but knowing the iwc, next week when Rock comes back, it'll shift again and ppl will be like "man rock really owned cena lololol"

Nah. The crowd will be hot which could make it a tad more interesting, but I couldn't get into Rock/Hogan so I doubt this will be any better for me.

If I'm wide awake at 4am still I might give it a shot, but I think it would need some big spots to keep me interested as the technical side and the pace really won't. But the prospect of MITB, HHH v Taker HIAC, Sheamus v Bryan and Punk v Jericho all coming before it actually gives me goosebumps as a card while that main event is doing nothing for me.

Quite pissed off it appears that Big Show will be stinking up Cody's match though. Kind of hoping they put them both in MITB instead as a few Big Show spots rather than a whole match of him is more than tolerable.

Also, I wouldn't compare Cena/Rock to Rock/Hogan. I mean, I see why you would, but Hogan couldn't work for shit in that match. Cena can go and The Rock is in tremendous shape. I think they're going to surprise a lot of people with the actual match quality.

Random thought: Sheamus v. Bryan was supposed to happen at last year's Wrestlemania for the United States title and it was bumped off the broadcast and turned into a dark match battle royal, won by The Great Khali. What are the chances of that happening two years in a row?

Bump the match and have Bryan win and still celebrating in the ring as the opening pyro goes off. Great way to open the show.

Rock hasn't really made enough of a case on why he left. 2002-2003 was a pretty dark time for wrestling.

There was a long string of deaths of older wrestlers. I think Rock might have saw that as a red flag about how long he really wanted to be a wrestler.

Did Cena really want Rock to continue his career and possibly be another sad headline on the wrestling websites? This business is toxic and Rock should be praised (not insulted) for getting the fuck out of it.

Nice of you to take a clearly jokey post and feel the need to be super serious about it. In case you didn't know, that winking, smiling face isn't because he's shutting one eye so he can clearly get a good look at the darkness of your soul, it was in fact meant to convey the playful nature of the following post. Please bear that in mind when people make that gesture to you. I should also apologise for not having a full disclaimer saying that those posts I just found in the first page of your posting history not to be fully representative of every post you have ever made. I'll write to stand-up comedians and ask them to do the same thing when they generalise.

However, as anyone who clicks on that "find more posts by Londener" will find, it is representative of just how tiresome your posts are.

Since you have already devolved to this level, we may as well take it all the way. I'm glad that you felt the need to wind in your scope about what types of negativity should be derided and which should be held up as shining examples of "honest opinions" as it clearly shows that you're either oblivious to what an opinion is or just lacking those all important IQ points. If you feel you need to defend yourself in anyway because I made you look quite foolish with that post, I would apologise but I think you did most of the hard work in doing that yourself.

Now let's look at statistics: between last Wrestlemania and this one coming, I personally have really enjoyed 3 singles matches John Cena has had. Thinking back to Cena matches since he won his first title, my recollection is of matches where his opponent was of a technician variety, someone who can control the match or a faster, high-flyer. That's not to say Cena can't make a match himself, he can. We've all seen it prior to that title win but his current style that got him over with the majority doesn't really allow for that.

Now I I'm also watching classic Raw's right now so I know The Rock and I have to say that in my opinion, The Rock is pretty similar in that respect, but lucky for him he had a lot of guys to work with that could do that. As soon as he feuds with Mr. Ass for instance, it goes downhill for me. Add these factors together and you have a match that statistically is not going to be for me.

So with that in mind and after a year long build that has also left me disinterested, why is yours an "honest opinion" and my statistical opinion not? Or is it another post based in mediocrity, hoping to sail by with an off the cuff "oh, his opinion differs from mine, he's just trying to be cool as what I think is the only thing that matters!"?

Please don't think you've made me mad or anything to that effect just because I dared to write a few paragraphs. I'm just very tired of posts like this and ones like "I BET THE IWC CHANGES IT'S MIND TOMORROW!!!111!" when all you have to do is the tiniest bit of research to see that the IWC is not a groupthink but it's different opinions being vocal at different times.

Anyway, my negative opinions have come from after something has happened not before. I wouldn't want to miss rock/cena just based on a few 'past statistics'. I have confidence in something big being planned here or it would be a waste of time. Of course if it turns to shit then that will be that. But hey, its wrestlemania, be abit optimistic.

His pandering only makes the fact that he comes off as an asshole most of the time worse. He's in a "nice guy" mindset while he's doing dickish things. Makes it come off less as part of his character and more just "Does he really think he's not an arrogant douche right now?"

Honestly, I could care less if Rock is a conceited prick or not. But when he brings it to a wrestling ring, then I gotta judge it as a character. And as a character, Cena is the good guy fighting for what's right and Rock is an ass.

Should have happened last year, since Mania was @ Atlanta and Simmons is from Warner Robins, GA, within about 2 hours of his hometown, but better late than never right? :)

He played football at Florida St. and was pretty a pretty big deal while there so him going in this year in Florida still works.

And of course The U and Florida St. are allies.
