I feel like making numerous Twitter accounts to boost your followers way up and then unfollow you with all of them but I feel like this generation would view that as "a mean thing to do" or even "bullying". On a positive note, I just have to talk about how amazing Chad Gable is at his job. He’s constantly a bright spark of wrestling every week. He’s hilarious. I was watching his stuff on Raw with a huge smile on my face. He’s just casually throwing out tiger suplexes on Raw and taking the best DDT bump in the business.

Every now and then I go through the WWE roster wiki just to find something that totally blows my mind. For a while, it was Sylvain Grenier being an agent with the company. I see he’s gone, but according to Wikipedia, Jason Jordan is now the “Senior Producer” in WWE. I was also surprised to see that Ken Doane is an agent.

Billy Kidman is not listed on their roster page, but I looked him up and saw he was still with the company. Apparently Kidman was released in 2005 before being re-hired in 2007 as a trainer before he became a producer. I have ZERO recollection of him leaving at all. I could have sworn he was there all along.

Sometimes I wonder if Funaki is a good commentator. It would be kind of funny if Funaki was actually legendary on the call.

Dwayne Johnson’s real name wasn’t Rocky Maivia. Roman Reigns is not really Roman Reigns. AJ Styles is not really a Styles. Becky isn’t really a Lynch. Charlotte’s first name is Ashley. It’s annoying when people that have been on the air for so long change their name, but in “WWE Kayfabe” that’s just part of their culture, I guess. Like a young lion finally getting some colorful tights.

I used to whinge about the name thing, but it’s just what you’re familiar with holding hegemony over you. I got used to Bray Wyatt after Husky Harris and Axel Mulligan. I’m already used to Bron Breakker. I don’t really care if he’s not Bron Steiner or Rex Steiner or whatever.

I still haven’t listened to Bradshaw and Brisco, but I’ll register the recommendation.
