That along with Lesnar vs Reigns have been other potential rumored matches.

Everything probably depends on whatever last minute decision the WWE has for Rollins vs Lesnar at Battleground.

Got a challenge for anyone who thinks they're up to it: Find and embed the Eric Bischoff vs. Trish Stratus match from 4/28/03 RAW which also includes Linda showing up and introducing Austin as Co-GM.

You all know the reward: A 1 green dot bounty will be paid upon delivery.

Lesnar-Owens would be great imo. Give Owens another big win against Cena at Battleground, then have him go after the biggest guy to prove that he is the best.

Is that the figure that is absolutely tiny?

I had a bunch of those old tiny figures when I was a kid. They came with a small ring and cage.

If I remember correctly, I had Faarooq, The Rock, Mankind, Chainsaw Charlie, The New Age Outlaws, The Headbangers, Steve Austin, Triple H, Goldust, Kane and I'm sure I had Ahmed Johnson too.

The only problem with the set was the figures.

The more you played with them, the looser their limbs got until eventually, they fell off.

I remember my Road Dogg losing a leg and Stone Cold being reduced to just a torso with a head.

Yeah, they had the Ahmed from the same set too. I remember that set with the Outlaws and Cactus/Chainsaw, too, knowing nothing of wrestling history and Terry Funk and thinking "Chainsaw Charlie" was the worst name ever.

Wikipedia tells me around that time Jericho was feuding with Malenko and Goldberg, Saturn was rising up against Raven to free the flock, Scott Hall was doing an alcoholic gimmick, Ultimate Warrior made his WCW debut and Jay Leno was main eventing a PPV.

Big Vic 06-22-2015 03:55 PM

Ahh ok must be the Leno thing getting people to watch, I thought I remembered hearing that the only 2 times Nitro beat Raw after Mania 14 was Goldbergs title win and when they Aired the DDP/Goldberg match from the PPV that got cut out the night prior.

According to PWInsider.com, wrestling legend “The Nature Boy” Buddy Landel passed away earlier today at the age of 53.

The report notes Landel was in a car accident this weekend, returned home and was found unresponsive today.

Landel worked with WCW, Mid-Atlantic Wrestling, Smoky Mountain and other promotions. He was hired by WWE in 1995 but suffered a bad knee injury just days after being hired.

Not sure about this. Seems similar to the Punk/Ryback scenario; someone has to lose and neither man can afford it.

Unless they use Owens to write Lesnar off again...

Besides Gunner, Sam Shaw has also recently left TNA and a little over a week from now Austin Aires likely is leaving as well.

Was hinted last week by the dirtsheets that most of TNA's lockeroom likely knows the company is going under if they can't find a tv deal by the time Destination America drops them. Barely have any money left even with all the budget cuts and savings done last year.

Mr. Nerfect 06-22-2015 07:44 PM

I was thinking today that if they want to turn Seth Rollins face for a match against Triple H, they shouldn't rush that shit. You need to have Rollins prove enough that people buy him as a face. He should either scrape out a win against Brock Lesnar at Battleground (either by hook or by crook), or lose in honorable fashion. SummerSlam is then a Triple Treat between Lesnar, Rollins & Reigns. A proper one this time.

Rollins would actually win that match, possibly surprisingly everyone. Sheamus then cashes in Money in the Bank and walks out of SummerSlam WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Night of Champions is the rematch between the two, and again, you could go with either guy winning. Rollins winning the title might actually make sense if they want to establish him as a guy who can get the job done. Hell in a Cell is a rematch between the two, and there Triple H officially sides with Sheamus, screwing Rollins out of the title.

Triple H vs. Rollins could then happen at either Survivor Series or at a December live special (whether that be TLC or my dream return of Starrcade).

Mr. Nerfect 06-22-2015 07:45 PM

It's probably best TNA just folds and that ROH picks up some players that could really help them; or that the WWE or GFW gets their hands on them.

Quote:

One person who’s been notably absent on WWE television over the last several months has been former Money in the Bank winner and World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger. Apparently Swagger’s morale has been getting worse during his time off, and it’s getting so bad that he’s considering leaving WWE very soon if things don’t turn around for him.

Swagger hasn’t been involved in anything significant since his feud with Rusev ended last year. Every now and then WWE will bring Swagger back for a random one-on-one match with the “Bulgarian Brute” which Swagger will, of course, lose.

When WWE signed Swagger to one of their developmental territories back in 2006, their plan was to eventually have him be the new Kurt Angle. At that time, Angle had just left WWE and joined TNA. WWE felt a need to replace him, and Swagger was their man. Even though he had the amateur wrestling credentials to do so, he didn’t have the in-ring ability or personality that Angle had, which, unfortunately, made WWE hesitant to keep him in the main event scene after he won his first World Title in 2010 ...

It’s unlikely that Swagger will go to TNA given the current state of the company, and it’s extremely unlikely that he’ll end up going to Ring of Honor. A career in MMA may be the best possible move for Swagger.

There’s a chance that WWE will be able to convince Swagger to stay, but if Swagger is too hard-headed about it, it’s very likely that, because he’s not a top guy, WWE will just let him go.

What hooked me about him was that I was watching a match of his on NXT and I found myself disassociated with being in the moment, all of a sudden I started watching him and he made me believe again. I watched real close, and there were no holes in his boat – his punches, his kicks, everything he did looked like it was killing the guy, which it probably was. He caught me with my guard down and he made me a believer again, he hooked me. He's got that look, man; that demeanor and that swagger."

It's a shame what is (not) happening with Swagger, because he's really good in the ring and has actually gotten pretty over with his weird and slightly random face push. He's got some size, and he can be entertaining in a goofy sort of way. I'd love to see him go on a bit of a tear and get focused on a little more.

Mr. Nerfect 06-23-2015 10:57 PM

Also, Swagger in ROH would be a fucking brute. They should definitely go after him if he leaves, which I don't think he will. New Japan Swagger could be great too.

So TNA.

Does TNA not even have their guys under exclusive contracts anymore?

Lock Jaw 06-23-2015 11:04 PM

Real shame at the demise of TNA... depressing... There was a time when I really enjoyed their product....

Heisenberg 06-23-2015 11:17 PM

how much cocaine do you think Dean Ambrose uses??

Dark One 06-23-2015 11:50 PM

Less than owenbrown.

Heisenberg 06-23-2015 11:51 PM

he's on that moonshine fo sho

Dark One 06-23-2015 11:54 PM

I don't know if I believe that there's a cocaine problem in WWE. I feel like if there was, promos would be 100x better and more intense.

Maybe Ryback has been high the whole time since the stereotype of weed smokers is them suddenly eating and craving food.

He has been constantly telling everyone to feed him more.

Dark One 06-24-2015 12:18 AM

I don't think somebody stoned would be that intense.

He might have the same style of tights, but he DEFINITELY doesn't talk all laid-back like nothing's ever wrong like RVD did.

I'm sure the Anvil was on blow. Also, he did DeMott's gimmick better.

Volare 06-24-2015 06:55 AM

I will be watching this one for sure.

TNA is in such sad shape. And the thing is, it's not even getting sympathy for it. No one is tuning in for its dying days. I just hope that ROH manages to snap up the talent in TNA that would fit their product. The American Wolves, Austin Aries, Kurt Angle, Low Ki, Homicide, Kurt Angle and even Bobby Lashley in ROH would be really bad-ass. Maybe Destination America can follow Jim Cornette's suggestion and pour six months worth of resources into ROH and see how much traction it can gain?

Mr. Nerfect 06-24-2015 07:09 AM

Beer Money and EC3 can go to GFW.

drave 06-24-2015 07:24 AM

The majority of top names will go to GFW for sure. It is the new TNA of old.

Mr. Nerfect 06-24-2015 07:42 AM

I kind of wish that the WWE would just buy TNA and bring in some of their talents for a bit of an invasion angle. Some might have a few burnt bridges with the WWE, but many of them could still be stars. Gail Kim, for example, did that roll-out-of-the-ring thing in that Battle Royal, but I think Triple H could understand how frustrated she was with her direction. The idea of her turning up in NXT and immediately going after Sasha Banks is giving me a bit of a boner (not for sexual reasons).

Mr. Nerfect 06-24-2015 07:43 AM

Kenneth Cameron fucked up, but he's Charlotte's husband. He's stayed out of trouble since. He could be a shot in the arm The Ascension needs, or could debut alongside Magnus as a tough-as-nails British tag team. Seeing them beat-up Enzo and Cass could be a bit of fun.

Mr. Nerfect 06-24-2015 07:43 AM

Tyler Breeze vs. Kenny King. Now there is a feud for Breeze.

Mr. Nerfect 06-24-2015 07:44 AM

These guys wouldn't necessarily need to make it to the main roster (although most of them could). They could pad out NXT and help them with their tours and create a deeper roster for that brand.

Mr. Nerfect 06-24-2015 08:22 AM

I was thinking the other day: Trevor Murdoch could have really been a prototype of Bray Wyatt if they had given him a more creepy redneck edge once he and Lance Cade split.

Rammsteinmad 06-24-2015 08:58 AM

Wow. It is kinda sad to see TNA in such a state. Like, especially when you see it all on-camera and everyone's acting like TNA is still THE place to be.

Heisenberg 06-24-2015 09:02 AM

TNA died when Shark Boy went back to the sea

Hanso Amore 06-24-2015 09:06 AM

I gotta imagine once TNA is gone the wwe will bring back ec3 for a nxt run with a chance to go to the main roster

Innovator 06-24-2015 09:24 AM

Honestly EC3 is the only guy I see WWE looking at at this point

Big Vic 06-24-2015 10:00 AM

Did TNA ever win its law suit against Shark Boy and Lava Girl?

Cool King 06-24-2015 10:15 AM

It was all settled for an "undisclosed amount" in 2007.
