Hasney - Been seeing him online a lot more lately which is betteer than nothing. He says he'll have the game by the time it starts so I remain hopeful.

Ant - A fucking ghost. With the release of Monkey Island 2 coming up, he should be online more. Hopefully, he hasn't forgotten about this.

thecc - Comes and goes. Dunno how often he plays this. Maybe he'll give an update.

G - 100% postitive he will be ready for the tounament. He would never let me down.

The matches don't play out at the same time like HDR, which isn't bad but you gotta imagine some dick who's last on a card of 4 matches might just leave out of boredom or after getting discouraged after seeing a strong player. You might remedy this by merely having 4plyr tournies but what's the point? Might as well have Endless Battles (SSF3's go-2 mode, imo).

Had some offline sessions with Khuntry today (I'm in Miami, YAY!) and I must say; you guys have no idea the type of bitch Cammy could be sans inherent lag. In fact, my Sakura and Ken seemed to execute with much more efficiency. Khuntry offline is a beast of course. Really miss having a local scene.

Tried some TvC as well. It's appeal to casuals and 'cores was an interesting study. I saw a guy who sucked dick at SSF4 try TvC for the first time and learn quick enough to get the pace. This would not happen with MvC2 and I expect MvC3 to widen the comp pool similarly.

When I head to Supercon tomorrow I'll check out their game room and try to land some matches. If there's anything of a scene (at least at that university) I'll try 'em out first hand.

RULES:

- Higher seed fights on the RIGHT side of the screen. It gives those who aren't so great a bit of a comfort zone when fighting. Example: #16 is on the left, #1 is on the right. I know the lobby system makes it so the winner of the previous match is on the left by default, so if the lower seed presses "ready" and the higher seed doesn't, the lobby should rearrange you.

If this doesn't work, than it isn't a big deal. We'll use this round to test it out.

- Time Limit: 99, Rounds: 5

- Best of 9 (Nine)

- You can only pick the same character twice.

TIPS:

- Clean up your connection. Do what you can, at least. Stop downloading porn/movies/whatever. Tell your MOM to get off the computer, you're playing in a fighting video game tournament for an internet wrestling message board. As long as Hasney isn't using his tethered iphone for a connection, we should be okay,

- Save replays. Please. After the entire round, obv. Don't play a match and go save and play a match and go save. That's dumb. And label them properly.

- Take a breather between matches. It helps.

I like to think we could set out as a group and represent in another tourny. A tourny amongst ourselves is redundant. Might as well have Endless Battles. It's done a good job thus far revealing our skill levels. An in-house tourny would make playing the game into something we don't need it to be.

Sometime in the future yeah. I rarely play it alone tho, so I'd have to sit down and learn the new mechanics well before I took it online.

Sounds like a plan. This tourny could be to decide the leader. :)
