I doubt it's a change of heart out of goodness. I think their micro-transactions model is paying off. I'd expect that in all games going forward to replace the passes/always on. It's probably a better solution, as long as the micro-transactions aren't gameplay altering. Just shortcuts and cosmetic.

It's also possible the profits they were making in OP didn't match the perceived lost revenue from the policy.

Probably drop the franchise as a whole for a while since I think Patriots was meant to be a reboot or change in direction for the Six series.
