Love me some John Morrison.

Mr. Nerfect 04-16-2023 02:42 PM

There was that period of time where it felt like he was stealing the show every PPV. It was years ago now. I still think he’d be a valuable hand.

Sepholio 04-16-2023 05:40 PM

ngl I was kinda bummed he lost his spot when Miz went down with the injury last year. Johnny Drip Drip wasnt his best version but he could still put on a fun show in the ring like few can.

Mr. Nerfect 04-16-2023 06:09 PM

He was one of the more surprising releases imo

Rammsteinmad 04-17-2023 09:25 AM

Kidman in WCW was amazing, especially around 1999 when he had a string of matches with guys like Rey Mysterio, Juventud Guerrera and Psychosis.

Big Vic 04-17-2023 04:26 PM

Remember when Kid Kash was WWE cruiserweight champ?

M-A-G 04-17-2023 06:29 PM

I barely remember him being in the company.

What's more pro than fighting the Epic Meal Time guy?

I remember him teaming with Jamie Noble as The Pitbulls.

I don't really follow boxing or know anything about it, but what's the differences in terms of pro and amateur? I saw the clip of this and it looked like a packed arena. Wouldn't for a second have thought that wasn't a "professional" fight.

Ol Dirty Dastard 04-18-2023 07:40 AM

He was fighting a YouTube personality who isn't a licensed pro boxer.

Here's a clip:

So I think I figured it out. I was confusing Epic Meal Time guy (Harley Morenstein) with Marty Matheson who IS a big fat guy chef and has a beard and a similar name. Definitely a size disadvantage for John but judging from that fight Savio posted, I’m not sure it matters. Eek.

Will have to catch some clips.

Mr. Nerfect 04-18-2023 02:55 PM

Terry Gordy is another guy who just might be my favorite wrestler

a ton. The rules are different. Its judged differently (strikes landed vs rounds won.) How pay works is different (Pro is negotiated vs amateur is winners purse.) The number of rounds are different (3 vs 12.) And that well before we get into the quality aspect. A pro fighter is licensed. Anyone off the street can be an amateur boxer. For instance epic meal time guy this is his 2nd amateur bout. A 0-0 pro could have dozens of amateur bouts. Theyre barely the same thing. With the way scoring works and the number of rounds amateur boxing is by design fast and frantic. Pro boxing is calculated and deliberate. Butts in seats are irrelevant as are pay days.

Random post…

I either forgot or didn’t know Lance Cade died in 2010.

Bad News Gertner 04-21-2023 09:40 AM

LOOOOOOVED me some Lance Cade back in the day. Especially his finisher. He always seemed awkward going for the pin after hitting it. Weird memory of it

Mr. Nerfect 04-21-2023 04:24 PM

They really wanted Lance Cade to be a thing for a minute there.

Bad News Gertner 04-21-2023 04:42 PM

Lmao see how awkward he was! Just pin him like a Sky High Cade!

Mr. Nerfect 04-21-2023 04:59 PM

It’s like he’s desperately trying to innovate something and he’s constantly discovering there are reasons it didn’t work that way in the first place.

screech 04-22-2023 12:55 PM

lmao why did he make the extra motion?

ClockShot 04-22-2023 03:21 PM

Ted DiBiase Jr. charged with misappropriating millions in federal COVID money.

Looking at a lot of time behind bars if convicted of everything.

Here's the story.

Mr. Nerfect 04-22-2023 05:38 PM

This appears to be a separate issue from the one he and his father were involved in years back. These DiBiase Boys just can’t help themselves.

Mr. Nerfect 04-22-2023 05:39 PM

Well, helping themselves is kind of the issue, isn’t it?

Mr. Nerfect 04-22-2023 05:40 PM

He waited a long time before hitting the move too. Lance Cade that is.

I still wonder if Sr. Did the laugh after getting the deal done.

Ol Dirty Dastard 04-23-2023 07:39 AM

Sr. really is a piece of fucking work (obviously Junior might be even worse). Dude loves to tell his redemption story, and I believe he's a preacher--and he's been stealing from the poor.

The sad part is none of this is all that surprising. Anyone (but any wrestler specifically) who claims to have found God is questionable in my book.

XL 04-23-2023 09:50 AM

Apart from HBK, of course.

Ol Dirty Dastard 04-23-2023 10:15 AM

Nah I'm willing to guess he's an asshole still lol.

Damian Rey 2.0 04-23-2023 11:09 AM

He’s probably just an asshole who goes to church on Sunday to say he’s sorry then goes back to being an asshole.

People (including myself) who thought wrestling was dead are about to EAT THEIR WORDS!

#1-norm-fan 04-23-2023 11:56 AM

I still believe the Dibiase Posse gimmick could have worked. Guy had the look to pull it off and the fact that his dad was a legendary rich snob heel just made it perfect. Could have been a perfect throwback old school babyface gimmick. I don’t think wrestling was ready to go back to a true “nice guy” face yet though. Still had to have that Austin edge. Unfortunate.

For so many religion is the work that doesn’t require you to bump.

Mr. Nerfect 04-23-2023 02:17 PM

Sr. still shows up on WWE TV occasionally, doesn’t he? Gotta get paid from both ends.

It was just so cornball. I was never a DiBiase fan, but he's definitely better as a heel.
