Lol, was just looking up some ROH talent to see who I might be interested in following. Clicked on Cedric Alexander's page and read this: "Has Caught in MMA Once under the Name Alexander Cedricson. In that Fight He Beat Brock Lesner By KO in 3 seconds in the 1st round."

Bruiser Brody and Owen Hart's doppel gangers have won the Monster Factory tag team titles

Ceasaro takes over for the short term feud against Owens while Cena-Owens IV match gets spaced out a bit more.

Sounds good to me.

The North American Wrestling Rankings blog reported the following on Sheamus reaching a new milestone:

"When Sheamus defeated Roman Reigns by countout on the 7/6/15 episode of Raw it was his 200th televised singles victory! The Celtic Warrior is the first wrestler to win 200 tv matches!!! [He was just the 4th wrestler to win 100 matches back on 8/3/12]. Others nearing this milestone [as of 7/8/15] are Randy Orton with 197 wins and John Cena with 188."
His matches are good but he is boring as hell aside from that.

I remember him having a really good match with Tensai once Tensai lost his push.

According to the sheets, TNA is facing an ultimatum of sorts this week.

Either the checks they promised to production arrives on time or else they might not be able to tape the next show or shows if the crew walks out in protest.

Think they have another sets of checks promised to arrive by next month or two from the recent June set of tapings that could face a similar ultimatum as well.

"Owen" looks more like a result from that "Frankenstein A Wrestler" thread, where someone spliced the remains of Owen with some DNA from Neville, Enzo Amore, resedue from CM Punk's tattooists needle, and shot all that shit into the sun on a missile like so much Nuclear Man.

It's that time of year where the local indy fed here put on their "big event" in August.

So the big names appearing this year are Ted DiBiase (for around the eighth year in a row), Terry Funk (again), Colt Cabana and Chyna.

For some reason though, the fed, that prides itself on being a "wrestling promotion for all the family", have used an image of Chyna from one of her porn shoots on all the posters and banners around the city here and on social media.

Although she does have a bra on, but it's not doing a great job at containing her breasts. The poster just looks like the cover of some strange porno, as DiBiase and Cabana are at either side of her.

Dusty Rhodes, a Great American Dream
Last surviving hero
Meanest man I’ve ever seen

Dusty Rhodes, his legend will live on
Funky rap, a fur skin cap
The Lone Star’s favorite son

Listen to my story about a man like you and me
Walking tall and fighting proud
A man of decency

Lightning flashed
The rain poured down
A dreadful Texas storm
And as the thunder clapped once more, Dusty Rhodes was born

Dusty Rhodes, a Great American Dream
Last surviving hero
Meanest man I’ve ever seen

Dusty Rhodes, his legend will live on
Funky rap, a fur skin cap
The Lone Star’s favorite son

Some folks dream of riches and others would be king
Dusty’s only goal in life was wrestling in that ring
So he took them one by one from near and far away
And you can hear the echo of his movement when they say

Dusty Rhodes, a Great American Dream
Last surviving hero
Meanest man I’ve ever seen

Dusty Rhodes, his legend will live on
Funky rap, a fur skin cap
The Lone Star’s favorite son

Dusty Rhodes, The American Dream
Can you dig what I’m sayin’?
Just a little bully from Austin, Texas
And now I move people, baby
Now I move people!
And people love me ‘cause I move 'em
And I never lie to 'em
And when I say I’m gonna whip somebody’s can
When I say I’m gonna walk tall
Then I tell ya for damn sure I’m walkin’ tall

And from the windy city a rich man did appear
He put a bounty on his head, they came from far and near
And when the dust had settled, The Dream stood proud and tall
And from the chanting movement came the great American call

Dusty Rhodes, a Great American Dream
Last surviving hero
Meanest man I’ve ever seen

Dusty Rhodes, his legend will live on
Funky rap, a fur skin cap
The Lone Star’s favorite son

Dusty Rhodes, The American Dream!
Wrestling’s my game
Pain is what it’s all about
And the thing that makes me so good is I know how good I am
And the thing that makes me so great is the people know how good I am
I’m doing it for everybody - the brown, the black, the white, the green, and the yellow
I’m gonna be there when you fall
When you’re eating your TV dinners wanting to be somebody
Then turn on the tube - I’m gonna make ya be somebody
When you want to live
When you want to walk
When you want to talk
When you want to cuss your foreman out
When you want to tell your old lady where to go
Then turn on the set, and I’m gonna help you, baby, 'cause Dusty Rhodes is the dream - The American Dream

Feel like if they really want Reigns to win the title, they should hold off til mania, and have him be the one to beat Cena for the US title. Give him a proper progression to the top.

At the very least let owens beat cena at Battleground and then have Reigns win it at Survivor Series

A security guard at a 2013 WWE house show has filed a lawsuit after he says he was hit with a chair. The suit (via Courthouse News Service) names Dean Ambrose, John Cena, Ryback, Ryback, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Kane, Daniel Bryan, Fandango, R-Truth, Cody Rhodes, Cesaro and Damien Sandow as defendants and claims that he was struck from behind with the chair “about the head, neck, and back.”

The plaintiff, Troy Rivers, says he was hired to work an event in the Savannah Civic Center and that his job was simply to “stand with his back to the ring” and monitor the crowd. The hit happened “suddenly, with no warning” and while he believes it was Dean Ambrose who hit him, he isn’t sure because his back was turned.

Rivers attorney said, “We haven’t reviewed the video from the event yet, so we’re bringing in everyone on the card that night. Only one guy did it, but we don’t know which one yet.”

Rivers claims the incident left him with “serious, significant and permanent personal injuries.” His wife, who is also a plaintiff, says that the incident has cost her “conjugal fellowship” with Rivers and accuses WWE of gross negligence causing “physical and mental anguish, diminishment of his earning capacity, and continues to suffer a loss of enjoyment of life.”

Rivers is seeking unspecified punitive and compensatory damages.

WWE said that they have no knowledge of “any such incident and the security company that hired the plaintiff doesn’t have any record of this matter either. Furthermore, the plaintiff’s attorney has admitted he has no basis to sue the individual defendants named in the lawsuit.”

Sepholio 07-14-2015 12:04 PM

People from Savannah are notorious for trying to sue everyone to get a free pay day.

Last year around the time of the Mike Brown incident, Savannah also had an issue with police killing a guy so we had some small protests. Mind you this is summer in the south, so there is a massive bug problem and pest control is a big deal so there are helicopters and trucks that spray insect repellents etc. A group of 100ish protesters has now decided they are going to sue the city, the county, the state and everyone in between for not stopping the mosquito sprayers while they were out protesting, claiming they were all poisoned intentionally for protesting injustice.

Let me put this quite simple. I've been standing right next to the mosquito truck when it was spraying before. It might stink like shit, but it isn't enough to anywhere near poison a person. They were nowhere near the source of the spray; just got minimal odor. They are all bullshit. But people and the lawyers here are sue-crazy so they don't care. This is just another example.

If Dean Ambrose hit me with a chair.....I might ask WWE officials for his autograph or a free shirt maybe and then tell everyone how cool that experience was.

Anybody Thrilla 07-14-2015 12:33 PM

Ziggler being written off TV has fueled speculation that there might be contract issues between him and WWE, but that is not the case.

PWInsider.com has confirmed that Ziggler has indeed signed a new deal with WWE, and he was written off TV as he is currently in Vancouver shooting the upcoming WWE Studios movie “6:42.” The movie is a thriller, and Ziggler will play a cop named Ray Fitzpatrick, who has to overcome his past while dealing with a plot to blow up a child with a bomb strapped to their chest.

Filming of the movie is scheduled to last four weeks, which will put Ziggler back on WWE TV in mid-August and in time for the SummerSlam PPV.

Monday's episode of WWE RAW, featuring NXT Divas and the final Battleground hype, drew 3.531 million viewers. This is down 3% from last week's 3.647 million viewers. For this week's show, the first hour drew 3.432 million viewers, the second hour drew 3.514 million viewers and the final hour drew 3.647 million viewers. Cable TV was dominated by MLB's coverage of the All-Star Game Home Run Derby last night. The Derby drew 7.126 million viewers on ESPN.
In terms of historic viewership stuff, continuing the trend of this year being one of the lowest since the late 90s. Also the WWE's so-called "main event match" for the 1st hour ended up doing nothing to help.

In an update to the Roddy Piper, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Podcast One situation, Piper is alleging on Twitter that Podcast one has sent a cease and desist letter. The cease and desist apparently states that the WWE Hall of Famer Piper can't publish any more podcasts, regardless of where they're hosted. Piper had moved to Soundcloud after having a major falling out with Podcast One earlier in the year. Piper blamed Austin's complaint on his sour relationship with Podcast One, as well as the cease and desist letter. Austin had an episode of Piper's Pit pulled months ago when he didn't like the subject matter, which included former Mad TV cast member Will Sasso impersonating him.
According to the Observer, the letter was sent because Piper tried to renege on his buyout deal with Podcast One. Austin was also more upset at Piper never bothering to ask if he wanted to be a guest and misleading listeners than the prank itself.

Ziggler playing a cop? It's hard to imagine a cop with Ziggler's bleach-blonde hairstyle. Maybe we'll see "Big Evan Bourne" return to the WWE?

Mr. Nerfect 07-15-2015 08:14 AM

I had a weird idea that Batista could return at Battleground and help out Seth Rollins. This could lead to Batista vs. Lesnar (The Animal vs. The Beast) and Seth Rollins defending the World Title against Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose in The Shield Triple Threat.

Last time Ziggler was on TV, it looked like he was growing his hair out more but not dying it.

So maybe the plan is for him to grow his hair more but not dye it, and then get a haircut so all the blonde is out but he still has a decent amount of hair that's his natural colour.

Or maybe he'll have really short hair, similar to when he was on Raw with his "Evan Bourne" style.

Dolph's a handsome guy. Now that his presence has grown even more, he could get a more conventional look and come off as more "serious."

If he does, he doesn't hold it for long as I believe the Triple Threat WM rematch for Summerslam is the way they are going to go.....

5 to 1 says Undertaker interferes on Sunday.

Innovator 07-15-2015 03:54 PM

Instead of a contract signing, next time they should just do a weigh in.

In a way it sort of makes sense considering how the WWE's handled it in the past.

SPOILER: show
Like all the recent Streak matches, Undertaker only starts to appear once someone summons his name in a demeaning manner. Heyman did that this week when he was making fun of Kane by invoking Undertaker's name as a taunt.

Probably also means the WWE has no long term plans for SS's big marquee match and are just tossing that out with very little real build as the match to hype the most.

Oh God, that would be pretty atrocious of it happens.

Will be disappointed if Brock loses at BattleGround. Will stop watching if Taker beats Lesnar at SummerSlam (until the royal rumble).

Mr. Nerfect 07-15-2015 09:22 PM

The Undertaker costing Brock Lesnar actually makes sense. I can see them keeping the title on Rollins somehow, but there's no way Rollins is going over cleanly.

The idea of a heel Undertaker (or at least an antagonizing Undertaker) is intriguing in 2015. Plus, having a match at SummerSlam takes off the pressure of Taker having to deliver a classic. And hell, if he doesn't get knocked loopy, it should be an improvement over their WrestleMania match.

Before he properly retires, I expect Taker to work some places that are meaningful to him -- whether they be arenas, cities or just shows. Maybe SummerSlam has a special place in Undertaker's heart?

Mr. Nerfect 07-15-2015 09:23 PM

I scrolled up those Buscemi eyes pictures from the bottom, and had no clue what they had done. Then the phrase "with Steve Buscemi" eyes" made me laugh far more than it should have.

Nothing involving taker in 2015 with Lesnar is interesting.

At the center of the controversy with Shawn Hernandez, who recently returned to TNA and became part of the Beat Down Clan after appearing on the first season of Lucha Underground on The El Rey Network.

TNA sources indicate that Hernandez was signed to a deal by the company after informing TNA that contractually, he was free and clear to do so. After Hernandez made a number of appearances at TNA TV tapings, Lucha Underground approached TNA and informed them that contractually, Hernandez was still their talent, signed to their series and that he was not released from his obligations to their promotion, therefore he could not legally appear on TNA broadcasts.

As you might imagine, this put TNA into a legally actionable position where they could be sued. With Impact Wrestling already pre-filmed well in advance as well, it put the company into a terrible situation where their storylines, which are worked out well in advance, would be useless.

I am told that TNA management attempted to work out an agreement with Lucha Underground that would allow the existing footage to be used, including offering to pay Underground for Hernandez' appearances. We are told that Underground turned down all those attempts. Given that the producers of the Lucha series come from a film and TV background, I was not surprised to hear that.

Since TNA cannot use the footage, the decision was made to pull anything involving the BDC. As of today, all of their current storylines are completed and done as it would be impossible to edit around Hernandez.

I am told that starting tonight, TNA will be replacing those matches and vignettes with existing material, including some matches from the TNA Slammiversary PPV from a few weeks ago. TNA also intends to film material at their Orlando TV Tapings later this month that they can drop into the segments that are no longer available to be used.

The matches and segments that were filmed are (for now at least) completely scrapped and TNA will re-edit all of their TV.

Hernandez, obviously, is gone from TNA and until Lucha Underground begins filming additional material, is now in a position where he's losing work as TNA wanted to use him and cannot.

As far as the rest of the BDC, MVP, Kenny King, etc. are also effectively be off those TV episodes until TNA can get new material with those talents. So, through no fault of their own, a number of TNA talents are now off television suddenly until TNA can work them back in while talents who wrestled them also find their matches yanked.

Everything affected because of Hernandez's stupidity: 2 tag matches the Wolves and Kenny King/MVP were involved with, #1 contenders Battle Royale for the TNA title, cage match involving Bobby Lashley, and a #1 contender's ladder match for the TNA title. Might be even more stuff depending on any skits or promos that had Hernandez involved.

Another issue for Lucha Underground has been that many of their talents are frustrated with the company, according to Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Many talents have been asking about a second season for months and haven't received any word. When we spoke to King Cuerno last month, he confirmed the news to us.

Many of the talents don't want to book shows at a certain point on the off-chance that the second season is announced and they have to do those tapings.

Bryan Alvarez mentioned on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Live that even though Sara Lee is being portrayed as incompetent on Tough Enough, the idea is to set her up to win. Alvarez said that the show is designed to put her over as a babyface you want to see win at the end.
According to the Observer, WWE doesn't really want ZZ to win and instead their hand picked choice of Joshua Bredl instead. They never expected ZZ would have ended up as the runaway people's choice when they came up with the fan voting idea.

Tuesday's WWE Tough Enough produced 997,000 million viewers, according to ShowbuzzDaily.com. Viewership was down from the 1.221 million viewers the show drew for USA Network last week.
In terms of series history, this week was the lowest ever for viewers.

The bad news continues for WWE Tough Enough, as Chelsea Green has apparently gone down with an injury during a challenge being taped today in Orlando. Chelsea – who was just brought on to the show as a replacement for Dianna, who quit the competition – was carried off by Tanner and was sporting a heavily bandaged ankle.

Some other sheet news includes:
  • Current speculation Jack Swagger could be leaving the WWE very soon since his official WWE Twitter account got deleted by him or the WWE recently. Supposedly he's been upset at his current status and lack of overall direction within the company for a while now.
