Emperor Smeat 05-19-2021 08:30 PM

That mug looks amazing.

Where did you order it from and how much since I suddenly have the urge to buy one.

Redbubble is the greatest site for stuff like that. I bought my Royal Rumble 92 and High Energy T shirts from there.

Holy shit this site has some of the coolest stuff. I've never even seen a Joshi shirt and this has loads of them. And a fucking 1981 Champion's Carnival shirt are you kidding me.

Damn. Will Ospreay had to relinquish the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship due to a neck injury. He will be returning to the UK to get treatment with no timetable for a return.

drave 05-20-2021 01:26 PM

Think this was heavily predicted years ago. That he would have some nasty injury that is.

Sepholio 05-20-2021 01:51 PM

Yeah with his style it was pretty much inevitable.

fundiddle 05-20-2021 02:16 PM

ospreay seemed banged up as fuck 5 years ago, can't imagine the drive of that guy. sad to hear but hope it's only a setback and not a retirement but he's not getting any younger working his way

Did anyone else have a longer list of terrible gimmicks than Barry Darsow

Evil Vito 05-20-2021 04:34 PM

My first time watching wrestling was April 1998 and by late 1998 I was watching the Saturday Night episodes.

So my first exposure to Darsow was him was this

could NOT believe when I discovered older stuff later and found out he was in Demolition

Sean Ross ASAP reporting the velveteen dream has been released

Emperor Smeat 05-20-2021 05:40 PM

He was doomed the moment WWE released Wuertz since there was no way he was surviving this round of cuts if WWE was going to use the opportunity to also dump a nutjob from the company.

Sepholio 05-20-2021 05:51 PM

His bio is still up on WWE for what that's worth.

Wait is there more than the alleged sending nudes to minors on Snapchat?

Emperor Smeat 05-20-2021 07:07 PM

That was the big one but supposedly he kept getting into trouble backstage over drugs and other issues and was never punished for it because he kept getting protected and given second chances by some high level NXT officials.

Think the worst non-sexual related allegation against him was him being an illicit drugs supplier for talent in NXT leading to NXT having a serious drug problem going down at one point.

Evil Vito 05-20-2021 07:50 PM

Dream is probably the biggest waste of a talent I can remember.

Emperor Smeat 05-20-2021 08:09 PM

For sure.

Not only was he on track to be a potential future big star for WWE, he also was on track to be one of the rare big successes from Tough Enough and a legit home grown big star on the men's side developed in NXT.

NXT's done a good job developing home grown stars on their women's side but have done poorly when it comes to home grown stars on their men's side. All of their notable big stars from NXT since its existence either came from FCW or from the indies instead.

Braun Strowman is probably the only real notable big home grown male star developed from NXT but his time there was just him being the muscle for Bray's group and someone who hit their ceiling hard on the main roster for success.

yeah the men ether come from roh or impact

GD 05-20-2021 08:16 PM

I'm waiting for Noid's opinion considering he may have never seen a Velveteen Dream match from start to finish.

PWI confirmed Don Callis is out as an executive in Impact Wrestling but will be sticking around as an on-screen talent for the foreseeable future.

guess it was too much for don, but he did get alot done in 4 years. so he can retire to just on air role.

Damn. Dream was trying to bring old school wrestling back.

Emperor Smeat 05-21-2021 02:27 PM

Turns out Dream was also a huge pervert towards other talent in NXT since Fightful is currently working on a big story about him.

He got busted at one point for taking voyeuristic videos of others in the company.

Seems NWA has a growing bad rep of being a very low pay company to work for.

ROH and indie wrestler Tony Deppen was the latest wrestler to hint that in a recent Q&A session he had.

MLW used to have a similar bad rep but supposedly have started to pay their talent more money due to all the added revenues coming in from their new tv and streaming deals.

Mr. Nerfect 05-21-2021 04:59 PM

Don Callis was probably a PR disaster waiting to happen, but TNA didn’t want to admit it, so they just fired him as an executive.

I used to live in the same town as Mr. Fuji and bought pills from him twice when I was like 14. Xanax. He worked as a ticket taker at the Regal Cinemas and would sell pills to those who he knew. My older friend had the hookup. Once I got them at the Cinema and once at his house. My brother ended up buying his house after he died.
