The Broncos have reached out to free agent Ryan Fitzpatrick's representatives, sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, though Denver currently is unwilling to pay the salary that the quarterback is seeking.
Probably needs to hope the Jets find a way to keep Fitz or else they could also lose out on Robert Griffin III since the Jets are really interested in getting him.

Ruien 03-13-2016 09:54 PM

I know Fitz had a decent year but he can't be asking for that much money right? Dude was a bum for so many years. What the heck is he thinking?

SlickyTrickyDamon 03-14-2016 01:15 AM

Last best chance to get paid. Number of teams need a QB and he had a decent year with a not so decent team.

Evil Vito 03-14-2016 02:07 PM

B.J. Raji retiring. Was relevant enough to get into one of those annoying Rodgers Discount Double Check commercials.

Evil Vito 03-14-2016 03:25 PM

Ravens sign Eric Weddle. While I'm happy with what the Giants have done this offseason, Weddle's still a guy I was hoping would be brought in.

Droford 03-14-2016 04:32 PM

Might be a good move

Emperor Smeat 03-15-2016 12:13 AM

Two big things happened recently in the NFL.

The first being the NFL admitted for the first time there are legit medical links between CTE and football. Previously the NFL would downplay the claims and/or fund pro-NFL research to disprove any definitive links between the two.

The other being the NFL and NFLPA are currently working on a deal that would reduce the commish's power for disciplinary cases. Although talks are at a very early stage and the union hinted actual change won't be happening soon.
Quote:

The NFL and NFL Players Association are making progress toward a deal that would strip commissioner Roger Goodell of disciplinary power when it comes to off-the-field infractions by players, union executive director DeMaurice Smith told The Wall Street Journal.

"We've been talking about changes to the personal conduct policy since October and have traded proposals," Smith told The Wall Street Journal. "We looked at the league's proposal for neutral arbitration. There is a common ground for us to get something done."

weather vane 03-15-2016 02:39 AM

Fuhrer Goodell must go!

screech 03-15-2016 02:56 PM

Mike Wallace to Baltimore: 2/$11.5

I'm not sure how to feel about this.

SlickyTrickyDamon 03-15-2016 03:07 PM

Halo Voice: Betrayal!

:wavesad: Chandler.

Really good trade for the Pats. Gave up some pass rush depth in return for more O line protection which is something that became a huge problem late in the season.

Clerk 03-15-2016 03:28 PM

AZ gonna have best defense

Clerk 03-15-2016 03:29 PM

What are chances colin signs with browns

I can overlook his 2015 because he had Bridgewater throwing to him but They had a bunch of average receivers already I don't get it. Paying for the name and performance from like 5 years ago.

Droford 03-15-2016 03:40 PM

They were also interested in Roddy White and Percy Harvin

Would have rather had Roddy White

ClockShot 03-15-2016 04:07 PM

Broncos match Miami's offer to C.J. Anderson. They're keeping him.

But lose Ryan Harris to Pittsburgh.

Wade Phillips, Von Miller, DeMarcus Ware, Aqib Talib, T.J. Ward, and Chris Harris would like a word with you.

Only problem is Cooper has struggled alot. But that 2nd rounder is great

Talib really? Haha Flash Gordon owns that bitch. And Chandler Jones has Jon Jones so broncos getting that add beat lel

Clerk 03-15-2016 07:17 PM

If Brown's get Kaepernick there easily a 12-14 win team. The tandom of Kap and Gordon will be unstoppable since no one can cover flash. It's gonna be lit

Clerk 03-15-2016 07:26 PM

Imagine the browns offense Colin at QB and big fast physical receivers in Gordon Pryor and Bowe. Along with Barndige at TE it's gonna be lit

ClockShot 03-16-2016 01:44 PM

Miami is bringing in Chris Johnson for a visit since they lost out on C.J. Anderson.

Ha. So glad he's still in Denver.

weather vane 03-16-2016 01:55 PM

I like the move. Makes a lot of sense on a 1 year deal.

Dwayne Bowe got cut

Patriots find Gronk a new tag team tight end partner. Grab Martellus Bennett from the Bears for a draft pick.

owenbrown 03-16-2016 07:46 PM

Clerk is insane if he thinks the Browns are going to win 12 to 14 games

Holy cow. Patriots just upped their offense easily with this.

Clerk 03-17-2016 07:45 AM

I said if they get colin kaepernick you fucking cunt. Brown's keep letting people go they better not fucking let josh gordon go or there will be he'll to pay

Droford 03-17-2016 08:51 AM

Brown's will probably draft one of these can't miss QBs only to have them miss repestedly

ClockShot 03-17-2016 09:33 AM

Saints sign James "Lil' Animal" Laurinaitis.

Not a bad signing after leaving the Rams as the all-time leading tackler.

ClockShot 03-17-2016 06:54 PM

Broncos beef up the o-line and sign Russell Okung.

Nice move, Elway.

Evil Vito 03-17-2016 07:27 PM

After missing out on both Okung and Penn I wouldn't be surprised if the Giants wind up going O-line in the first round for the 3rd time in 4 years (and the 2nd year in a row using a top 10 pick on the OL).

Really underwhelmed by most of the OL prospects though, would prefer to just go with another defensive upgrade or even WR and look for OL help in the 2nd or 3rd.

ClockShot 03-17-2016 08:27 PM

Miami wasn't interested in Chris Johnson. He's back in Arizona on a 1-year deal.

Emperor Smeat 03-18-2016 12:25 AM

Some NFL news with one being pretty bad at the moment.

Chiefs proposing for NFL owners to vote on a new rule after it failed to be considered by NFL's competition committee. It involves QBs no longer allowed to throw passes if they fall to the ground regardless if they were touched or not. Being dubbed as the "Peyton Manning Rule" due to how it swung a playoff game between the Steelers and Broncos last season.

The Chiefs want the NFL to change its illegal forward pass rules to include instances when a quarterback throws a pass after his body has touched the ground (other than with his feet or hands) while the ball was in his possession.

The proposal references Manning's fourth-quarter play in the Denver Broncos' 23-16 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the divisional round of the 2015 playoffs.
Peyton Manning fell down under pressure but popped up to throw a 34-yard pass to receiver Emmanuel Sanders in the Broncos' playoff win over the Steelers.

With his Broncos trailing 13-12 at the time, Manning went to the ground to avoid contact with blitzing cornerback Will Allen. When he realized that Allen never touched him, Manning stood up and threw a 34-yard pass to receiver Emmanuel Sanders.

If the Chiefs' rule proposal had been on the books at the time, Manning would have been penalized for an illegal forward pass. In the proposal, the Chiefs reasoned that defenders "let up" when they see a quarterback on the ground. As the rule stands, according to the Chiefs, quarterbacks have an incentive to "play dead" to give their team an advantage.

Ejections for two personal fouls in a game rule ended up getting passed by the NFL's competition committee for vote during the upcoming owners meetings. Proposal itself got water downed on what counts towards the ejection requirement for fouls though.

SlickyTrickyDamon 03-18-2016 01:02 AM

I don't think the owners want their players off the field.

Droford 03-18-2016 01:12 AM

The Ravens want eligible players to have to wear vests over their jerseys to indicate theyre elligible. I know the refs fucked the Ravens over twice in those calls but that has no chance of happening and is honestly stupid.

weather vane 03-18-2016 02:58 AM

Ravens still crying about big bad Billy

ClockShot 03-18-2016 05:23 AM

Why is it that QBs inspire these new rules?

Evil Vito 03-18-2016 02:40 PM

Droford...criticizing the Ravens? Move the Doomsday Clock to 11:58.

Evil Vito 03-18-2016 02:45 PM

The Colts had already said that nobody would wear #18 again after Peyton left the team, but now Irsay made the number retirement official and a statue will be built outside of Lucas Oil Stadium.
