Cena got GOT on Raw!!!

Tom Guycott 06-01-2011 05:00 AM

I just saw one of those 2 minute infomercials about "Furniture Fix". I wasn't all that close to the TV, but it looked like they got Brodus Clay and Vis to walk into the mock-up living room to sit on the gimmicked sofa to demonstrate how the product can support 1000 lbs.

Whoever thought "Morrison falling on his neck" was a good idea for a poster should be fired.

Also, WWE Money in the Bank is brought to you by Skittles.

I have to laugh at American adverts sometimes.

Like that one, it's so cheesy and some of the faces the actors were pulling when sitting on the "sagging" furniture were hilarious.

In no way would a normal person make those faces when sitting on sagging furniture.

XL 06-01-2011 11:45 AM

I think we should all agree not to read SmackDown spoilers for one week, then all tune into the show and watch it as if it were live. Seems that even here the's very little love for SmackDown and I believe some of that is the "not live" argument. However, I think if it were watched in the same way Raw is people might enjoy it more. I stopped reading the show spoilers and find SmackDown to be the best show of the week generally.

Who's with me?

No one?

FINE!!!

Flash Funk 06-01-2011 12:18 PM

I with you XL..I havent read spoilers in months and Smackdown! has been my favorite show.

Volare 06-01-2011 12:31 PM

I read spoilers, but then I get baked for Smackdown and forget all of em. Turns into a good show week after week, gives me something to look forward to on Fridays. (Besides Payday)

Lock Jaw 06-01-2011 01:06 PM

I usually try not to read the spoilers... but then somehow in the course of the week I end up bored enough to click on them.

Innovator 06-01-2011 01:21 PM

I read spoilers and Smackdown is my favorite show.

Xero 06-01-2011 02:40 PM

I dont go out of my way to read spoilers unless i hear something happened. Sometimes i do somethimes i dont. Im way behind on sd anyway. Not that i dont want to watch it just never get in the mood for sd. So spoilers are kind of moot anyway since im usually a month behind on sd anyway.

As we have been reporting over the past few days, All Japan Pro Wrestling star, Nobukazu Hirai, who competed in AJPW as Super Hate was admitted to hospital following his May 29th, 2011 match against KENSO in Hyogo, Japan and was reported over the past few days to have suffered a brain hemorrage, which changed to a stroke and has since changed to an acute hematoma, however there now seems to be new reports that may add fuel to the fire as to what happened on the night.

According to a report from Tokyo Sports, All Japan Pro Wrestling star, TARU, has been suspended indefinetely. The report notes that TARU was involved in the attacking of Nobukazu Hirai before Hirai’s match on May 29th, however it is unknown at this time if TARU’s attack led to what has actually happened to Hirai.

The report also notes that Joe Doering and René Duprée were expelled from the dressing room, with others told to keep away from where the attack took place. There seemed to be others in the room, thought to be KONO and MAZADA, but there is no proof on who "all" were really involved. The report notes that TARU was said to have uttered “I’ll beat him”, which is why he is suspended indefinitely. TARU apparently confessed to the situation and was dealt with accordingly.

Meanwhile, Super Hate has not regained consciousness, however he is responding to certain treatment, such as being able to breath on his own without the usage of a ventilator.

All Japan Pro Wrestling, who have yet to release full details regarding the condition of Super Hate, sent out an apology through Tokyo Sports and said that everything that happened on the night is still under strong investigation.

Look ma, I got a star

Droford 06-01-2011 08:37 PM

Like him or hate him, LeBron James is the talk of the NBA right now. The Miami Heat star is three wins away from his first championship and has everyone who loves basketball yapping about him. Jim Ross a former wrestling announcer and WWE executive who’s now working behind the scenes for RAW, believes that King James has copied the wrestling handbook by changing his personality from a hero to villain. MEDIA BISTRO found quotes taken from the book titled “The Whore of Akron,” that has Ross commenting on James professional transformation from his Cleveland days.
“After a long, productive tenure as a fan favorite, he changed the story line and the way he did it, by going on ESPN, with Jim Gray as his straight man, was a classic wrestling promotion,” Ross said. “A hero doesn’t brag on his own abilities. It was a self-centered point of view that told his fans, ‘I’ve changed my philosophy.’ ”

LeBron vs the Miz..BOOK IT

At this week's Smackdown taping in Des Moines, IA, the advertised main event, which was to be a dark match, was listed as Christian vs. Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship. Once Smackdown was off the air, instead of the advertised match, fans were surprised to see Mark Henry make an entrance to the ring. As to who his opponnent was to be, nobody knew, as nobody ever came out.

Mark Henry stood in the ring for nearly 5 minutes before finally trying to pass the time by cutting an impromptu promo in front of fans at Wells Fargo Arena. However, each time he would try to begin talking, the microphones would die out. So instead, he decided to taunt several fans, including Joey Anderson, who wrestles for the independent promotion "Adrenaline Pro Wrestling." After 15 minutes had passed since Smackdown had gone "off-air," Tony Chimel made an announcement stating that while fans waited for Mark Henry's opponnent, WWE wanted to thank the fans for attending.

Finally, Mark Henry's music started back up, and fans thought they were finally moments away from a hopefully decent dark match. After a couple of minutes, Mark Henry's music stops, and Hornswoggle's hits. However, we got no Hornswoggle. A couple of minutes later, Hornswoggle's music stops, and Great Khali's old music hits, yet again, no Khali. Finally, Khali's music stops, and Mr. McMahon's music hits. Again, no show from the Chairman. Finally, Mark Henry had gotten tired of waiting for an opponnent, and walked backstage, ending a nearly 20 minute wait for a dark match opponnent. Needless to say, the fans were not happy with the outcome of WWE's promise of a dark match.
Quote:

The advertised Dark Match was supposed to be Christian vs Orton for the belt, but after Orton laid on the mat for 5 minutes and finally got up, Mark Henry immediately hit the ring.* The referee was Armstrong.*

After 5 minutes, Henry started getting harassed by members of the crowd, being called a "fa**ot" repeatedly, a "you can't wrestle" chant broke out, and one very vocal (and VERY DRUNK) guy yelled "Don't make me come in there and beat the black off of you".*

Henry started getting visibly pissed, and got a mic.* Well, the mic died before he could say anything.* Then Henry got*a second mic, and before he could finish saying "you better hope this mic works" that mic died.* Finally a third mic was given to Henry and that one, too, was broken.* He continued arguing with the section of the crowd that would have been behind the announcer's desk while Armstrong started laughing hysterically.*

After 15 minutes of waiting for Henry's opponent, some one yelled "you should wrestle him!" to the ref, and he started flexing his muscles (jokingly) and trying to relax both Henry and the crowd.* Chimel made an announcement that "while we're waiting for Mark Henry's opponent" he would like to thank the crowd and they'd be back soon blah blah blah.*

After 25 minutes Henry started walking around the ring, giving hi fives and talking to some people then posed at the top of the ramp and left.* The crowd was pretty pissed half of them waited a half hour for a match that didn't happen.

I would definitely pay to see a gig of Warrior cutting promos backed by guitars as long as there was a bar

Wrestling superstar Chyna tells TMZ ... she has been told point blank that if her new XXX porn tape is actually released, she will never be allowed to work for TNA Wrestling ever again.

http://ll-media.tmz.com/2011/06/02/0...ng-logo-ex.jpg

It's a big deal for Chyna -- because she had recently been in talks with the wrestling organization about working out a long term deal ... and before the XXX tape came into the picture, things were looking optimistic.

But now, with the hardcore tape set to be released later this month, Chyna tells us she got a call from TNA honchos warning her that if she lets the tape hit shelves ... the deal is off for good.

Chyna tells us, "The whole thing has been constant drama ... it's all good in the end ... [TNA Wrestling] is missing the boat."

She adds, "FREEDOOOM!"

So far, no word from TNA.

You're right, should be much higher.
