Seemed like they were legit pissed about that. Sonny onoo being part jew, apparently.

Sonny Onoo does not speak Japanese lol. That mask is so cool. The angle was a complete bomb and it's still cool as hell.

No reason he couldn't have, he was already capable of a moonsault, ssp is basically just flipping the other way.

Crippla 06-27-2022 08:50 PM

Vader is the one big guy I wouldn't be worried about attempting something like that.

Vader was very iffy on a lot of standard moves let alone turnbuckle moves, i've seen him german suplexing people and them landing on the top of their head, sometimes he'd chokeslam people and they would end up landing hard on the back of their head etc. That guy he hurt badly took a bad chokeslam landing first then the hard powerbomb landing high on his shoulders.

Destor 06-27-2022 09:46 PM

yeah thats what made him great

Destor 06-27-2022 09:57 PM

that first clip vader had to fuck that kid up.

first the kid doesnt bump off the vader attack. vader hits the kid. he gives it away but honestly doesnt sell it half as much as it actually hurt. vader choke slams the kid on his head. why? the kid is no selling him. he's the world heavy weight champion and this bum aint workin with him. its ignorance on the kids part but that cant matter. so the kid gets up from this outragoues choke slam in seconds. fuck. ok i guess. vader has to keep going. not like he can not keep working. so he bombs the kid. as hard as he can.

when youre in this position internally youre praying the idiot hears what your actions are saying. he should know what each of us is getting paid to do. this idiot didnt. not on vader. and vader isnt taking liberties either.

Destor 06-27-2022 10:04 PM

and the 2nd video is is 80% puro. home of the "high and tight" aka the shoulder bump. its deliberate and desirable for both parties.

Yes Vader was stiff and roughed people up a bit but he's not the only one who had that kind of old school mentality. I can't recall many instances at all where he unintentionally had a major botch that ended in a serious or career ending injury.

Destor 06-27-2022 11:39 PM

I think it looks great and I didn't even know what Puroresu wrestling was until I started posting here and I got put on to the awesomeness of Japanese wrestling. I also notice the non Japan wrestlers in that video are guys llke Mick Foley and Rick Steiner who also have wrestled in Japan so many times and are accustomed to that style. I don't think that video illustrates the same point as the first video at all.

But he is far from the only one to do that lol I was actually just watching a video the other day of several wrestlers obliterating jobbers...I think it might have even been posted by Gertner or someone else on here

Destor 06-28-2022 12:06 AM

job guys used to get paid really well. better than a lot of the boys. they could only make money for a short ammount of time and you needed to pay a guy pretty well to get utterly obliterated. the jobbers knew the score.

you were going to be beaten and badly. and the talent knew they needed to fuck em up pretty good too. the other guys were going to annihilate them. the same marks are mentally going to compare how you handle random job guy no.2 to how the other named talent did. they think this is real after all. if you want to get over youve gotta kill the guy. that the deal. its not like it was a con on some poor unsuspecting halfwit, those were in the stands...well most of the time anyways.

not like we could've predicted in the future guys unfit to lace the job guy's boots would be the only ones still watching.

Fignuts 06-28-2022 02:35 AM

Vader treated them with tender loving care compared to Ronnie Garvin

Yeah that's what I mean, you have to admit everything has gotten a lot "softer" nowadays with this generation in the business. I feel like you're right about that last part and there's definitely a lot of people who wouldn't be able to cut it or handle breaking into the business during that time.

Crippla 06-28-2022 09:37 AM

I also should have mentioned Rick Steiner's reputation for fucking up not only job guys but even wrestlers who could be on the upper card as well although I really didn't need to because everyone is well aware of it.
