Just a really mediocre movie that could have so good but wasn't. I didn't give two shitsabout any of the characters, including Snow White. Kristen Stewart had zero character to work with, which is sad. It's like they told her to just stare worth her eyes half closed and her mouth agape the whole time.

The Queen was the most interesting character, but her lines at the beginning of the film and a brief flashback to her origin don't match up. Everything just seemed to be thrown together and glossed over and made for a very underwhelming feeling.

Pretty certain that's why she was cast in the first place.

Kristen Stewart?

Pretty certain she was cast because the director had a boner for her for some reason.

XL 10-03-2012 07:21 AM

Pretty certain she was cast because she is a pretty big/the biggest Hollywood star for the key demographic of movie goers that the film was looking for due to her starring role in the Twilight saga.

Well, the director fucked her, so my point still stands.

XL 10-03-2012 12:35 PM

Oh right. Ok.

PorkSoda 10-04-2012 08:35 AM

Clueless - 0/10

Bad Santa is immature, dirty, and raunchy. Santa, played by Thornton, in that movie talks like an angry 14 year old. No wonder you think it's hilarious.

Do you read the synopsis of a movie before you watch it or just look at the title and decipher its plot based on that? Did you imagine American Pie was a movie based around a US baking competition, possibly starring a young Lou Diamond Philips, who has to win the national pie baking contest to get the money he needs to save his grandparents farm, and maybe learn a little something about life and love, with the snarky but equally troubled young woman he's competing against, an excellently cast Diane Lane i'd assume? Just to save you the trouble, its about a guy who fucks a pie. I'm pretty sure half of the words you used to describe Bad Santa are on the cover.

Skippord 10-05-2012 02:23 AM

I'd watch the shit out of that version of American Pie

whiteyford 10-05-2012 02:54 AM

It's the image of LDP in a chefs hat that swayed you isn't it? I also want to see my version now.

Skippord 10-05-2012 03:40 AM

it was the image of LDP in a chefs hat hugging his grandfather who's grudging respect he won by saving the farm through the majesty of a pie baking contest.

Skippord 10-05-2012 03:46 AM

do you want to write a screenplay together?

whiteyford 10-05-2012 04:53 AM

I picture the grandfather as Edward James Olmos.

whiteyford 10-05-2012 04:54 AM

Or Danny Trejo

Skippord 10-05-2012 05:38 AM

Edward James Olmos is perfect

Dude. Sandra Bullock has to be in it. As a clumsy, yet adorable baker.

You suck at casting.

Sixx 10-05-2012 06:09 AM

She falls in love with LDP throughout the movie and they win the baking contest together, his cut to save the farm, hers to follow her dream, leave her abusing, cheating husband and open up a zoo-themed bakery.

The 5 Year Engagement - 5/10

Parts were funny but the majority of the film were slit your wrist depressing.

PorkSoda 10-05-2012 11:50 AM

I'm sorry that a mature person like myself dislikes an immature film such as Bad Santa.

CSL 10-05-2012 12:44 PM

PorkSoda 10-05-2012 05:12 PM

PorkSoda 10-07-2012 01:56 PM

We can make it happen next month. Seriously.

By the way, Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi are on deck for me to watch. So get ready for Star Wars IV-VI ratings soon.

The Rogerer 10-09-2012 05:21 AM

Bad Santa improves a lot when you watch it more than once.

dronepool 10-09-2012 05:32 AM

Oceans Eleven - 7.5 / 10

Oceans Twelve- 6.8 / 10

Nicky Fives 10-09-2012 11:03 AM

End of Watch 3 1/2 out of 5

Raven Reaper 10-10-2012 06:17 AM

http://community.washingtonexaminer....9/sinister.jpg

Insidious 2.0 meets The Ring (except it's in a movie projector super 8 snuff film equipment), and Children of the Corn. Intense cut scenes of the 1st person view in a killer's perspective from a happy family enjoying their picnics then it quickly cuts to the gruesome parts of burning, mutilation, lawn mowing the bodies, and hanging of the family members.. Perfect Halloween boo moments this month...

9/10. Why did I say Children of the Corn? Well, see for yourself...

The Destroyer 10-10-2012 06:54 AM

Got a bit of catching up to do:

Never Let Me Go - 6/10
State of Play - 8/10
A Mighty Wind - 7/10
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince - 8/10
