As a conversation starter, apparently.

Fignuts 01-15-2013 11:49 PM

The conversation that starts with you trying to get your date to stop running from your apartment?

Sepholio 01-16-2013 12:36 AM

I just want to know who came up with the idea for the statue in the first place.

And then I want to know how the hell it got signed off on to go into production.

Fignuts 01-16-2013 12:44 AM

So I'm not huge into Naruto, but I'm considering getting Nija Storm 3 this spring just because god damn these games look gorgeous.

I think the outrage about the torso statue is purely because it's shaped like the torso of an attractive woman. Slim and model like.
If it were shaped like the torso of an overweight woman, it would likely be seen as a really dark, grotesque joke. If it were the torso of a male of any build, I don't think anyone would care at all.

Good point.

ClockShot 01-16-2013 05:46 PM

Shouldn't the CDC be focusing on putting together some flu vaccines to combat this death flu going around?

This sounds like a job for the *insert psycological foundation/association/group name here*

Kalyx triaD 01-16-2013 06:13 PM

It's a redundant waste of money on research that was already done. A lot.

they're still banned from doing research into guns, however.

Don't generalize, research is good overall. It's just this pointless gesture.

I don't mind the CDC looking into this so much as the double standard we have running.

The CDC will be far less biased than most of the folks who do research, whi tend to do so with an ax to grind and publish sensationalist links (though the evidence they present doesn't demonstrate the causal links they tend to claim).

Didn't think it was general in a specific thread? :|

Perhaps a re-word is in order to better illustrate things.....

Money could be spent in a better fashion researching actual important data. :y:

So what exactly is the problem with having a reliable body look into the potential effects in a way that really hasn't been done before?

Seems like gamers have the same problem the anti-gamers do: they work backwards from the answer they want and try and justify it.

Why not let a serious organisation do a most likely accurate investigation and possibly clear the air on an issue that has already led to numerous lawsuits, taxpayer expenses, and wasted hours in legislative bodies from town to federal level?

And while we're at it, why not do the same for firearms?

None of those are reputable I assume..... the last one has quite a few cross references as well.

It's been done, redone and redone on the redo. And Lieberman has been at it for decades. Anyhoo, keep the brain AIDS in the discussion forum, where they belong.

It's a Tomb Raider game. They'd just assume that anyways.

In part because it's the only state where it could be used, as it's being passed in Missouri.
