If this were AEW: This is going to be used to build up a Dominick/Rey program. Roman is being set up to drop the title to the next star down the line. They’re getting him being dominant over. What is he supposed to do? Lose all the time? Long-term storytelling guys. This isn’t shitty WWE where things just happen for no reason. And it’s totally smart to do a Hell in a Cell match on TV since they get all their revenue from TV.

No, it is stupid. It was hot-shotting. They clearly want Roman to be a star, but the heel turn did that enough. Him smashing everyone is just going to create a different version of the same problem. I have no interest in a Rey vs. Dominik feud.

Rey losing is fine. It should have been to the established Guillotine Choke. But a Rey win would have been fine too. Roman could also get the belt back. But if you want to go with Roman, you could have had the choke finish it and tell the same story if Rey feeling like he has “failed” his son.

The story of "failing" his son would have been better told with a spear finish. With this it was worse than failing. He gave up.

Conversely, this is one of those special occasions where you could have gone with a pass out finish. Rey refusing to tap out would make sense given his motivations. He wouldn't look like such a bitch, but you could still logically move forward with whatever they have planned for rey/dominik.

HIAC hasn't had any value since they made it an annual show. It's now there to sell play sets in the toy aisle.

Cesaro catched Rollins in a back body drop position off the ropes and then turns it into a back breaker along his knee. The way they did this is super safe and also did not break the flow of the sequence of the move itself. Really great stuff here.

Tv shows end with cliff hangers every week. Do you need to be baby spooned every piece of info right away? We complain about not having long term storyline. Then we bash WWE for doing a long term storyline. Its okay if we don't know exactly what is going on. That is part of the fun.

Corbin would be fine as a lackey heel. Put him with Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns or even Bray Wyatt and it would be fine. He’s not a thing on his own. His best presentation was when he would talk shit about indy guys coming up and how he comes from better ground because he was a premier athlete in college. But that worked in NXT. On Raw and SmackDown it would only work, maybe, in The Hurt Business.

There’s a place for Corbin. He’s not awful in the sense he does everything he sets out to do correctly. He’s just not dynamic on his own.
