Thought funky would squish me last night, as I havn't played since last summer, but I did a lot better than I thought I would.

Still, I've lost a lot of my edge, and was playing sloppy quite a few times. Very dissapointed with how my Abel and Honda have deteriorated. At least my Ryu is still in top form.

I am so excited to play again. I put my hands on the game for a little bit, and it still felt so fresh. I was having a lot of fun playing a number of new characters (not Adon basically). I could see myself playing Hakan and Cody more. Cody surprised me...he looked so boring in video but he plays so well.

I marked out when I did Hakan's 2nd Ultra on a friend. That is the best Ultra I have ever seen. So stupid and hilarious and awesome. Don't even compare it to Ryu's 2nd. Its not even in the same league!

Also, wtf. Why do I always have so much trouble connecting with blitz?

My Tekken 6 stick came, was a bit worried that I'd made a mistake getting a square-gate stick because I couldn't fucking dragon punch everytime I wanted in MvC2 on XBLA.

Luckily, after throwing in SF4, I was as good as perfect with my input. PHEW.

5 times now the game has frozen onme during a loading screen. Also, it won't show the opening cinematic. It gets to the close up of Ken's face and then to the title screen.

Gonna put some time into Juri, Dudley, Guy, and possibly Ibuki and Cody. Cammy seems very improved for whatever reason, and gonna continue my progress with Gouken. Really like the damage reduction, though sometimes it felt like I was doing MORE damage.

Was initially not feeling the new online, but endless battle feels like being in the arcade again which is pretty cool.

Highlight of my session tonight: playing Roxer Cammy Vs. Cammy. Close battle. Roxer's across the screen, taunts me with Cammy saying "Come on". My Cammy immediately answers "ok" and EX Hooligans across the screen to throw Roxer. I think that might have ended the round.

Revenge for when Roxer ended a battle with his Guile suplexing my Gouken right out of a Denjin Hadouken.

I thought you just needed the save data from SFIV to get the filter. You could just get someone to send you there save data, put it on a USB drive and then onto your 360.

It's easier (and should be faster) because all someone has to do is stick a USB into their 360, copy the SFIV save file to it, put it on their PC and send it to you.

ugh...the d pad blows so hard on the 360! But i seem to be able to pull off moves better on that than the analog.

Picked up a Madcatz Fight Pad today. The D Pad is leagues beyond the regular 360 ones. I can finally pull off Ultras without just doing EX special moves instead. Still can't fucking do those charging down super/ultras for the life of me though. Don't even understand the damned motion.

Yeah, Capcom actually said right when they announced SSF4 that if you had SF4 you'd get a special bonus when you booted up SSF4. Why would you do that when lots of games do things like that in the sequels.?:wtf:

I played a team battle woth RoXer, earlier. I sucked but I had only been playing for about 5 hours total after months of not playing SFIV, so that had to be expected. I had at least 10 ranked matches and only won one of them. I'm hoping I get back into the swing of it all quickly.

It's weird. I sucked online but the first thing I did when I got the game today was plow through Arcade Mode on hardest as Zangief without using a continue. Got 3 or 4 achievements for that.

Buddy, this isn't some Mortal Kombat type early 90s fighter where you can do whatever and win. Certain moves have properties that have major effects on gameplay. Plus, it's a good idea to pay attention to move priorities and the distance where you are attacking from.

If a guy is blocking a lot, chip away with special moves or throw his ass. Orrrr, if he is doing a standing block, attack low. If he is doing a low block, jump kick him in the face. Or fuck it and go for a big ass focus attack. Lots of things you can do.

Don't give up. We need guys for the tourney.

After an embarrassing night, me and the guys had some offline action and I'm getting my groove back.

I didn't think it was possible but the cutscenes in arcade make even less sense than before.

Roxer let Juri kick his ass. To be fair, the dude beat me too, but i took 1, almost 2, rounds from him/her. DID YOU NOT WATCH MY FIGHT ROXER!? THE DUDE USED THE SAME TWO MOVES OVER AND OVER! All you had to do was block and wait for the openings...Juri's chip damage is weak.

Did you even bother trying to fight him on Very Easy or even, dare I say it...Easiest? Easiest would probably be your best shot if you can't take him down on Easy. Doesn't mean you can't try Very Easy first though and see if you can beat him on that setting.

I'm going to keep playing Hakan until I can prove he can get out of situations that I currently don't think he can get out of easily. Every move he does can be blocked or avoided low, and he is insanely easy to trap in a corner.

And I don't oil enough, but I need to spend some time in training understanding the differences in the moves he makes.
