I generally kind of hate the Punisher character, but I admit that I really loved how they handled him in the Netflix show and season 1 of his show. I never actually watched season 2.

Yeah man, he fucking brought that role to life. He did very, VERY well and I don't feel like there's been a more accurate on-screen depiction of The Punisher.


Wonder why DC never went with the super villain "The Pun" to join the likes of "condiment man" and the ilk.

Marvel producer Victoria Alonso, who infamously asked "why are they called X-Men when they have so many women," is out of the company. She's still attached to some upcoming projects like The Marvels but it's a spot of optimistic news.

The two strongest IPs Marvel has is Spider-Man and the X-Men. Spider-Man is obviously controlled by Sony. Disney spent 71.3 billion to aquire the X-Men. Anyone who who suggest rebranding their strongest controlled IP should not be making any decisions especially given Disneys sizable financial woes.


More shakeups to come for Marvel and Lucasfilm though. With a bit a of luck people who like the source material will be hired. That would be a boon.

I dunno. X-People could go over like gang busters with those progressive types.

If nothing else, it's funny when they reference it for a bit of meta-humor. Deadpool's speech to his team in his second movie also brings it up. There are always people who aren't going to "get it" so you might as well have fun with it, I suppose. Of course, they could've avoided the whole "problem" by just going with "The Mutants" from the get-go.

Conflating a passing reference or joke with a legitimate desire to rebrand is as outlandish as claiming having men in the title is an point of criticism to begin with
