You think Chucky is better than Gravity?

9/10.

25 yrs and he's still scaring the shit out of kids... The heroine is actually Chucky's daughter in real life considering Brad is the voiceover of him and they share the same last name.. Would've been a nicer twisted ending where father and daughter are now partners in crime ... Woman in a wheelchair gone insane under the influence of Chucky. And that backstory origin of Chucky as a serial killer befriending the heroine's family was a bit contrived but still, I liked it better when he was just some unknown stranger killer that has no history except he likes voodoo stuff and strangling people.. It was a better movie than the last one although Jennifer Tilly's cameo was a bit of self parody. Oh well, Chucky's still got it and we're still friends to the end.

My only gripe with The Curse of Chucky movie is
SPOILER: show
when he played Hide the Soul with the little girl, how come we never get to see his spirit transfer over her body?
What gives? Oh well, dolls live longer than humans I guess.

Extra ending after end credits btw will probably open up a sequel for it.

You mean the extra ending where
SPOILER: show
a grown-up Andy shoots Chucky in the face with a rifle? How is that a good opening for a sequel?

I read in some interview of the director saying that his plans for a sequel takes place after that ending but you never know.
SPOILER: show
Chucky never dies easily
in the movies. And I still don't get the part of
SPOILER: show
the little girl who played Hide the Soul with him.. And he never accomplished the feat. It seems offscreen that we don't know if she's infected with his spirit or not.

Hence why I said there needs to be a sequel to explain that.

More of the same and what's worse than men ass raping a woman in this one?

Answer:
SPOILER: show
Another fucking woman who's a mom to these sick ass rapists and she endorses raping in general and she's married to her former rapist who also rapes the heroine.

The 2nd is just as extreme gore stuff as the first one, like balls being squashed, tased and ultimately slicing both of them, the guy's face being drowned in the dirtiest toilet full of shit and slicing abdomens open.

7/10.

Gravity - Pass.Pass +

GD 10-08-2013 06:26 PM

Gravity - 8/10

The AMC IMAX screen was utter garbage. The one back in Mass was a massive screen along with impressive sound and buttkickers.

RoXer 10-08-2013 06:30 PM

The AMC IMAX I always go to is really nice

Moonrise Kingdom - pass

I didn't expect Roxer to like Wes Anderson.

RoXer 10-20-2013 10:49 PM

Fantastic Mr. Fox is good. Maybe even pass.pass good. Royal Tenenbuams I saw like half of in high school. Might watch it sometime this month since it's on my mind.

GD 10-21-2013 12:51 AM

Royal Tenenbaums is my favourite Wes Anderson movie as of yet.

GD 10-21-2013 03:49 AM

Rushmore - 8/10

Digitizing my entire physical movie collection was a very good decision. It eliminates the need to slip in a disc and pausing / playback is better. I get to control what I would like to keep and I can delete the rest. No warnings, trailers or menus to bother me.

Schlomey 10-21-2013 12:30 PM

"a lot more better"

:nono:

GD 10-21-2013 02:29 PM

Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel - I'd seen half of it a few years ago and had always meant to try and find it on DVD or something. Some braud recommended it to me the other day and I was like "oh yeah!" so downloaded it. Fun and enjoyable, doesn't take itself too seriously.

The Adjustment Bureau - Really liked it. Love Matt Damon. Love Emily Blunt.

The Condor 10-23-2013 03:15 PM

The Expendables: 8/10 PASS

Movies like this are disregarded by most people, but when done with the verve and enjoyment which this film obviously was, they are great.

The Condor 10-23-2013 03:19 PM

Ball of Fury: 2.4/10 FAIL

Drek

Dazed and Confused - 7/10

The Condor 10-24-2013 12:58 AM

Machete Kills: 8.5/10 PASS

If Mel Gibson had more screen time this may have approached "10" territory; he seriously was that fun. Just as advertised, it was pure carnage and mayhem for an hour and a half.

GD 10-25-2013 06:13 PM

The Crow - 6.5/10

Really enjoyed the movie. I did not know that Brandon Lee was Bruce Lee's son and he died while shooting the movie.

GD 10-28-2013 03:46 AM

The Great Gatsby - 6/10

Leonardo DiCaprio was amazing as always. I feel like I should read the book as many have stated that the film strays away from it.

The movie deserves to be watched on Blu-Ray or IMAX 3D.

RoXer 10-29-2013 06:31 PM

I am in the middle of watching The Great Gatsby. I don't know why. It is very bad. Maybe even fail.fail bad. Yeesh

7? Did you mean 7/7?

I think he meant on a scale of 7 guys.

Thor 2 - 8/10

I quite enjoyed it. I haven't seen the first so I can't compare the two, but I liked the humour and so forth.

I really should see Avengers Assemble, as Iron Man 3, this film, and Agents od Shield; all reference events to it, and I feel that I am missing part of the story.

Schlomey 10-30-2013 12:58 PM

how did you already see thor 2?

Schlomey 10-30-2013 12:59 PM

Silent Hill 2
4/10

it was just ok

Last Vegas - fail.pass/pass.pass

It is like an old man's The Hangover, except I have not seen The Hangover so I don't know if that's true et. al. I thought a few parts were funny but I couldn't tell if I was being affected by the movie theater setting or the crowd around me laughing. A few subtle things that I liked though so whatever. Near the beginning this lady turned around and told me and this Mexican girl to stop talking when we weren't really being loud and I just looked at her and started to laugh and was gonna ask her what her Final Four was but then my Mexican friend apologized and saved me from that.
