I was hoping the franchise would switch hands after X3 (as much as I love Hugh, Patrick, and Ian). Along with Spidey after Spidey 3 so they could be included in Marvel Films grander plans.

I mean, you'd figure they'd want to use the New Avengers somewhere down the line (3rd or 4th Avengers movie, maybe?), which means they'd need Spider-Man and Wolverine free to join the team.

Hugh's gonna film Wolverine 2 next year, imagine he pulls some shenanigans and walks on the set of Avengers - in garb - for a quick scene. Fox would probably sue him and everyone involved, but the epicness can never be undone.

The Deadpool movie seems alright, since it can sort of be it's own thing and function outside of the X-Men tent, at least for casual audiences.
But Wolverine is inseperable from X-Men. People are going to be wondering what the fuck connection there is between these new X-Men movies, the old ones, and the Wolverine movies. Especially if they introduce Wolverine in the new films. |

Thank god for Avengers. Finally saw the Thor trailer, and it was fucking amazing. Destroyer is perfect perfect PERFECT. Can really tell the people working on it are genuine fans.
Only nitpicky thing for me so far is that as good an actor as Anthony Hopkins is, I don't really know if he will work as Odin. In the comics, he has a presence that makes Dr. Doom seem like a fuzzy kitten. Hopkins doesn't seem intimidating enough, at least from a visual standpoint. |
