A certain Tuesday night wrestling program is not in the top 30 trends on Twitter while it is airing, possibly a big after effect of that 2 minute Karrion Kross job on Monday
edit: 90 minutes into the show it made it into the top 30 trends |
I can’t see how anyone could stay invested in nxt when they’ve botched nearly every call up they’ve had.

It made it easier to enjoy NXT for what it is, but not having the expectations that anything in NXT will matter outside of NXT, is still a downer hanging over anything really fun NXT is doing. The Way is currently great, the whole gimmick that Austin and Indi are their kids, and always doing stuff that makes the parents mad is funny as hell. If they got moved to Smackdown, that would all gone, and they would be boring tag teams on Main Event. Its no wonder guys like.Gargano and Ciampa would rather stay in NXT. |
Was watching an old episode of the X Files and who did I see: Rob Van Dam lol
Had no idea he was on an episode. He played a wrestler (not as himself) https://cheappopculture.files.wordpr...2/img_4982.jpg |

Lol This is such an awkward, insecure company.

.......................I....................I don't...............

Uhhhhh what?
|
Tbh a Right to Censor type parody gimmick of internet fans would be pretty good right now
|
I’m surprised we haven’t gotten a Jim Cornett parody gimmick yet. Especially in AEW.
|
Probably don't want to get sued

His name was Jameson. |

WWE are allowing Steve Corino to come out of retirement to face his son Colby at an indy show in August. Pretty cool.

Exactly. Cornette is very quick to file a lawsuit. He lost the G Raver one due to parody. It's not worth the headache to AEW for a couple laughs

If they were to slip up, Cornette would be all over them

I would personally love for them to being in a manager that is Cornett like, shitting on the company and backing a WWE style guy.
Imagine bringing in Braun and having Dan Lambert manage him and cut more awesome promos. |

Love that so much
|
Lol, just listened to the Drive-Thru? Is Meltzer really comparing Cornette’s criticism of AEW “hate speech?” Holy shit.
|
I didn't notice anything on Dave's twitter?

Lol fuck, now I'll have to listen to the Drive Thru. I usually don't listen to the shows where he's reviewing a WWE/AEW event. Can only take so much "old man yells at cloud"
|
making a lot of solid points about illogical shit in a funny way is not akin to verbally abusing a cumulus
|
I don't watch current wrestling so I'm not defending it, but Cornette has gotten beyond ridiculous. If you don't like it, don't fucking watch. It's like the people who complain about Raw for years and years yet they still watch.
|
are you being serious? sorry i don't follow your gimmick
he's providing content for people that want to hear him talk about it, it's often painful for him but i assure you, it is nothing like the people who complain about raw for years and years yet they still watch. jim doesn't even watch raw, but that's beside the point. listening to jim tear shit apart and give things their fare due when it's apparent something is done in a way he thinks it should be is pure entertainment, and beats the hell out of reading some vanilla review on wrestlinginc or some shit. i often wouldn't know what the dynamite results were if not for the drive thru, i like to stay abreast |
Velveteen Dream was announced for his first indy booking with New Jersey-based promotion SWF on September 11. The announcement faced so much backlash that his appearance was cancelled in under two hours.

He's definitely giving his audience what they want by hate watching current wrestling. It's just become tiresome. The show is much better when he's talking old wrestling instead of bitching about Kenny Omega for the 1000th time, or being delusional about how much of a success AEW has become. Wrestling evolves and Jim has been a miserable failure every time he's involved in a creative job. People bitched when Stevens and Patterson came around and when the Rock & Roll came around and when the Hardy Boyz came around that they were all too "spotty". So ridiculous. Brian is WAY more level headed than Jim |

Why are all these folks being salty about a guy who is just about as his ceiling as a talent? He looks like a shitty CAW. He doesn't have much in the way of personality other than Angry Face. All of his charisma is stored in his wife. By himself, there isn't much there.
That said, this program just started. At least give it another week. For all we know, he's gonna come in and destroy Jeff Hardy. To set up the match. He's not going to get buried on the Main Roster until his wife debuts. |
Yeah I'm betting he ends up murdering Hardy. It was a quick roll up with Jeffs legs on the topes. Not like it was a clean or a squash lol. Considering that Jeff used the ole dirty tricks to win the match I would bet he ends up costing Kross the title in his next defense and then Kross goes up to RAW to feud with him.
