Well I'll only watch it once then.

CSL 12-10-2012 10:11 PM

The Perks of Being A Wallflower - 10/10

Nicky Fives 12-11-2012 10:45 PM

The Majestic - 10/10.... probably the only Jim Carrey movie I had not seen and it blew me away..... I was very surprised by the low ratings I've read from critics..... I absolutely loved it....

Cool King 12-12-2012 07:15 PM

Rise of the Guardians - 9/10

Raven Reaper 12-13-2012 09:17 PM

The Hobbit - Felt like 2002-2003 all over again. I smell an Oscar.. On the same level of awesomeness as LOTR..

10/10.. Yes, the ending really just growls sequel..

Schlomey 12-14-2012 10:43 AM

Men In Black 3 - 8/10 - Best of the 3 easily. Funny but most importantly an interesting story.

Moonrise Kingdon - 10/10 - Probably going to end up at the top of my best films of 2012.

El Vaquero de Infierno 12-14-2012 12:21 PM

Argo - 8/10

To say it has Ben Affleck in it (as well as directing), I quite like it.

RoXer 12-14-2012 02:25 PM

Silver Linings Playbook - 79

It was a little long and too intense at times. Was hoping for a more depressing ending when Bradley Cooper talks about how Catherine dies in A Farewll to Arms that Jennifer Lawrence would die at the end too but it didnt happen

Thank you, this movie was fantastic! My favorite line of the movie was when Bill Murray was laying in bed staring at the ceiling(don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen it. Classic sad/funny Murray).

The Condor 12-14-2012 08:24 PM

"Starman" starring Jeff Bridges + Karen Allen (1985). Sci-fi but extremely interesting and entertaining. 9.5/10

The Destroyer 12-15-2012 07:45 AM

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol - 7.5/10

As weird as Cruise is, he keeps on delivering the goods in these films. Fifth one please.

DLVH84 12-15-2012 03:59 PM

Ted - 10/10

Sam Jones made it more awesome.

FLASH!!!

Wait, what??

SPOILER: show
does it not end after they kill Smaug and Bilbo goes back to Hobbiton??

Cause that is how it ends in the book and nothing really happens in the 75 years between then and the beginning of Fellowship of the Ring..

RoXer 12-16-2012 02:14 AM

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter - 58 I guess.

I dunno. Really liked that scene where the vampire grabs a running horse by the leg and throws it at Abraham Lincoln.

Is this a real post

Had there been more scenes like that, this would've been a much better movie.

Aren't there like 2 or 3 Hobbit movies supposed to come out?

Like they split the book into parts or something?

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-16-2012 07:57 AM

Yes. Split them into parts and adding extra stuff from the Tolkienverse to flesh them out.

It was really good.

El Vaquero de Infierno 12-16-2012 08:05 AM

The Hobbit is getting rather mixed reviews over in the UK. If the first film is naff, it is unlikely that I will waste money on seeing the other two. We'll see come Wednesday when I watch it.

Razzamajazz 12-16-2012 11:06 AM

ted - 5/10 a couple funny jokes but other than that, meh

RoXer 12-16-2012 11:09 AM

AL:VH was a ridiculous movie but I dunno.

I didn't hate it

Blitz 12-16-2012 01:53 PM

It should've been a completely ridiculous movie. Except in pretty much every scene except that horse one, it tries to play it as straight as possible, and becomes incredibly self-serious.

I realize that I'm probably in the minority but I actually hated this movie, one of my least favorite movies of the year. I think I'm getting sick of Seth MacFarland, but with all the pop culture crap crammed into this movie I have a feeling it will not age well. Bah humbug. 2/10

Razzamajazz 12-16-2012 02:22 PM

yeah it was predictable, and the concept of the bear got kinda old pretty fast. but it's a comedy by seth mcfarlane so you can't really expect a whole lot

The Destroyer 12-16-2012 03:14 PM

Let The Right One In - 7/10

Creepy film. Probably would have liked it more if the disc hadn't jammed 3 or 4 times, but still.

Damian Rey 12-17-2012 08:29 PM

That's the original foreign film right? That movie was stellar.

Triple Naitch 12-17-2012 10:23 PM

The Hobbit - 9/10

Schlomey 12-18-2012 11:03 PM

The hobbit - wife made me go. Never seen lotr or had any desire too for some reason, still, 8/10. Bit long and dryer dialog than Star Wars but a few really good fights and an all around enjoyable cinema experience.

Nicky Fives 12-19-2012 12:04 AM

Wanderlust - 3/10 - not even Jennifer Aniston & Malin Akerman's hotness could save this one.....

Lucky Number Slevin - 7.5/10 - a friend from high school told me back in the day that I would love this movie when it came out, but I never listened to her and watched it until now.....Morgan Freeman as a bad guy is certainly different.....

Corporate CockSnogger 12-19-2012 05:11 AM

Looper - I'd read a lot about the plotholes in the film, but if you take yourself out from thinking about it too much then it's a really enjoyable action film. The kid actor was a little bit annoying though and probably would've preferred a more sympathetic looking child. You only had to look at this kid once and know he would be evil. JGL was on top form again though and Bruce Willis was Bruce Willis. The scene with the guys limbs disappearing as he's on the run was pretty well done I thought, again if you ignore the obvious plotholes of the scene.

Raven Reaper 12-19-2012 05:19 AM

The Bay directed by Barry Levinson (Good Morning Vietnam and Sleepers).. Felt like a typical REC-style news report footage but much more intense than the Paranormal shit going on.. Parasite bugs, infected fishes, minus the zombie mode infection on people, it just eats your intestines inside/out.. A breath of fresh air from the Paranormal Activity franchise. That's all.

8/10.

P.S. The news reporter Donna Thompson suggests a lesbo-tomboy character hence her Bieber-ish hair. :P

Bieber-ish hair suggests a girly girl.

Also, when I read "lesbo" I expected "lesbo blowjobs".

El Vaquero de Infierno 12-19-2012 12:02 PM

The Hobbit - 6.5/10

I didn't dislike the film, but I came out of the cinema rather unsatisfied. I felt like I'd seen a lot of this before in the previous LOTR films, and that they had put stuff in just to drag is out over 3 hours.

I'll probably see the other films but I won't waste money on the IMAX. Oh, and the HFR irritated me.

The Destroyer 12-22-2012 10:28 AM

The Devil's Rock - 4/10

Pretty crappy WW2 set horror. Would have gained a mark if the guy playing the main Nazi character had bothered to even attempt a German accent.

whiteyford 12-25-2012 03:55 AM

Total recall 8/10

Really enjoyed it more than I expected.

Original or remake?

Insidious - 7/10.

Actually genuinely creepy and some decent scares that weren't overly predictable. Lost a bit of momentum towards the end though.

whiteyford 12-25-2012 07:01 AM

Remake.

ClockShot 12-25-2012 03:27 PM

Django Unchained - 4.5/5

Ran longer than I thought. Still was a great flick.

Frank Drebin 12-26-2012 11:02 PM

Watched the new Total Recall. Sucked balls. 2/5

Still have no idea what the whole plot was about.

RoXer 12-27-2012 02:48 AM

Django- 80

Blitz 12-27-2012 10:42 AM

This Is 40: 8.5/10, kinda fascinating.
Django Unchained: 8.5/10, Quentin being Quentin.
