This is great. I can't wait to see JR Smith start losing games for the Cavs now.

Innovator 01-06-2015 10:24 AM

Lebron's head might explode watching JR play alongside him

Nets Russian owner is selling off his majority share in the team with the main reason related to the struggling Russian economy. Between that and losing $144 million last year, became too expensive for him to want to keep the team.

ClockShot 01-13-2015 07:06 PM

Economy? Pfft. He promised Nets fans he'd deliver them a Championship within 5 years of buying the team. He didn't deliver.

McLegend 01-13-2015 07:55 PM

When did The Hawks go back to their old logo?

Emperor Smeat 01-13-2015 07:56 PM

Celtics-Nuggets trade:
Cs got Nate Robinsion
Nuggets got Jameer Nelson

Clippers and Cavs both interested in Robinsion once he buys out his contract.

Nuggets also close to trading away Arron Afflalo and Randy Foye.

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-13-2015 08:08 PM

C's get Donkey Back. Where is Shrek?

ClockShot 01-13-2015 08:18 PM

This like Nate Robinson's 3rd tour with the Celtics?

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-13-2015 09:05 PM

If he was released and re-signed in his first term there without joining another team yes. Second term if not.

Wizards beat Spurs first time since 2005

Maybe us Knicks fans will luck out and they'll miss their flight back and have to stay in London..........permanently.

Emperor Smeat 01-15-2015 06:53 PM

Cs-Clippers-Suns trade:
Celtics get Shavlik Randolph, Chris Douglas-Roberts, and Clippers 2017 2nd Round draft pick.
Clippers get Austin Rivers (from the Grizzles-Pelicans-Cs deal).
Suns get Reggie Bullock.

Other stuff involving those teams included Nate Robinson bought out his contract with the Cs, Clippers expected to waive Jordan Farmar to get Nate Robinson, and Cs expected to release Chris Douglas-Roberts.

Celtics also interested in one more trade before the deadline if the right offer for Brandon Bass pops up.

New commish says the NBA might consider the idea of tweaking the playoff system so only division winners get guaranteed spots and then 10 spots for the best remaining records regardless of conference. Main reason for the idea is related to how long the West has currently been the more dominating conference in terms of records and teams.

Quote:

"Ultimately we want to see your best teams in the playoffs," Silver said. "And there is an unbalance and a certain unfairness. There is a proposal where the division winners would all automatically go into the playoffs and then you’d seed the next 10 best teams. I think that’s the kind of proposal we need to look at. There are travel issues of course, but in this day in age every team of course has their own plane, travels charter. I don’t think the discussion should end there. And as I’ve said, my first year I was studying a lot of these issues and year two is time to take action. It’s something I’m going to look at closely with the competition committee. I do think it’s an area where we need to make a change."

MLS tried that idea for a few years with their playoffs before going back to the traditional way. Then again they also had a couple of years with 3 conferences and took the top 8 overall records for playoffs as well.

Ruien 02-07-2015 10:51 AM

I like the idea. Will prevent the first round from having every series but 1 in the East not really mattering. Seriously retarded that the East is so terrible.

Clerk 02-10-2015 09:16 AM

Cavs are the best.

RP 02-10-2015 11:57 AM

Pacers are the best team

Kings hired George Karl to be their new coach. Deal is for 4 years and around $15 million. Won't show up until next week due to personal issues he's dealing with this week.

Ruien 02-12-2015 11:08 PM

Bulls fucking the Cavs up the ass.

ClockShot 02-16-2015 11:28 AM

Knicks and Amar'e Stoudemire agree to a buyout.

Smartest move Phil Jackson has done in his tenure thus far.

my fear for the Lakers is that they become the Knicks.

At some point, you have to accept you're rebuilding, and fully commit to that.
