don't think it was a dirty hit, it's not a hit you want to take, and I do hope he doesn't have anything serious going on. On the worst side, if he's out for the season, then unless whoever the hell his name was actually brings it to another level, the Chief's season is done.
 • The Steelers look great again, regardless of who their QB is. Big Ben should be back to play in the next game, but Batch did fine. They should be favorites to go to the playoffs this year, too.
 • NFL rules don't allow networks to stay with a switched-to game past 4:15PM if it goes that far? What in the FUCK? Stay with the game until the end, regardless of when you switched over to the other game (for those like me who are too poor or too cheap to get any of those NFL cable packages). Didn't the NFL learn its lesson from the "Heidi" fiasco? Who comes up with these rules? Must be the same people who came up with the touchdown celebrations rule? Let the players PLAY and have FUN doing it.

Actually, looking at the replay, the CBS guy was right. Green's concussion came from hitting the ground the way he did. The Bengals' defender couldn't stop once Green went down (in other words, it was incidental).

I don't think the Bengals had to do such a thing anyway. The Chiefs weren't playing that great even with Green there.

Patriots didn't look that good today so I don't know but I'm still going with them.

RP 09-11-2006 12:27 PM

My first impression of my Colts.

1) We have no running game. I dont know if eventually they will get better, Addai looked great occasionally. He caught some passes and seemed to fit alot better then Rhodes did. If we cant run the ball and Manning still manages to put up huge numbers and put us in a number 1 or 2 seed, he's MVP hands down.

2) We cant stop the run. We got blown off the line all night. Barber gashed us. Jacobs ran us over. It was really pathetic. BAD BOB SANDERS! BADDD. If we dont learn to stop the run and we get run over like that week in and week out, we'll be lucky to make a wildcard.

3) Adam Vinateiri is sick. Bad foot and he's still kicking feild goals from 45 yards like its nothing. If that was Vandejackass, we would have lost that game.

4) Special teams was outstanding.

5) Peyton threw some questionable balls that should have been picked, but given his track record, i'll go ahead and say that was rust. He'll get alot sharper against the Houston Pushovers next week.

6) Marvin Harrison quietly couldnt be covered by anyone on the Giants and probably will have a huge season this year with a shakey running game.

First of all. Shame on NBC for only having one camera angle for the PI play. It was obvious to me that the recievers arm and shoulder came up and made contact. Did it make enough contact to bother Nick Harper? Nope. Harper lost his balance plain and simple. But if you're a field judge watching that play and you see the guys elbow and shoulder come up and make contact, you're throwing that flag every single time. Doesnt matter how much contact there was. It's a split second decision.

I'm pretty sure that one play didnt cost the Giants the game. Giants had tons of problems.

Brandon Jacobs is a monster. My god.

He wasnt pushed at all. What play were you watching? But it also wasnt a dirty play. He hit him with the shoulder and Green didnt slide early enough.

RP 09-11-2006 01:06 PM

Seattle just gave a 1st rounder for Deion Branch. I would love to here what Miz says about this. I think this may be the biggest steal ever. I cant believe anyone would give a first round pick for Deion Branch. I also cant believe how overrated Deion Branch all of a sudden has become.

RP 09-11-2006 01:08 PM

Not to mention New England has no recievers that are worth anything and it showed against Buffalo.

His foot touched his back. His hand isnt actually touching him there. I just watched it from 3 different angles on NFL Live. There was no push.

RP 09-11-2006 01:56 PM

Unless i just couldnt see it, but i saw alot of space between the reciever and the guy that made the hit.

Triple A 09-11-2006 02:04 PM

Yeah pretty sure he was intentionally trying to hit him. Pretty standard regardless.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 09-11-2006 02:30 PM

Kinda suprised the Patriots actaully went threw with it and traded Branch, they have no type of recievers at all right now. They should just line up Ben Watson on the outside, he will beast niggas all day long.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 09-11-2006 02:31 PM

I really don't see how Branch isn't worth a 1st round pick though, the dude is a proven reciever in the NFL. I'd rather have Branch than Carlos Rogers or Brylan Edwards.

RP 09-11-2006 02:41 PM

Be cause superstar players have been traded for alot less. It was a sucker trade. He's not worth Reggie Wayne money either. And ofcourse thats what Seattle will be paying him. Which is hilarious.

Joey Slugs 09-11-2006 03:36 PM

BTW: The Bears handed Favre the first shutout of his life.

Yeah, I noticed when they flashed the stats in the 4th Q. He had like 9 receptions for 113 yds at the time. I kinda of was like when did he catch 9 balls? Didn't notice how well he played with the flow of the game.

Another thing I did realize: The Giants were playing some pretty vanilla zone coverages against Peyton. That is a bad idea, the dude is a Hall of Fame QB and is going to tear up a zone defense 99% of the time, especially with the weapons he had. We never had enough pressure, never got there when we brought it and I think that is a testament that the Indy OLine is pretty good.

That performance was pretty ill, but I kind of want to see how they do against a better team. No offense but the Browns aren't a playoff caliber team.

Triple A 09-11-2006 07:44 PM

I seriously feel like the Jets will beat the Pats this week. They always play well at home no matter what. They were like 7-1 in 2004 and last year they were 4-4 despite how horrible they were. They will win this game!!!!!!

Crippla 09-11-2006 07:46 PM

They haven't beat the Pats in 3-4 years not that thats relevant but I still don't think they'll beat them.

Deion Branch IS worth a first rounder because he would be a first rounder. I mean you don't wanna go by what he was like back when he was drafted. He is a number 1 receiver and is worth it. I mean look at Tom Brady, he was a sixth round draft pick FFS.

Crippla 09-11-2006 08:39 PM

Also, please don't vote me off TPWW.

DrA 09-11-2006 08:52 PM

That Deion Branch tells me that Seattle is not secure about their receiver position this year. Just from reading the "context clues", I am assuming that Darrell Jackson is not in very good shape right now.

Also, apparently Drew Bledsoe injured his back somewhere in that Jacksonville game, which explains his shit play somewhat. I take back 45% of the things I said about him.

Crippla 09-11-2006 08:55 PM

What team was Drew Bledsoe drafted by, DrA do you know that one?
