SAW THE REUNION WITH JOHN CENA IT WAS GOOD 8/10. NETFLIX IS BIBLICAL

Raven Reaper 01-22-2015 08:32 PM

Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death. More of the same but still, it increased my phobia of going upstairs and hearing loud bumps at night.

8/10.

wwe2222 01-23-2015 10:05 PM

Selma 7/10. Good movie but I could see why the actor wasn't nominated.

El Vaquero de Infierno 01-24-2015 10:55 AM

Ex Machina 8/10

Alicia Vikander is quickly becoming a favourite of mine, and not just because she is ridiculously cute.

The Condor 01-25-2015 01:43 AM

Memoirs of a Geisha: 6.79/10

I didn't like it, but I was into it the whole time.

Triple A 01-25-2015 09:40 AM

Whiplash (2014) - 8/10

Was good but I guess I was expecting it to be "effing amazing." Seemed like a kinda basic storyline... but was good though. Love J.K. Simmons, pretty much "made the movie"

Fignuts 01-31-2015 04:48 PM

The Taking of Deborah Logan 6/10

Was alright I guess. As far as the whole "found footage" horror movies go, it's better than most. One really creepy part at the end.

Tazz Dan 02-01-2015 07:57 AM

Two Night Stand - 7.5/10

Tazz Dan 02-01-2015 08:01 AM

Foxcatcher - 7/10. Pretty intense movie, but it's been promoted more than any other movie here right now, it it just didn't quite live up to the hype for me.

The Grand Budapest Hotel - 8/10. I found this quite humerous.

Fignuts 02-01-2015 05:56 PM

You're Next- 7/10

Dunno, feel like I might rate it a point or two higher if I watch it again knowing what to expect. I was really in the mood for a horror movie when it started, and it starts out that way, but half way through it urns more into an action thriller/revenge movie.

Like, it's not scary at all at that point because the protagonist is this badass, and the villains are grossly incompetent in comparison.

Also, and this is just me, but in these types of movies, the attackers are much less scary when they have a motive. Like it's lot scarier to me when they seemingly are doing it just because they want to. Like in Strangers. "Because you were home."

Anyway, it was still really good, and if I wasn't in the mood specifically for straight horror, I might have enjoyed it even more.

It's on Netflix. Watch it.

Tazz Dan 02-01-2015 07:16 PM

You're Next is probably one of the shittest movies I watched in 2014.

Damian Rey 02-03-2015 01:18 PM

Get the Gringo-7/10
Pretty solid Mel Gibson flick. Had a gritty feel to it. Was funny.

The Machine-8/10
Arrow's Caity Lotz is in this. Makes a pretty sexy machine. The idea behind it all was pretty good. Well done sci-fi action thriller.

The Conspiracy-8/10
Pretty good mocunentary type thriller that wraps up its ending perfectly in line with its title.

The Imitation Game - 3.5/5

Not the best of the Best Picture nominees. Not really Benny's best, either. But a good story nonetheless.

alvarado52 02-04-2015 01:12 AM

Frank - 8/10. Very entertaining movie, especially if you like off-beat comedy and music. (its on Netflix)

road doggy dogg 02-04-2015 08:10 AM

The Wedding Ringer - 7/10

Good for what it was. I enjoy Kevin Hart more than most people on the internet, it seems.

Shisen Kopf 02-04-2015 08:55 AM

American Sniper - I give that movie a USA #1 rating. 10/10

Nicky Fives 02-04-2015 12:06 PM

The Imitation Game - 10/10 - absolutely loved it
The Wedding Ringer - 8/10 - above average comedy
X-Men - 5/10 - I could see the appeal back in the day, but watching it now seemed outdated.... kind of like the original Mission Impossible

Raven Reaper 02-06-2015 11:54 AM

John Carter + Star Wars + Fifth Element or any Babylon 5-ish episodes = This movie. Space porn opera at its finest.

9/10.

road doggy dogg 02-06-2015 12:02 PM

Mila Kunis + anything really is like sex on film

road doggy dogg 02-06-2015 12:02 PM

The Theory of Everything - 7/10.... Wasn't anything special.... dude did a great job at "acting" I guess, so it gets an extra point....

whiteyford 02-09-2015 01:53 PM

Big Hero 6 - 8/10

Everyone says this about biopics. Unlike all those other films where there's no acting.

I thought it was quite mediocre at the time, but you have to appreciate that it was a Marvel film that wasn't absolutely shit, and so it was very special.

Yeah.... I think maybe because you kind of "know" what/how they are supposed to "act" because you know the "real" person and then if they emulate that close enough you appreciate it "more"......

Where if it is an actor just playing an original character, you have no "reference" to go "oh yeah, they are really just like that guy"

The Dictator - 4 out of 5.

Joe: 9/10

Cage should have won an oscar. Awesome work.

The Condor 02-15-2015 01:48 PM

Leaving Las Vegas: 7.1/10

Not nearly as good as people led me to believe.

The Condor 02-15-2015 01:49 PM

Punch Drunk Love: 6.64/10

Most of that score is for Phillip Seymour Hoffman's few minutes of screen time. Last half hour is what the entire movie should have been.

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-16-2015 06:47 AM

I Know That Voice 8/10

Good documentary made by Bender from Futurama about voice actors.
