Plus, if you think about it, it’s hard to think of an actually good O’Haire or Jindrak match. They had that athleticism and they make for fun gifs now, but they both were pretty much just there on their best days. |

Considering how much of the roster is just tiny “flippy shit” athletic guys, O’Haire having that athletic ability PLUS size, PLUS some personality should have been a lock for at least a good stint in the upper midcard.

Just gonna casually ignore that thekrow stole our beloved Curtis's gimmick???
The KOTF should not stand for this treachery....... |
Curtis isn’t around. I’ll allow it as a loving tribute.

thekrow > Curtis

I enjoyed that krow post but I got excited that Curtis was back

Curtis was the man

He’s carried the narrative into AEW, ignoring that their audience is largely going to age out of the “desirable” 18-49 demo by the time TV contract negotiations are through, and to focus on ways he can twist AEW into being a success when it’s just not as popular as the other product. Period. |

I’m on TPWW Red 4 life. Have tried green and blue and it just didn’t hit the same. The classic red and yellow is the only thing that actually feels like TPWW to me, brother.

Like most guys in late WCW, he was just given his name and told to work. The vignettes suddenly gave a charismatic, athletic guy with a great look, direction and a catch. The vignettes were attention grabbing because he had real charisma too. There was definitely star power there. It’s just sad that he wasn’t given the opportunity to debut the character as it was. I think it could have been so intriguing and he could have been a massive star. |

I get what you’re saying. I liked the vignettes too and got swept up in everyone thinking they were good too. But the guy couldn’t take it to actual live promos or his ring work. If he was destined to be such a big star, they would have found a way to make way more money off him. Heyman was behind these vignettes, yeah? This is like outside the myth that the WWE fucked everything up. Sean O’Haire was a guy with a look and a kind of presence in certain contexts that couldn’t deliver overall. |
O'Haire, with the right work, could have been huge. He could work in the ring and showed he had charisma, and a great look.
If I recall, the first great big moment of his gimmick was convincing Spanky to streak through the arena. Then they teamed him up with Piper which just made him seem like a bitch. He might have benefitted more in WWE by being teamed up with Jindrak again for a while until both developed more fleshed-out personalities. Aw well... |
