The gameplay looks a tad more open ended than GG. I'm no expert, but Khuntry is a whore for the GG series (and a fierce player). He's jizzing pants as well. So many fighting games, baby. |
2009, year of the fighter. Fuck a zodiac.

BlazBlue is gonna be sweet. |
Guilty Gear can only be described as a high resolution hyper kinetic acid trip featuring characters from a teenage psycho's wildest dreams doing battle to a rock concert playing off screen.
|
I bought Guilty Gear x 2 version reload 2 load version x tenth reload 2.
I was not impressed. |

Roxer, what is your opinion on the King of Fighters series? |
Can't say

KoF11 is good fun. It was unfortunate that I got the two year old game a few weeks before SF4.
|
Street Fighter has classic characters, but SNK is really much more of a driving force in terms of innovating gameplay mechanics. So many diverse character types.
My advice? Pick up KoF 02/03, KoF 98, KoF 00/01 and KoFX1 for PS2, as they are all pretty cheap and really fucking awesome. Or if you wanna play it on the PC get Neo Rage. |

Hand drawn fighters are so sexy.

I've really improved my Zangief. Finally able to pull off all his moves with ease. Back as a kid, I couldn't do anything with him except the spinning clothesline.
I still can't work Rufus or El Fuerte for the life of me. I can pull of moves with them but, in matches, I'm useless with them. I have a quick favour to ask you guys. Does anyone know where I can find an image of the symbols on Dans back/chest? Not an image of Dan with the symbols. Just the symbols. My costume is done. I have the suit (dyed and altered), the tshirt, the gloves and some sandles because I need footwear. If I can add the symbols as a finishing touch, it would be great. The party is tonight so if anyone can help me out before it's too late, I'd owe you one. Obviously, I've looked and found nothing. I was going to print them onto transfer paper I have lying around and iron it on the suit. |
Can't find a clean version.
|
A clean version of the symbols? It's not a big thing. I have a pink suit, a tshirt and everything else. If people know Dan, they just need a guy with a ponytail in a pink karate gi. If someone doesn't know Dan, symbols wont make a difference. It's just a little detail I wanted to finish with.
Thanks for helping out anyway. If anyone does find them, though, let me know. Btw, Kalyx, I think we need to face each other again. I reckon I can do a decent match now and not hop all over the place. |
I can hop on tonight maybe. I've been off Street Fighter for a few days, getting in some exhibition only today (and being a tad rusty at that). This wouldn't be a problem if not for the fact that I haven't been working out scenarios in my head the entire time I wasn't playing. So a session with you should whip me back into shape.
|
Well, I have that party tonight so I wont be online so you can always work off any rust you have tonight and I can have a match over the weekend.
|
Having a Terminator SCC marathon right now. Weekend seems likely.
|
k lets play
|
Just picked this up. I am terrible.
|
Update: I am still terrible. I've unlocked all of the characters except Gouken and Seth so far. I haven't much time to play this due to this being my last full-time semester in college so it'll probably take me awhile to pick some of the finer points up.
I've done the best so far with Sagat, but that's really no accomplishment given his obvious strengths. I think I have great potential with Crimson Viper. However, I'm absolute ass with an character that has mostly charge based special moves. I can get the moves off but it isn't fluid. And I can never land any of the Super/Ultra moves either. |
Charge characters have better normals than everyone else. Put them to good use.
|
Quote:
Yeah, when I use Honda, Vega, and Blanka, I mostly use special moves as fake outs, and rely mostly on normals. Works pretty good. |

Just a little bit of awesome for you KoF fans. :y: |
You guys can thank RoXy for pumping up my Vega. He'll be deliciously laying waste to fools now that he's battle tested.

Good news if you still have the joystick ordered.
Capcom: More MadCatz Street Fighter 4 controllers by April by Xav de Matos { 14 hours ago } Good news for fighting game aficionados out of Capcom and MadCatz HQ today. A new shipment of the specialty controllers and arcade sticks for (and that should have come bundled with) Street Fighter IV will be available soon. Darin from the Capcom Unity Blog sends word that MadCatz will have a few units of the popular -- but somewhat problematic -- controllers by the end of this month and the end of April. While the number of units isn't being thrown around, Capcom says there should be enough stock to take care of most, if not all, existing orders. As for the ability to one day walk into a store and freely purchase a unit off the shelf ... let's not talk crazy, folks. |
