On the last level of DmC. Really enjoying the reboot because I've never been a slasher snob and don't care or notice the 30fps engine. Storyline is solid.

Fuck sake Capcom.

Fignuts 01-31-2013 06:30 PM

Hard to get pumped for new battlefield after the awesomeness of planet side 2.

Kalyx triaD 01-31-2013 06:33 PM

I'm not 100% for Battlefield 4 coming out so soon when they could make it for next-gen. Reeks of annualization.

Emperor Smeat 01-31-2013 06:58 PM

A new game in the main series does tend to arrive once every 2 years so 2013 makes sense for Battlefield 4 and all the real work was already done once DICE finished up the Frostbite 2 engine.

If Battlefield gets the annual treatment now that Medal of Honor is done and nothing else replaces it, all EA would do is just have 2 studios in charge similar to what Activision does with CoD. They've already used other studios to work on the non-DICE Battlefield games before.

Kalyx triaD 01-31-2013 07:15 PM

They were bad, though.

drave 01-31-2013 07:37 PM

Sony's really gonna have to step up their game this time around. I have not been impressed by the PS3 at all since release. A few good games, and free online play, but nothing else has been standout to me. A browser that makes me miss a normal computer in seconds. Bluray, I'm perfectly happy with DVD's especially now that HD's big.

And of course: HAX

FUCK SAKE CAPCOM

alvarado52 02-01-2013 07:15 PM

Onimusha was great.

DaveBrawl 02-01-2013 07:42 PM

A new Need for Speed every year? Don't they remember why it almost died last time?

ClockShot 02-01-2013 08:09 PM

Wow, Capcom has really gone from being one of the premier publishers/developers in our lifetime to just a joke of a video game outfit. If I was a bigtime shareholder, I'd be calling for some heads.

And yeah, Onimusha was a great series. 1 & 2 were awesome. 3, not so much. Didn't like Dawn of Dreams.

Really abusing the word IP aside, I don't think they're doing this right.

GIDDY.

EDIT: Wait, shit. Going head to head with GTAV can't be good.

If 4 is like 3, I kinda hope GTAV slaughters it.

I'm not sure I know how I feel about this. I don't know if PSASBR was any good, but if the rumour is true, then Sony's reason was something akin to "what? This half-baked idea of ours didn't do well? Release the hounds...."

And that's kinda bullshit.

Mooияakeя™ 02-05-2013 01:32 PM

Cyberpunk 2077 really needs to go looking into the music like Lazerhawk, Powerglove and the likes. Seriously.

Think its been mixed in terms of reception although more favorable with the reviews.

In terms of money, Sony said previously they were happy since it met their sales goal and made money. Although most of the funding was from SuperBot themselves and not Sony.

Come on Crytek, I love your games, but you need to do more than just FPS games :(

Drakul 02-05-2013 05:39 PM

FPS games bring in the money. Until that changes, we'll have no shortage of FPS games. Probably all near identicle to the last.

Remember that when the market crashes.

Kane Knight 02-05-2013 10:07 PM

I'm mostly joking on that one, but still.

Kalyx triaD 02-05-2013 10:12 PM

I think the bigger problem is AAA game design and marketing in general.

While it may be a larger problem, shooter empahsis still exists as a sizable one, and now we're seeing "shooter fatigue."

Extreme Angle 02-06-2013 04:14 AM

An industry crash is imminent I think.
