Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that WWE officials recently gave their approval for several of their male talents to get a haircut. In regards to the RAW brand, AJ Styles, Bobby Lashley, Cody Rhodes, Damien Priest, Dolph Ziggler, Edge, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Miz, Randy Orton, Riddle, and Seth Rollins were given permission to get new haircuts. In regards to the SmackDown brand, Drew McIntyre, Happy Corbin, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Kofi Kingston, Madcap Moss, Paul Heyman, Ricochet, Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, Sheamus, and Xavier Woods were all given permission.
Some of those names have got to be a rib, right?

Ric Flair is trying to wrestle again, which is a horrible idea for a variety of reasons.

But anyway, there are rumors making the rounds that someone will be booking a Ric Flair & FTR vs. Rock n Roll Express and Kerry Morton match as part of the Express' retirement tour.

Lock Jaw 05-16-2022 09:23 AM

That's part of the reason why I think MJF won't go to WWE... he wants to live the gimmick, and I can't see WWE being happy with letting him be a genuine jerk to people at public appearances, swearing at little girls, etc....

Considering how layered and insincere MJF's character is, he might brush it off as him pretending to be an idea WWE superstar or something. Being so over the top that it becomes obvious.

Bad News Gertner 05-16-2022 10:07 AM

Steve Blackman started surprisingly early.

If he could have been around just a few years later as internet culture really took over, he would have gotten over as a meme.

Eh, it could be a badge of honor. Or he could just dial it back and insult the kids’ teachers, parents, local sports teams, etc. Him being in character all the time has helped get him over as a package in AEW and that’s been his audition. When he gets to the WWE he wouldn’t necessarily be looking to keep it going as much as he is now. Or maybe they want him to and that’s part of the appeal?

Yeah he was in Stampede in the very late 80s

Mr. Nerfect 05-16-2022 01:04 PM

I was just thinking about the talent roster available to Freddie Prinze, Jr. re: his planned wrestling company. A name that crossed my mind was Rene Dupree, for whatever reason. The dude is only 38 years old.

Freddie’s ideas seem too “sports entertainment” for me. I think his heart’s in the right place, but so is Tony Khan’s. I do hope something shakes out of this though.

Steve Blackman looks like he could still kick the shit out of everyone.

Mr. Nerfect 05-16-2022 01:10 PM

For a second I thought he looked like Shane McMahon. Then I remembered SummerSlam ‘00 and Blackman being hot for a minute.

I have two tests one in March 17th and March 25th. As I have posted, I have had mri and others procedure. I have spent close to $5721 on these the next two comes close to $3400. I would be more than glad to sign, do a cameo video and much more. I receive NO help from WWE who, based on all the chairshots, blows caused this.
Maybe I am completely misremembering, but exactly when did Virgil work for WWE when chairshots to the head were prevalent? Until the attitude era, WWE did not often use chairs, and certainly not unprotected head shots.

WWE banned chairshots to the head in around 2010, and the last one does was during Mania 27 with HHH/Undertaker, and they were fined for doing so.

Virgil was not working in WWE during the timeframe where WWE did utilize unprotected chair shots.

The situation Virgil is in sucks, but this is exactly why wrestlers who should receive help do not, because of the ones who wrongfully try to lay the blame on WWE ruin it.

A lot can change in 18 months, but Killer Kross and Scarlett are basically confirmed to be a part of this.

I think of wrestlers who might want a SAG membership and John Morrison and Bray Wyatt spring to mind. That gives them two more upper-card guys. Maybe you could bring in JoJo, Erick Rowan and Bo Dallas as part of a package with Bray? If you could lock The Briscoes in, that might give you leverage to sign FTR when their deals are up for next year.

Sign Tessa Blanchard and pray that she’s good. Morrison would give you access to Taya Valkyrie. Melina could come in as Morrison’s crazy ex. You could maybe make a sneaky play for someone like Trish Stratus to be a non-wrestling figurehead for a bit before getting back in the ring. Scour the world for not only the best indy talent, but also try and lock up Gerry Brisco and/or Jim Ross to scout college athletes for you to put into developmental (something AEW should have done).

With the combination of some stars, Freddie’s connections you might be able to land something on the CW Network. Maybe. That’s optimistic. But you should be making those strategic moves now.

Crippla 05-16-2022 04:34 PM

Lol come on Virgil is an honest, upstanding guy! it's not like Virgil is the kind of shady wrestler who would do something like book Ted Dibiase with indy promotions without him knowing it to make more money without giving a fuck that it makes Ted look bad for "no showing"

Crippla 05-16-2022 04:36 PM

Seriously I do feel bad for him though. Dementia, colon cancer, etc. Dude just can't catch a break

XL 05-16-2022 04:42 PM

I was really confused for a few minutes there thinking Virgil was linking to chairshots to colon cancer. Didn’t realise he also had had 2 strokes and dementia.

Ol Dirty Dastard 05-16-2022 04:56 PM

given that the chairshots he took were closer to his ass than his head, he'd have a better chance of linking them to his colon cancer than his strokes or dementia.
