I was not aware of Meriden Championship Wrestling back in 2000, I remember following VBW back then, pre YouTube days, but this brings back good memories of vintage wrestling.

noam dar and sha samuels are a delight on nxtuk. the supernova sessions is usually a very effective and to the point interview segment.

pretty excited for this isla dawn/meiko satomura title match. meiko is obviously great, but isla dawn has come a long way since nxtuk kicked off. this feud with meiko has really brought it out of dawn.

will be interesting to see how this influx of NA talent (von wagner, damon kemp, ivy nile, lash legend, i think that's it?) goes in nxtuk.

solid defense by meiko. even with this match being a "world of darkness" gimmick match at dawn's request, it didn't feel gimmicky. this feud actually had time to breathe, from isla as just a "plucky" challenger on her first attempt, turning heel by her second, and going full gimmick on the third. meiko just remained the badass "final boss" that she is.

Isla Dawn would get it

there's a gif i saw a while back from a match between her and ivelisse and it was nothing but wonderful butts.

The match Tricky Rick MacDonald and Billy The Body Youngblood had with their opponents on Tagteam seemed to incorporate some audience dancing.

I’m going to go back and watch a bunch of Elix Skipper, I think. The guy was hot shit for a couple of years there and then just kind of…disappeared.

I just read that his 22 yr old son was killed by a gunman in his own house in 2009. Something like that might get a guy’s head out of wrestling. He’s way older than I thought he would be too (he’s 55 this year).

He was actually trained by the Power Plant too. He’d have to be the best actual wrestler they trained, right?

He manages several restaurants now. Got out on his own terms and ended up pretty successful.

Good for him. Love hearing stories about wrestlers doing well for themselves outside wrestling.

If Sha Samuels ever made it over to NXT or main roster they would play on his Iranian heritage and have him job to Mansoor in Saudi.

Interested the most with NXT UK to see how this Moustache Mountain angle plays out. Trent using heel tactics to win and his off the cuff comments in interviews which unsettles Bate is fun to watch, especially as it’s a slow build up. Either they end up feuding or Bate goes full heel with Trent.

Would be fun to see them come over to the main roster with the Sheamus stable.

I like Tyler Bate a bit. Never been sold on Trent Seven.

I’ve always liked the “one tag team partner is a heel but the face sees the good in them” direction though.

Could potentially be the way they are going with it and we see Bate move over to NXT, he is still very young. I agree with you though, I do like dynamics of the tag team at the moment though.

There’s a ready made stable in British Strong Style but I don’t see them putting all three together on the main roster or if they did pushing them much at all. (Even though I’d love too see it).

Bate is lacking size. He’s very good and has a good look despite that. There are definitely people he can work with, and given how good a face he is, Vince might see something endearing about him.

I’m a big fan of Bate, a bit less of a fan of Moustache Mountain, but only a bit less. 0 interest in either of them in NXT 2.0, feels like the ship has sailed for a lengthy run there when the multi-colour paint job was done. They’ve a lower ceiling on the main roster and probably best off as a tag.

From what I can make out, it doesn’t sound like a health thing, but a “new phase of my career” type thing. Less dates, movie roles, etc.

Could be a cute way of making him a babyface too.

Surely they don’t want to make him a babyface before giving someone the rub of beating him for the title(s).
