World War Z 7/10

Saving Mr. Banks - 9/10

Reading about it, it isn't so true to reality, but I enjoyed it. Would have liked a bit more at the end, but I guess they didn't want to change even more.

12 Years a Slave - 4/5

Corporate CockSnogger 02-10-2014 03:06 PM

Primer - I dunno, strange, I enjoyed it a bit even though I didn't really know what was going on in like 60% of the film.

El Vaquero de Infierno 02-11-2014 11:13 AM

Dallas Buyers Club 8/10

I thought Jared Leto was fantastic in it. He should probably get an Oscar for his performance.

Is that the "realistic time travel" movie? Saw that a few years back, have it on my Netflix list.

Underworld: Awakening - 3.5 out of 5

Lock Jaw 02-17-2014 01:44 AM

Oldboy (American Remake) - 3/5.

Was ok. I'd probably have liked it a whole lot better if it came first, but it didn't so it has to deal with getting compared to the Korean version..... and compared to that version, the American one is "ok". The story is still there, but the Korean version seems more "impactful" with its visuals, and some of the acting/directing choices etc....

Just dropping by to say that I haven't seen any new movie in a very long time due to the fact that I have no life.

Black Widow 02-17-2014 10:27 AM

Lego Movie

8/10

The Condor 02-17-2014 11:56 AM

Lord of the Rings(whatever the first one is subtitled)- 7/10

GF wanted to get me into these movies, and this was ok. I cannot complain. Eventually I'll get to these others.

whiteyford 02-17-2014 12:02 PM

They really are just hour long movies about midgets going for a walk. It's a pretty walk I grant you.

dronepool 02-17-2014 01:05 PM

Thor Dark World - 6.2 out of 10 (A bit better than the first movie but nothing special to me, that train scene was dumb as hell. Had some cool scenes, but eh.)

Elysium- 8/10

Kick Ass 2- 7/10

Bobholly138 02-18-2014 02:22 AM

Devil Dog the hound of hell-6/10 OK 70s made for TV horror. Richard Crenna saves the film.

El Vaquero de Infierno 02-19-2014 01:08 PM

Her 8/10

I continue to fall in love with Amy Adams whenever I see her. I don't know what it is.

Jack Ryan: shadow Recruit 7/10

Razzamajazz 02-19-2014 07:57 PM

bad grandpa - 5/10
the shitting on the wall made me laugh pretty hard

Blitz 02-20-2014 03:17 AM

Robocop (2013): 6.5/10, Ridiculous but entertaining enough. Kinnaman was pretty solid in the lead. Too restrained, seemed afraid to go too over the top.

I kind of want to see that. For years I wanted to visit CBGBs because so many bands I love got their start at it. But I never managed to make it up that way before it was closed. IIRC Joel D Moore plays Joey Ramone. He at least looks like Joey.

Elite Squad-8.5/10

Really well done Brazilian film about the Bopo. Which is the Police special forces. Last year after a Wildkat Sports show I met 3 Brazilians who are living in New Orleans. And they were kind of surprised that I had seen Elite Squad. Plus told me that the subtitles on it are shit. I know there is a sequel but I have no idea if it has gotten a region 1 release yet. If you like the TV show The Shield check out Elite Squad. As of a few weeks back it was up on Youtube.

Bobholly138 02-21-2014 04:10 AM

Barbarians of Draxxor-9/10

This is a video mixtape of all those 80s Conan the barbarian ripoffs. Jombi took the best parts of the Deathstalker,Ator,Yor,Beastmaster, etc films and blended them with music to make a very entertaining hour long film.

I just watched it for Ashley Greene.

Popcorn-7/10

I haven't seen this early 90s slasher since around 1993.But with all the bullshit flying around between Code Red DVD and the fat ass lying piece of shit Micheal Felsher I have been wanting to re-watch it. Found it on Youtube. It isn't as good as I remembered it being. But it is better than the various other slashers from around that time. And it is a nice tribute to William Castle.

One of the better baseball movies I've seen in a long time.

Lock Jaw 02-22-2014 11:13 PM

Men in Black 3 - 7/10

Was ok to watch for a bit of "mindless fun". I don't really remember the second movie, but I'll say it is better than the second movie. Would have liked a stronger ending to the movie. To see more of how the trip to the past "changed" their relationship. Maybe Agent J has a new 4x4 being waxed by Biff or something....
