This has got to be the most blatant WCW theme rip off ever
|
I guess this was from Hard Times 2, but this guy was the champion of the local indy fed for over a year.

Remember when Ron Killings was the NWA World Heavyweight Champion?

Blackjack Lanza passed away at age 87 today
|
If only The New Blackjacks had worked out, we’d have a Blackjacks 3.0 team today and this news would be undeniably worthy of its own thread. Then again, we likely wouldn’t have had JBL. Or the APA.
And without the APA we likely wouldn’t have gotten Ron Simmons’ career rebirth. And without Ron Simmons’ career rebirth, we wouldn’t have gotten “DAMN!” And without “DAMN!” we wouldn’t have gotten DAMN iNATOR. Anyway, I’ll still make a thread about Lanza’s life and death later if no one has. It’s definitely worthy of it. |

So I've got a great Blackjack Lanza story
Back during the expansion in 1984, Vince kept fucking with Verne and Verne of course got paranoid. Larry Zbyszko walked into Verne's office and saw Blackjack Lanza crawling around on his hands and knees checking for bugs as Verne was convinced his office was being bugged by Vince. Lol the mole was Blackjack Lanza, and that's why Lanza was around for so long as an agent. |

Also, I recently got my buddy a Cameo from Quinn McKay for Christmas. It was kind of awesome.

Avery Good (formerly Dasher Hatfield of CHIKARA) has announced that he'll wrestle 10 more matches and then leave the business.
I think he'd ultimately LIKE to keep going but he's had a rough go of it the last couple of years. CHIKARA's closure required a lot of their talent to completely re-brand themselves even as no indies were running, not easy to do since many of the characters from that company were viewed as too cartoony to get traction being booked elsewhere. He was scheduled for a PC tryout that got cancelled right at the start of the pandemic and he never got invited back. A few other indies he's frequented in the last year have gone on hiatus. Nagging injuries, and a family at home. He even said he views it as quitting more than retiring. |

Especially now, in an Era where so many guys wrestle the same way, and have the same type of offense. |
Kevin Freaking Nash making his GCW debut in January WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
|
saw that last night! also love that alex shelley brokered the deal since he'll be on the card for gcw again that night.

Super stoked. Love Nash. I've also decided that the reason this is even happening is because someone at GCW saw the Nashvember thread and realized that Kevin has a massive following and is more over than anyone in the business today and decided to strike while the iron is hot and book the greatest ever for one more epic run.

lol top rope assisted flip flop
|
How long till he tears his quad. Will it be when he steps over the top rope?

Seriously, she wouldn't have to say jack shit. Just do the smile, cutesy wave, then flash her abs for about 10 seconds. I'd consider that money well spent. |
Dude. How am I just hearing about this now.

That song has to be Jimmy Hart’s handiwork.
|
I really enjoyed the song.
|
It’s no “Girls in Cars”.
|
i'm still humming along to "wimpbusters" which was a great original hit by the king.

Back when they showed some wrestling on Polish TV, they would give wrestlers their own names just judging by what they saw. Alex Wright was Disco Kid.
