I was 100% certain there was no way he was winning. Now I’m not so certain. Drew missed out on his true crowning moment when he beat Lesnar at Mania as there was no crowd. I could see HHH wanting to give Drew that moment in the UK.

Didn’t he drop the title like 2 months later anyway? It’s probably for the best that that “crowning moment” is forgettable in hindsight.

Triple H has all the power to try to properly build up a true star the way he wants before using the credibility Reigns has built to crown them. If he just uses it for another go with Drew, those Vince 2.0 vibes are gonna hit quick.

First run he dropped it after 7 months, regained it less than a month later and held it another 3 months.

I still don’t think he wins but I’m less certain now. Probably some screwy finish with Tyson Fury involved somehow.

No one cares about Drew. They should stop trying to make Drew happen.

Drew is a fine choice. There are plenty of things you can do with it. He’s far from the most dynamic pro-wrestler of all-time, but he’s really, really good. If you want people to care about him you better have some sort of plan of what to do with him whether he wins or loses.

I think the call is to have Drew win, but have it be screwy. Protect Reigns (yeah, he’s the heel, but he’s also a star). It will feel more exciting. Karrion Kross tries to get involved, knocks out referee. Riddle cancels out Kross (he wants Drew to win), Shane McMahon runs down in a referee’s shirt and helps Drew get the quick pin.

At Extreme Rules you can run Drew vs. Kross vs. Riddle and Reigns vs. Shane. Something totally different.

I could have swore he dropped it quicker to Orton. Maybe I’m thinking of someone else who had a big title win and then instantly got their momentum killed.

As far as the match, it’s one of those “If any result is bad then just don’t book the match” situations. He absolutely shouldn’t be the one to beat Reigns but how do you not end this big show on a shit note if Drew doesn’t win? A simple post-match beat down isn’t gonna cut it.

Oh man. Just thought of a horrible scenario where they try to execute a “win/win”. Drew wins, gets the huge extended celebration, crowd goes nuts, they go home happy...

And then the decision is reversed on Raw after it’s discovered Roman’s shoulder was up so his reign remains uninterrupted. lol

Watching H’s interview with Helwani and he confirmed Brock walked out after Vince retired. Hmm… I guess Alavarez was right. How about that.

So funny how careful Hunter is about what he says about Vince. As he should be—but still pretty hilarious.
