|

|
Free Birds 8/10
A lot better than I was expecting. |
The Raid 2 9/10
Pretty damn solid action movie. "Hammer Girl" was pretty intense. |
The Untouchables: 9/10. Almost forget how friggen money Kevin Costner was in the late 80's-early 90's.
|
Anchorman 2: 9/10

Captain America: The Winter Soldier - 5/5
Any movie, ANY MOVIE, with Anthony Mackie in it automatically makes it great. Along with the non-stop action, acting, and various comic book material make it all the better. |
The Raid 2 - 4.5/5
Not as great as the first one, but the brutality and violence is right up there where is should be. |
The Grandmaster - 3.5/5
|
The Machine - 8/10
Really creepy sci-fi flick, could almost be described as a prequel to Blade Runner. Or spiritual prequel at least. Very inspired by Blade Runner, but definitely takes its own turns in the story. Not the greatest acting, but done in a really minimal way that made me appreciate it. |
Thor 7.5/10
The second film is better, but still, I enjoyed it Cabin in the Woods 7.5/10 It is a bit ridiculous, but an interesting take on a horror staple. |
Avengers Assemble 9/10
|
G.I. Joe: Retaliation - 1/5
|
The Expendables - 3.5 out of 5
|
Dark Skies-8.75/10
Creepy as shit given the circumstances. Fuck the "grays." |
Transcendence.
Actually good sci-fi movie. I can reference the plotline ranging from Her, to Terminator-ish Skynet dominance and Mass effect's storyline of Illusive Man wanting to control synthetics and co-existing with organics.. With a bit of Russell Crowe's Virtuosity style of villainy.. No wonder Manson attended the premiere with Johnny Depp. I think he liked it too. 8/10. |

I'm not a Rock mark, either. |
Didn't really have a whole lot to do with G.I. Joe honestly, stick with the animated movie.
|
I felt bad for Ray Park and Byung-Hun Lee. They must have came onto the set and were like "Where is everyone"?
I don't count Channing Tatum coming back for 5 minutes and a big paycheck. |
Frozen 7/10
It was alright, nowhere near the heady heights of Aladdin or even Tarzan. And when did they start doing the extra bit after the credits with Disney too? |
Oh, shit; Netflix has Rik Mayall's "Drop Dead Fred" film. I think I'll be watching that on Friday. It has been so long since I last saw that film.

Frances Ha (2012) - 8/10 - Really liked a lot. Kinda like "Girls" but better. Really like Greta Gerwig. :)
The Comedy (2012) - 5/10 - did not like Take the Money and Run (1969) - 8/10 - really funny for 1969 movie. Usually "comedies" from back then are not funny at all to me but this def "holds up"... Woody Allen... What's Up, Tiger Lily? (1966) - 2/10 - w0rst Woody Allen movie. just a Japanese movie dubbed over with re-written American lines to try to make it "funny" but was s000 unfunny to me |
R.I.P.D. 7/10
Not the horrible abortion I heard it was supposed to be. |
The Lone Ranger 1/10
I turned it off after 40 minutes - what a steaming pile of shit |
The Hunger Games 8/10
|
Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
7/10 It was a lot better than the LOTR movies, I might have to watch the first one now. If someone told me sooner it was a dragon movie I would have went and saw it in the theaters |
Conan The Barbarian 7.5/10
Not a bad reboot. |
Strictly Ballroom 7/10
I don't know why. |
South Beach Academy-6 outta 10
Cheesy mid 90s Corey Feldman comedy with Al Lewis. |

It's been 9 yrs before this happened. Wow. It felt like watching The Hitcher this time around with car/truck chase scenes.. Still, I'm in the minority that I enjoy this just as much as the 1st one. Gore Galore: Intestines, penis cut-off, torso ripped out,: TRIPLE CHECK. Kangaroos being run over by the truck: Double Check.. Didn't see that one coming.. Poor Kangaroos. Sniper Headshot splatters: Check. It’s like Crocodile Dundee, High Tension, Texas Chain Saw and Elm Street all mixed into one insanely fun, yet dirty, grimy and vicious slasher massacre. 8/10. |
Metallica: Through the Never. The plotline just took a huuuge backseat as a random music video everytime Metallica plays the next song.. Best part was the Sandman when the pyro and stage collapses and James told the audience to stop and check the whole staff... Does that happen often in their concerts too? Cos, it's like Cunning Stunts Live on DVD as well. Similar accident during the Enter Sandman song... Damn.
And we still don't know what was in that roadie's package... Weed? New drums? etc? whatever, this movie was just another kick-ass live concert masquerading as a horror flick. 7/10. Call them overrated sellouts, Napster greedy fuckers, they still got it for their age.. At least, I didn't care for Metallica's current album lately. |
In Your Eyes: Joss Whedon penned love story about two people who are psychically connected and fall in love despite never wing in the same place he'd been writing in the 90's. Kinda fits in better in the present day considering the popularity of Internet dating etc. Very touching at times and a lot of the dialogue is very obviously Joss Whedon. Fell a little flat here and there but really enjoyed it for the most part.

Jackie Brown - 8.5/10
|
The Social Network - 7/10
|
Raising Arizona 7/10
Oz the Great and Powerful 8/10 |
The Inn Keepers-8/10
Nice little suspense/horror film. Not a lot of gore or spooks, but great tension and buildup to the ending. Kick-Ass 2-8/10 Don't get why this got critically panned. I mean, I usually agree with critics upon seeing films, but this was not the case. I loved it. Had funny moments, some serious stuff, hand to hand action was great. The ending was a little...weird...but overall I really enjoyed it. |
Transformers 3 - Dark of the Moon 4/10
All the Transformers films are naff; I only watched it because I was bored and needed a breather from the awesome House of Cards. |
