Prob in.

#1-norm-fan 07-25-2021 11:18 PM

I’ll start on Thursday when there’s no current wrestling on. Might start with post-Great American Bash ‘86 WCW since that’s what I’m watching right now anyway and those episodes are easy to find. If that goes well, I’ll start a second thread for WWF Primetime Wrestling from the same time period.

man, wish i had thought of that first. would be hilarious to do that for real in a crowded corridor

Wilkinson then handed the briefcase to bystander in a striped t-shirt and demanded that he “ring the bell,” which drew blank looks of confusion until a nearby cyclist eventually ting-a-linged a bicycle bell.
lol

#1-norm-fan 07-26-2021 12:21 AM

By WWE’s shaky rules, I’m pretty sure that would count.

#1-norm-fan 07-26-2021 12:26 AM

Seth Rollins using it to cash in by making a singles match a triple threat match and pinning the challenger is still maybe my favorite example of WWE saying “Let’s just do some shit and trust our fans to not ask any questions.”

XL 07-26-2021 01:31 AM

Do I need to point out that it’s a parody website, or does that ruin the fun?

Vastardikai 07-26-2021 02:46 AM

One of my long standing jokes is that anyone who wears a replica title belt to an Indy Show should be forced to Defend it.

Also, I have had my replica briefcase used as a weapon a few times at a local indy fed.

Savio 07-26-2021 09:40 AM

Always liked the look of Sandows briefcase.

Forgot he was ever MitB

screech 07-26-2021 10:09 AM

He was the first one to lose the cash-in, right?

drave 07-26-2021 10:10 AM

Yeah. and had a damn good match with Cena on Raw. After, he was never heard from again.

Feel like I've watched that 123545678654 times already

Bad News Gertner 07-26-2021 10:42 AM

Oh the yarns about to be spun

slik 07-26-2021 10:43 AM

lol

Bad News Gertner 07-26-2021 11:32 AM

Remember when Stephanie compared defeating the enemy in 9/11 to Vince defeating the government in the Steroid Trial on Smackdown.

slik 07-26-2021 11:45 AM

lol yes

A couple years ago when they were trying to shop around a Vince biopic the script ended with him deciding to create the Attitude Era immediately after and because of the steroid trial.

slik 07-26-2021 11:53 AM

I wonder if they'll spruce up the dome a little

Jeff Hardy has the rona

Lock Jaw 07-26-2021 12:30 PM

Karrion Kross should take credit and change his name/gimmick to Carrier Cross, where he infects all his opponents.

I think Mizdow happened after correct? They fumbled that too.

Fignuts 07-26-2021 12:37 PM

To be fair, there was no where for that gimmick to go, after turning on miz.

Bad News Gertner 07-26-2021 12:50 PM

Yeah Mizdow happened well after

But the turn was horribly botched.

fundiddle 07-26-2021 01:05 PM

damien sandow for me remains one of the worst cases of blue balls in recent memory, the load just dissolved and reabsorbed into my body leaving me woozy

Thought about making a thread where we watch a year of classic wrestling TV in real-time and discuss the shows. Hopefully with minimal angry arguments comparing it to AEW. Who would join in?

Pretty pumped for this

Fignuts 07-26-2021 03:29 PM

It honestly wouldn't have mattered if they had knocked it out of the park. The gimmick had a ceiling and they had already hit it.

Bad News Gertner 07-26-2021 04:15 PM

Exactly.

Bad News Gertner 07-26-2021 04:17 PM

I remember Miz beating Mizdow in Raw and it just kind of ended. Two weeks later it came out that the match on Raw was the blow off. It was a blow off that nobody knew was until two weeks later lol.

Lock Jaw 07-26-2021 04:28 PM

Sandow also wasn't actually that good

Noid 07-26-2021 04:31 PM

Damien Sandow was a B+ Elias.

Damian Rey 2.0 07-26-2021 05:18 PM

I thought Sandow as the intellectual savior was a good gimmick. He won MITB and I thought he’s gonna be decent B show heel champ on smackdown for a while. Then the wwe decided to unite the world and wwe titles before Sandow cashed in and that was the end of any chance he had at being a world champion lol.

drave 07-26-2021 06:57 PM

He and Elias could have made some twin magic.

Keith Lee on his absence

I hope he knows he doesn't have to succumb into pressure and share.

Damian Rey 2.0 07-26-2021 07:23 PM

A week or two huh? Wonder if he’s leaving soon.

slik 07-26-2021 07:37 PM

My guess is it's probably some angle and maybe he turns heel and cuts one of those "YOU PEOPLE" promos at the crowd

Damian Rey 2.0 07-26-2021 07:42 PM

Which obvs makes total and complete sense

Damian Rey 2.0 07-26-2021 07:43 PM

They are in dire need of babyfaces for both shows right now and one guy they could protect and push is Keith Lee. Don’t why they won’t.
