It could just be a thing of Kamala gravitating more towards Carol a la Kate Bishop to Clint Barton. Remember, Kamala is a super geek. Like, ridiculously super geek. It's not outside the realm of possibility for her to be a fan especially considering we don't know what those five years were like or what Carol's post-Endgame career entailed and how far apart this story is from all of that. Carol could have been shoved into the limelight to fill the Black Widow gap and if that's the case, I'm hoping that and how Carol handles that is something that gets explored in her second movie. I'm getting ahead of myself, though. Let's just see how this plays out.

Kamala fucking ruled in Ultimate Alliance 3 but I kind of had to push her to the side once Reed became a playable character. There's just no way she'd rock a sweet beard like his.

The biggest bullshit thing for me is that they pushed back The Marvels. :(

slik 07-23-2022 11:15 PM

starting to get a little burnt out on the mcu but I'm sure I'll still see a number of these

slik 07-23-2022 11:15 PM

(I type that as I haven't seen Thor or most of the Disney + shows...)

Destor 07-23-2022 11:16 PM

We're getting into D list so its pretty understandable. X-Men will hopefully breathe some life into it

Lock Jaw 07-24-2022 01:37 AM

I was one of the only ones who liked The Eternals... disappointed at no sequel in sight... want the continuation of that story....

Was not expecting it to get a sequel by any means, but I would have liked it to....

I'm looking at that line-up to see where they could possibly fit in. Maybe in The Marvels, the Fantastic Four, and the Kang Dynasty but that's a stretch.

I don't think I could ever get burnt out on this franchise. It's like I'm a kid again. I'm thankful this stuff is happening now instead of when I actually was a kid because there's no chance in hell my parents would be taking me to see any of it.

I was hoping to see something that tied this phase together as it feels very disconnected/disjointed so glad to see it’s leading to something. Those open spots in Phase 6 also interesting. I’m interested in a lot of the stuff on the slate.

Don’t watch Thor if you’re hoping for it to boost your interest.

Wasn't there supposed to be an Armor Wars series with Rhodes?

Oh, they start filming in October. I hope this finally brings Titanium Man into the fold.

Fignuts 07-25-2022 09:21 AM

Concerned about Fantastic Four and potentially X-men not showing up until phase 6. Feels like they might be introducing too much in one phase.

Destor 07-25-2022 02:18 PM

Logically Kang is going to open the door for these additions

XL 07-25-2022 02:36 PM

Crazy that there’s two Avengers movies within 6 months of each other.

Lock Jaw 07-25-2022 03:22 PM

Seems like they are committed to that format now of no "small" or self contained Avengers movie like Age of Ultron..... just want to make another Infinity War/Endgame

XL 07-25-2022 03:46 PM

Yeah I get that but 2 in 6 months are very close together.

Destor 07-25-2022 04:32 PM

If its a cliff hanger i get it

Fignuts 07-28-2022 08:51 PM

Gaimen and Buckingham finally finishing theirSilver Age arc on Miracleman, with the first issue coming in october.

It's being published by marvel. Makes me kind of worried about it, given how overly PC and "woke" they've been.

Destor 07-28-2022 08:56 PM

Is this allen moore miracle man?

Fignuts 07-28-2022 09:28 PM

Yeah. Gaimen took over after issue 16, and then the whole thing ended on a big cliffhanger in issue 24 and was never finished.

Destor 07-28-2022 09:43 PM

Allan Moore isnt a writer you simply follow and the current marvel writing staff...well there's a reason manga sales in the US blow them out of the water. Demon slayer is moving 25 million units while comics as a whole are moving 15 mil. Its pretty telling.

Fignuts 07-28-2022 10:48 PM

Neil Gaimen isn't just any writer though. He did a very good job taking over the book. Some people even enjoy his issues a bit more. Moore was really laying the prose on thick in those books.

Destor 07-28-2022 11:01 PM

He was still adapting to the medium and developing his style. Which says something because Marvelman/Miracleman is still better than a lot of stuff coming out today. I'll have to check out the final product once they have them released as a set.

Fignuts 07-28-2022 11:10 PM

Oh most definitely. Moore's run on miracle man changed the industry. Just saying, if theres anyone who's on the same level it's Gaimen.

Fignuts 07-28-2022 11:12 PM

Fuck, I just read they're also planning on bringing Miracleman into the mainline marvel universe.

That could be really bad. Cause if he's going to be a part of the pg-13 universe, will they really give Gaimen the freedom to continue the book with the same tone and content it had before?

Fignuts 07-28-2022 11:14 PM

Also seems super redundant and unnecessary. They already have the sentry who has the same powers and even almost the same backstory.

Destor 07-28-2022 11:20 PM

Yeeaaahhhhh most of mores works is best left in its own corner...but maybe it can work?

Fignuts 09-12-2022 08:22 AM

Very disappointed that Paul Rudd introduced a clip of Quantumania for the audience, and it wasn't just a clip from Mac and Me.

drave 09-12-2022 08:55 AM

Shit dude, no one else I know knows the movie Mac and Me - wtf.

Outstanding.

McLegend 09-12-2022 09:05 AM

It’s a Paul Rudd gimmick when he would go on Conan.

He would always play the same clip from that movie instead of whatever movie he was promoting at the time.

my son went nuts. he's been seeking out and has all but 2 "Deadpool x Old Man Logan" comics.

He's a deadpool collector.

Destor 09-28-2022 08:50 AM

Im sure the film will be fun but i was really looking forward to moving on to a new iteration of wolverine

drave 09-28-2022 09:00 AM

Have you read any interactions with Deadpool and Logan???

This will be a rom-com.

drave 09-28-2022 09:00 AM

Bros, but with Deadpool and Logan. Guess who's the top?

Destor 09-28-2022 09:27 AM

Deadpool/Wolverine and Deadpool/Spider-Man are great pairings. Still im wanting to move past Hugh Jackman and into the MCU version of the X-Men that we're hopefully moving towards.

Obviously Deadpool is not currently in the mainline universe but that will likely be changing in this film so its all well and good long term im just very ready to move forward with the X-Men IP.

Its a slight shame that Jackman is returning post Logan. It was a great send off for his version.

drave 09-28-2022 09:38 AM

but the movie will take place pre-Logan maaaaaaaaaaan. "Time" in the MCU is a joke anyway.
