One of the least shocking departures ever.

He is the same size as Kenta, but older than Kenta was at the time of his signing. What makes Kushida think he will have any kind of success in NXT before getting stuck on 205 Live?

And forget any kind of main roster run. If Shinsuke got buried with everything be brings to the table, I don't see any Japanese wrestler ever getting any kind of success on the main roster.

Bad decision to sign with WWE in my opinion.

Jindrak and O'Haire were one of the best things about WCW in 2000. They both had the potential to be huge stars.

when will they let fin go

Jordan 04-19-2022 09:31 AM

Kushida will soon be the weekly debut on Dynamite, and face off against Trent!

Lock Jaw 04-19-2022 09:51 AM

Had a dream where AEW had existed for a lot longer, and that "El Generico" went to AEW instead of WWE... and of course AEW just let him be El Generico and he was still doing the gimmick until this day..... and we were robbed of all the goodness that is Sami Zayn...

Apparently WWE were of the belief that he'll be returning to New Japan. Timing-wise, he could theoretically go back for Best of Super Juniors which starts in mid-May. Would he want to go back to doing that when he'd already done all there was to do in BOSJ, I'm not sure.

But really, working anywhere outside of WWE you kinda have the freedom to show up wherever you want within reason so who knows.

This is really cool

Elix Skipper is vastly under praised by the IWC. He was a one of a kind and did stuff that would WOW even in AEW. Did he work for WWE? I can't even remember. His Triple X run was probably the best of his career that I know of, but Team Canada was a lot of fun too.

Bad News Gertner 04-19-2022 08:20 PM

Nope, never wrestled in the WWE. Just developmental.

Elix Skipper was a lot of fun. I don’t remember what actually happened to him. They did Triple X, then he was in Diamonds in the Rough and that is all I can remember.

nxtuk continues to be my favorite wrestling show every week. one hour, 3-4 solid matches, plenty of backstage/promo time, distinct characters and personalities, feuds that are given time to breathe but not extended out too long, enough different kinds of gimmick matches they can rotate through to keep things fresh (especially the heritage cup which is british rounds style), and nods to the history of the brand/wrestlers without bogging things down. kudos to whoever books it.

Do you really think he'd have made it as far as he did without the bumps?

Ol Dirty Dastard 04-22-2022 08:40 AM

I never said I did. Just...it came at a severe cost.

Jordan 04-22-2022 08:42 AM

Yeah it did. I am looking forward to his podcast maybe pushing him up a bit. Imagine a fan that didn't see Foley's run, they'd never understand.

Lol he really was, because he had some sort of vague connection within WWE he would constantly post rumors as fact, and get uptight if anybody dared to question him.

Plus the whole UFC spoilers "controversy".

Are they still doing empty arena with piped in crowd noise? That threw me off a bit when I last watched. Checked out the Meiko vs Bea matches which were great.

ron the dial 04-22-2022 09:02 AM

they've had small crowds back for a few weeks now. the piped in crowd noise for a clearly empty arena was pretty off-putting but i got accustomed to the stupidity after a while.
