Dez Bryant had to lay down $50,000 at a resteraunt for payback from not carrying Roy Williams' pads.

I'll find the link when I get home.

$20 says the Jaguars start Edwards at Buffalo next week.

Hanso Amore 09-29-2010 06:22 PM

I hope so. Watching him get sacked over and over will bring me great.

OssMan 09-29-2010 06:47 PM

Holy shit it will bring you great what

I really don't care that much but damn

IC Champion 09-29-2010 06:57 PM

No way Trent Edwards starts unless David Garard dies.

What a shame though that some are questioning whether or not LT will be on it. I don't care what he did off the field, it'd be a crime to leave off arguably the best defensive player of all time.

God damn, I wasn't going to go because I have work the next day and it's a 3 hour drive home.

All the talk about the 18 game schedule and how it would be too long and players risking injuries got me to thinking..

Why don't they schedule a Conference wide bye week in the middle of the season for each conference? I say conference wide because theres no way the NFL would shut down for an entire week, so essentially the season would be 20 weeks long, with each team getting its normal bye week plus say Week 9 is the AFC's week off and week 11 is the NFC's week off. Or they could just do 2 bye weeks, 1 in the first 10 weeks and 1 in the 2nd 10 weeks...

I do honestly think 18 games is too much though, but I have a feeling its going to happen.

FearedSanctity 09-30-2010 04:58 AM

So how long until the UFL becomes the NFL's farm system? With Goodell and the NFLPA wanting to cut down on most offseason activities, it may be best. NFL is waaaaay overdue for one anyway. Too many players with potential who never get a chance to make 53 man rosters

Reavant 09-30-2010 07:51 AM

NFL doesnt need a farm system because they have a draft

Kris P Lettus 09-30-2010 08:31 AM

NFL farm system is the NCAA..

The steel curtain will be opened Oct 31..

Emperor Smeat 09-30-2010 06:56 PM

Surprised Illinois didn't go to Bears since Chicago is a big market in terms of football and most sports.

Reavant 09-30-2010 07:05 PM

thats how pessimistic the bears fans are

IC Champion 09-30-2010 07:15 PM

Well Jay Cutler is there starting qb...

Droford 09-30-2010 07:33 PM

The Chiefs could be the only undefeated team left if the Ravens win and the Giants win..

IC Champion 09-30-2010 07:53 PM

I'm picking the Ravens, I don't see a third string QB doing much against that defence.

and I dont see a Ray Rice-less Ravens offense doing much against the Steelers' defense.

I will be shocked (happily of course) if the Ravens win but Im not gonna be depressed about a loss unless they give it away late or something. But obviously 2 games back of the Steelers already and probably in 3rd place in the division at the quarter pole isn't what was expected of the Ravens..

Crimson 10-01-2010 12:54 AM

Rice is gonna play.

So MLB doesn't need minor leagues, either?

Reavant 10-01-2010 09:23 AM

MLB can sign guys to contracts right out of high school and they dont have a draft so yes they do need them. What dont you understand here?

I don't understand this. MLB does have a draft. They have 2 drafts actually. Don't know what's going on here.

FearedSanctity 10-01-2010 01:27 PM

NFL does need a minor league IMO in part due to players going from college to pro going from like 200+ teams to 32. Leaves a lot of talent out there. And while yeah the NFL does have the best there is, what about the guys who just need some time. College leaves players with 4 years tops, and that's IF you start as a freshman.

Having a farm system allows guys a better chance to develop. Practice squads are pretty shit, at least with a minor league you get the chance to see what a guy really has in game situations instead of practice, without having to try to fit him in onto your 53 man roster AND try to get him on the field during gameday. SHit would work wonders for rookie QBs like Tebow or Bradford, actually allowing them to play instead of just practice and a couple preaseason games per year.

And wtf? Yeah, MLB not only has a draft, but isn't at leats one of them like 1000 rounds long? Don't understand how hockey, baseball and basketball can have drafts, college teams and minor/developmental leagues, but it's just not right for the NFL

IC Champion 10-01-2010 01:38 PM

Farm Systems would benefit QB's big time, and with an 18 game regular season, and fewer pre-season games, QBs are going to have less time in the future to develop. If it wasn't for the pre-season, the packers would never have known that Aaron Rodgers was ready to be a starter.

CINCINNATI -- Charity-minded callers are getting intercepted by a sex phone line because of a misprint on Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco's namesake cereal boxes.

Because of a wrong toll-free prefix for a number listed on Ochocinco's cereal, callers are directed to a phone sex line instead of a children's charity. The phone number is supposed to connect callers to Feed the Children, which benefits from sales of "Ochocinco's." But because the box has the wrong toll-free prefix, they get a seductive-sounding woman who makes risque suggestions and then asks for a credit card number.

McLegend 10-03-2010 12:05 PM

O shit gentleman. This is huge.

That time of the week again. I have a boner

Droford 10-03-2010 01:31 PM

Im not overly excited right now..and most of the excitement I do have is more for the copious amounts of money Im about to win, not the Ravens/Steelers game.

Just not feeling it today.

McLegend 10-03-2010 01:33 PM

I am most excited.

Innovator 10-03-2010 01:33 PM
