Bo Dallas sucks. In all his matches so far, his opponents looked better than he did.

Vastardikai 06-19-2014 12:58 PM

Like I mentioned a few pages ago: He's a modern day Sam Houston.

In other words, decent talent in the ring, but will never reach the heights of his much more charismatic brother.

I never even get to the point to watch his matches, literally change it or go do something else. That is how bad it comes across for me.

HELP NEEDED

So me and some mates are working on a wrestling-based sitcom, and I'm just throwing together a brief storyboard for a scene. I need a picture of something that we've all seen plenty of times, but right now I can't find one anywhere and have no idea where I've seen similar pics.

I need a pic of a wrestler going through the curtain out into the arena, but where the angle is behind them, so you see them step out through the curtain, and you'll see a glimpse of the thousands of fans, the glitz and glamour, the stage etc, but from the perspective of just behind the curtain.

I'm sure I've seen examples of this with Steve Austin, The Rock, John Cena etc, but right now I can't find any of the bloody things.

Help would be much appreciated.

19:28 for Austin walking through

Heisenberg 06-19-2014 04:46 PM

crap, wish I was home, I think there was a WMXXX special where The Rock, SCSA and Hogan were bs'ing backstage before their joint promo and they showed The Rock peeking out the curtain and it sounds like what you need, can't pull it up here at work otherwise I'd screenshot that for ya

Rammsteinmad 06-19-2014 04:50 PM

Perfect! Yeah that's the one I was originally thinking of. Forgot it was that backstage clip between the three. Cheers guys.

Curt Hawkins is selling a few items on Ebay, from his time in the WWE.

Some items have taken my fancy, but as you would expect, the prices for some of them are a bit much.

Big E vs. Jack Swagger: SmackDown, May 10, 2013

http://www.wwe.com/f/styles/standard..._Photo_039.jpg
“The match that changed my life was a match on a SmackDown leading up to my first World Heavyweight Title defense on a pay-per-view. During a match between Big E and Swagger, Alberto Del Rio introduced a ladder and slid it into the middle of the ring. We both looked at each other and went for the ladder. I, being the much better athlete, was much quicker and got there faster. Unfortunately, Jack Swagger kicked me in the head as I was trying to pick up the ladder. I don’t remember anything after that.

“From that point forward, I was diagnosed with a concussion and did not defend my title. At the next pay-per-view where I was able to compete, I lost my one and only defense to Alberto Del Rio at WWE Payback in Chicago.” — DOLPH ZIGGLER

Looks like Seth Rollins' CAW theme is here to stay.

It's been released on iTunes.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/tvR8OF5EkM8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It's nothing amazing. It's something like forty seconds of music, looped about twenty times.

In fact, WWE isn't even sure Bryan will be available in time for SummerSlam. They do, however, expect him back in time for the Night Of Champions pay-per-view, which takes place on September 21st in Nashville, Tennessee. It is believed that Bryan will work a stipulation match with Kane upon his return, as from a story line standpoint, he's the guy who put Bryan on the shelf.

The Wrestling Observer noted that Gibson had been with WWE for about 5 months and basically organized writers to work on different angles and different Superstars, as opposed to actually writing himself. It was said that Gibson had very little knowledge of the WWE product and that was made apparent when he was asked his opinion on some things.

It’s been reported how Vince McMahon has been down on some of the newer WWE characters, including WWE Divas Champion Paige. Coming out of this week’s RAW, it was said that Vince is growing wary of Paige and continues to be losing interest in someone he was high on at one point, at least. It’s said there was a similar situation with Emma.

Brian Myers, 29, trained with the current Zack Ryder after being trained together by Mikey Whipwreck. They were signed together in early 2006 as The Majors Brothers, with Myers and Brian and Ryder as Brett. They were brought up in 2007 as The Major Brothers, dropping the s, as part of a group headed by Edge as the Edge Heads. They were doing well until one day at a meeting, Vince McMahon found out that they weren’t brothers, and, as crazy as this sounds, said that if they weren’t brothers, why are we pretending they are. So they stopped being brothers and became Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder.

To start off with, the average salary of a WWE production/backstage crew member is anywhere between $40,000 and $75,000 a year. (Obviously this can change on depending on the contract and position and individual.) The crew member will spend around 300 days a year out on the road touring from city to city working on the TV shows, house shows, and PPV's as well as anything else in between. (This does not include the current iteration of NXT, as that is an entirely different production) ...

Up until now, the WWE has paid for all travel expenses for the crew, including providing buses and airfare as well as hotel accommodations when needed. Now, due to budget cuts, these travel expenses have been removed and the crew is now responsible for their own travel.

This is a major problem for 2 major reasons.

The amount of traveling done by WWE is massive. If your paying your employee to travel all over the country nearly everyday, but now are expecting them to pay for that travel, it's going to cost the employee a very large sum of money, effectively it could cut thir yearly salary in half just on traveling alone, making working for the company seemingly pointless financially.

The physical and mental toll that touring has on someone is exhausting. The normal day to day workload of a WWE crew member is intense and physical, causing very long days and nights. Yes, wrestlers normally carpool or drive themselves to the show, but at tapings and raw there not expected to be there until 1pm on a showday. The crew is there 8am. Most nights the load out of the show won't finish until 3am, sometimes later. If your being expected to work this schedule AND drive and take care of your own travel expenses year round, your going to be in a very unhealthy and potentially dangerous situation and work enviorment.
WWE likely going to face some serious problems with their production crew after the latest rounds of budget cuts. According to this person, WWE is likely going to face a mass exodus, a huge strike, or both occurring in the near future as a result.

I can't imagine making even the high end $75k and having enough money to cover travel expenses for 300 days a year. But I do imagine WWE is going to save some serious money not paying for that any more. They should either give them a raise or split the costs.

It's amazing what 1 year in the semi-main event of WWE can do for your existence. I can't wait to see Brodus Clay feud for the TNA Championship at Lockdown 2015.
