Bad News Gertner 07-26-2015 11:56 AM

Nope.

He won the title in WCW in the dying days of the company.

Haha that would be my idol Rock and Roll Buck Zumhofe

Winner!

I was wondering what hints I'd give if noone knew the answer. "Fucked his daughter" would make this too obvious.

I kept focusing on ECW for some reason. I know the dying days of WCW all too well.

Corporal Cajun!

Though to be fair I don't even know if he won the tag belt, but it makes sense.

Cool King 07-26-2015 12:11 PM

I think you've got it.

I kept focusing on ECW too.

Correct

Who Am I

I no longer wrestle. I share something in common with Jerry Lawler. I took my name from an obscure movie star. The only championship that I held was tag gold in a now defunct company. My nickname reflects the state I billed from. I was part of a stable towards the end of my run in which I won my only gold.

Tracey Smothers.

Bad News Gertner 07-26-2015 07:26 PM

Corporal Cajun/Lash Leroux is correct

Sixx 07-26-2015 07:39 PM

What does he have in common with Lawler, btw?

Bad News Gertner 07-26-2015 10:39 PM

Both are cartoon artists, which is what Leroux did after retiring from wrestling.

Oh, I knew about Leroux, didn't know Lawler drew, too.

Just a simple one...

This second generation star did what Kevin Owens couldn't do in his (the star in question, not Owens) televised WWE debut match.

Who is it, and what did he do that Kevin Owens didn't do.

Hints in the spoilers, if you need them.

SPOILER: show
As US title matches go, this one was cool.

Was thinking of the old, rather obscure Kansas Jayhawks tag team.

Carlito defeated John Cena for the US title (2004 on SmackDown!)?

Either way, right or wrong, I still definitely remember that.

He also defeated Shelton in his RAW debut for the IC title.

Sixx 07-27-2015 07:02 AM

I'm pretty sure the answer was Carlito, so you got it, DAMNiNATOR.

Now ask a question.

DAMN iNATOR 07-27-2015 07:27 AM

Who did MVP defeat in 2009 to finally break his notorious long losing streak?

Sixx 07-27-2015 08:43 AM

A wild guess: Santino?

DAMN iNATOR 07-27-2015 08:53 AM

No, not Santino. That may have bedn early I the storyline where he portrayed his "twin sister", Santina. I know a lot of that whole story took place in '09, but nope.

Sorry.

Sixx 07-27-2015 09:06 AM

Ok, I googled the answer and it surprised me.

Someone please answer this and let's move on.

Evil Vito 07-27-2015 09:32 AM

<font color=goldenrod>Big Show. I only remember because Triple H helped him and it seemed kinda lame to not even let him break the streak on his own.</font>

CORRECT!

Evil Vito 07-27-2015 09:40 AM

<font color=goldenrod>8 different men held the Hardcore Title during WrestleMania 2000 (16).

Name at least 5 of them (without looking)</font>

Big Vic 07-27-2015 10:13 AM

Viscera, Crash Holly, Bob Holly, Taz, and Raven?

Big Vic 07-27-2015 10:21 AM

One of my picks was wrong :/

Evil Vito 07-27-2015 10:28 AM

<font color=goldenrod>Yep, one wrong. And fair play for not saying which one was wrong.</font> :y:

Sixx 07-27-2015 10:29 AM

Stevie Richards, Bob Holly, Crash Holly, Steve Blackman and errr Test?

Sixx 07-27-2015 10:30 AM

Oh. He only had one wrong? I had no idea half these guys were signed with WWF in 2000 heh.

Evil Vito 07-27-2015 10:33 AM

:'(<font color=goldenrod> lol most of the ones you listed weren't even in the match</font>

I was pretty much listing the lower midcard roster of WWF Wrestemania 2000 for N64.

I really have no idea, so it's just guessing.

Mr. Nerfect 07-27-2015 11:07 AM

Wasn't Bob Holly meant to win the title at the end, but the timing was off and Crash retained?

Rodney, Joey Abs, Pete Gas, Thrasher and Funaki.

<font color=goldenrod>It was the reverse of that. Crash was meant to Houdini his way out of the seemingly impossible odds as he normally does.

It's been rumored that Bob purposely timed it so that he'd walk out with the belt in what would appear to be a blown spot. But that's probably just a typical Internet "oh man that Bob Holly is a real asshole" myth.</font>

<font color=goldenrod>Correct!

Actually I just realized my initial question had 8 when it should have been 9. As Tazz, Viscera, and The Holly Cousins all had the belt during that match, too.</font>

Mr. Nerfect 07-27-2015 11:13 AM

Ha. Bob going into business for himself. Like that time he definitely sandbagged Lesnar on purpose to expose what a wimp that Brock is by breaking his own neck.

Mr. Nerfect 07-27-2015 11:14 AM

Hardcore Holly never got revenge for being betrayed by Cody Rhodes. For such a tough and hardcore guy, that doesn't make much sense. Bring back Bob to battle that weirdo Stardust in the main event of SummerSlam Kickoff.

Evil Vito 07-27-2015 11:17 AM

<font color=goldenrod>Hardcore Holly felt like someone who would be a lifer. But then again I also thought the same way about Funaki and Val Venis. Every low/lower-midcarder has an expiration date.</font>

Mr. Nerfect 07-27-2015 11:19 AM

Was going to post about how much I loved Funaki. To be fair, I think he chose to leave the WWE due to neck problems. And he recently was used to help climatize Hideo Itami and even appeared on television.

Mr. Nerfect 07-27-2015 11:19 AM

I really want Funaki to be included in a WWE video game and be super-powered for some reason.

Big Vic 07-27-2015 12:18 PM

Quote:

- One of the two other memorable matches from this show was the battle royal for the Hardcore Championship. The match was given a 15-minute time limit where the title could change hands as many times as possible during the time frame. It was essentially a championship scramble. The title changed hands during the match 11 times with Tazz winning it twice. Hardcore Holly eventually walked away the champion, but wasn’t supposed to. When Hardcore Holly went to cover Crash Holly in the final seconds, Crash Holly was supposed to kick out and retain the title, but didn’t. Referee Tim White, knowing that Crash Holly was supposed to win, never let his hand hit the mat for the final count, but had to give Hardcore Holly the title anyway because it would have been silly to have Crash Holly win without kicking out. The snafu was rectified a short time later as the “Houdini of Hardcore” Crash Holly won the title back.
