Day one Del Rio hater here.

drave 05-30-2024 08:05 AM

His announcer and entrance were more over than the wrassler

screech 05-30-2024 10:27 AM

His vignettes with the cars and shit were awesome.

Mr. Nerfect 05-30-2024 04:12 PM

I’m intrigued by this TNA/NXT relationship. TNA playing the role of ECW getting propped up by the WWF. I guess it provides more opportunities for TNA talent and could lead to fresh angles for NXT. It could also strengthen a relationship between WWE and Anthem, so if/when AEW are out on their ass post-WBD deal, it even makes an AXS TV deal difficult.

Savio 05-31-2024 10:14 AM

Watch the WWE Biography on Macho Man Randy Savage makes me hate Bubba the Shit Sponge even more.

Fucking go away. I thought you and Hogan had a falling out after you leaked the tape of him fucking your wife.

Mr. Nerfect 05-31-2024 03:14 PM

Oh, he’s still around being a total piece of shit, talking in wrestling lingo for no reason.

Bubba the Love Sponge, that is. The same could be said for Hulk Hogan.

Mr. Nerfect 05-31-2024 03:16 PM

I’m just thinking about some Randy Savage dream matches right now.

Savage vs. Brock Lesnar would have been amazing. I could go me some Savage vs. Kurt Angle too.

I’m intrigued by this NXT/TNA partnership. There are a lot of benefits. TNA’s are obvious. WWE gets to prove they can play nice, have a place to send talent to freshen them up, access to reserve talent and can put pressure on AEW and other self-professed “challenger brands” trying to blow up the system.

I wouldn’t be shocked to see WWE make a play at the New Japan deal in a similar arrangement.

It’s also a “hot” angle for NXT and allows them to build an arc to pay off either right around or even past the CW Network debut. It also probably pleases the parent company since Endeavor has some sort of relationship with TNA (as weird as that sounds).

Hopefully this leads to WWE having access to that tape library.

I hope when Rhea Ripley gets back they do a Rhea vs Liv "Custody of Dominik" match

Mr. Nerfect 06-08-2024 04:02 PM

I get the joke, but Rhea should just kill them both. I just hope they don’t Vince/Bret or Cole/Lawler it and have it go on too long with unnecessary heat.

Mr. Nerfect 06-08-2024 08:28 PM

I’m kind of looking forward to NXT Battleground. I don’t watch NXT very often. There are times it feels like a pretty kinetic and clever show, but other times it feels so cheesy because of the insane gimmicks. I’m going to check out this show though.

Oba Femi is a beast. Jaida Parker is a star. I’m looking forward to seeing what they do with TNA. I’m hoping for Gail Kim to help Jordynne Grace win and cut promos about how she was all set to lead a revolution in WWE but came against brick wall after brick wall.

Mr. Nerfect 06-08-2024 08:29 PM

Gail Kim should have a cape if she comes back too.

some shane mcmahon punches. the best in the game

Big Vic 06-24-2024 02:01 PM

Brock hated the idea of working with Shane so much he decided to instead book himself to be squashed by Goldberg instead.

Mr. Nerfect 07-04-2024 04:29 AM

I’ll take Shane McMahon punches over New Japan forearms to the neck.

Mr. Nerfect 07-05-2024 04:30 AM

Dijak has revealed himself to be the new Ryback.

Mr. Nerfect 07-07-2024 08:08 AM

Money in the Bank was pretty boring. I kinda hate Punk attacking Drew. I’m no fan of the MITB concept, but this was just too labored. Punk should have cost Drew in the Ladder Match, then a face should have won. I’d have gone with LA Knight. You’ve got a long time to do something with that. I’d consider removing the 1 yr stip on the contracts too

Tiffany winning was cool. I really liked the Chelsea Green finish. Green shouldn’t be one of the best things in the company. But she is entertaining.

Jacob Fatu didn’t really impress me tbh. It was his debut match and that was a pretty big deal. I wouldn’t say he shat the bed or anything, but it was just…there. I think the finish was what it needed to be.

Sami and Bron was goodish. There was a bit of sloppy stuff, but they got it together and it was perfectly fine. Got no problem with Sami retaining in Canada. I imagine we’re going to get a doubled-down heel Bron coming out of this.

The World Title match was pretty awful. Just spot after spot. Can Seth take more time off pls? Damian too. There were a lot of better ways to go about setting up a three-way, which they don’t need to be doing anyway. It feels like everyone is a heel in this program. Then you throw in Gunther.

Perfectly missable. You can just read the results and go on your merry way. They got too cute with some stuff. The pacing of the show is off too. That is probably unavoidable with all their sponsorship shit, but the 5 match thing worked on Takeovers and maybe SOME main roster PPVs. But when everything is just so drawn out it kills the flow and momentum of things.

DAMN iNATOR 07-08-2024 12:44 AM

I gotta say, WTF was the brain-dead ending of NXT Heatwave? Absolutely asinine booking, taking the NXT Championship off Trick Williams for no reason.

Mr. Nerfect 07-08-2024 04:10 AM

I haven’t watched the show yet, but that is genuinely surprising. I might have to check it out now. Here are some possibilities:

1) They want drama and a bit of surprise for upcoming shows. It sells the four-way concept as something more chaotic if it actually does lead to change sometimes.

2) Trick needs time off for something.

3) He’s going to get the main roster call sometime soon. Keep the machine churning.

Blonde Moment 07-08-2024 06:28 AM

Main roster needs a little cleaning before its worth it for anyone being called up

Mr. Nerfect 07-08-2024 06:53 AM

Just watched Heatwave. Liked it better than MITB to be honest. Liked the finish to the main event. Leads to plenty of things.

Mr. Nerfect 07-08-2024 07:34 AM

Oba Femi is so fucking good.

Mr. Nerfect 07-08-2024 07:35 AM

Don’t think they’re calling up Trick after watching it. Probably just a wrinkle in the story.

Mr. Nerfect 07-08-2024 07:53 AM

My other thoughts:

SPOILER: show

* Wes Lee’s psychology really sets him apart from smaller guys. He’s got a natural charisma. He doesn’t seem out of place working with bigger guys who should realistically crush him. I like the story of him pouring his heart into challenging and failing.

* Femi is one of my favorites. He just seems to get it. He can do some pretty crazy things and doesn’t seem to get lost or rush.

* Kelani Jordan vs. Sol Ruca had a good video package. I liked how they kind of did a “same but different” thing with them as babyfaces. Kelani’s got such a cute face, but she’s getting better at projecting an elite athlete’s edge. They made sure to get plenty of footage of Sol in a bikini.

* Some of the gymnastics they did was sloppy, but considering how green they are, this was a good match. Like if Will Ospreay and Ricochet were both trying to win.

* I HATE the Chase U gimmick. The sad thing is they’re all so committed that it’s hard to imagine them doing anything else.

* Andre Chase is really good in the ring. He kind of wrestled like he was trying to play up his gimmick, which I admire even if the gimmick sucks. But I can see how he’d be valued as a player-coach.

* Thea Hail has a lot of energy at ringside.

* Duke Hudson looks like a big boy in there with the champs. He reminds me of Wade Barrett for some reason.

* I don’t mind Axiom & Nathan Frazer together. The flippy guys put their stuff together well in NXT and use body language well. Puts them a cut above AEW guys.

* I also HATE the D’Angelo Family gimmick. I actually got a kick out of Tony doing the promo kind of tongue-in-cheek though. It’s hard to imagine them main roster, but that’s kind of what I’d want him to evolve into. Calls himself the Don or whatever, but he’s kind of just laying it on thick to stir the pot.

* Roxanne Perez is so much better as a heel. Feels way more comfortable.

* I can see why they want Lola Vice to be a star, but I thought this was probably the weakest match on the card. They put it together like a a classic pro-wrestling match, but something is just missing from Vice right now I think. She doesn’t generate that genuine sympathy as a face yet.

* Lol, when I last saw Brooks Jensen I thought he was like a better Adam Page. Now he’s doing the drunk cowboy thing too.

* Main event felt like a classic Takeover match. Evans got great shine and his stuff was quite spectacular. His bump through the table was great. Trick has got the tools. He sold the finish great. This was my first time really taking a look at Ethan Page. He’s good. Shawn Spears showed why he’s a player-coach too.

One thing that needs to stop: Assigning participants in multi-man matches equal percentages of winning. You do not have a 25% chance of winning a four-way match. Zach Gowen did not have a 50% chance of beating Brock Lesnar.

That's only if they add Kurt Angle to the mix.

That's a loaded statement. Do you mean that he's overhyped? Do you mean he thinks everyone up and down the card should get paid the same because it's scripted?? Do you mean he put up an online poll where "retirement" won???

Clarification, please.

Lock Jaw 07-08-2024 11:46 PM

Did he read The Secret?

Mr. Nerfect 07-09-2024 07:55 AM

He’s a few years (months?) away from cutting promos on crying babies and single mothers for attention on social media. I’m making that sound cooler than it actually is.

I feel like the call was "Let's burn the mens MITB ASAP to not deal with the headache of it."

Mr. Nerfect 07-13-2024 07:43 AM

I watched all three WWE shows this week. First time in forever that’s happened, I think. Raw was good, but long. NXT actually wasn’t too bad. There’s stuff I really wish they’d get rid of. Some of the gimmicks there are atrocious. SmackDown was a damn great show. I can only nitpick certain things.

Jacob Fatu is just amazing. And I can’t believe I’m now a mark for Baron Corbin lol.

Mr. Nerfect 07-21-2024 02:35 AM

I had to tap on Raw during the Priest/Gunther segment. The dynamic they’re going for is so forced. Don’t buy into “Champion of the Street People” Damian Priest vs. “You Choose to be Homeless” Gunther at all.

Mr. Nerfect 08-02-2024 03:16 PM

I’m not that excited for SummerSlam. Not that the build to the show has been bad or anything — I’m just not feeling it. Maybe the show itself with stir something out of me?

Lock Jaw 08-02-2024 08:13 PM

No BIG DOG Ramon Reigns

Card feels lackluster.... lacks star power....

Mr. Nerfect 08-03-2024 03:24 AM

I’ve gotten myself a bit more excited after SmackDown.

Logan Paul vs. LA Knight is a bit like watching Stunning Steve feud with Stone Cold. I get a kick out of both guys. I think we’ll get a few surprises.

Mr. Nerfect 08-03-2024 03:25 AM

People still doubt the man, but Solo Sikoa is fantastic at what he does. He’s great at ringside for The Bloodline’s tags too. Way underrated.

Mr. Nerfect 08-03-2024 03:50 AM

Jacob Henry has signed with WWE. Mark Henry mentioning him in that retirement promo was a long time ago now.
