Well, the IC Title was definitely decided in a phantom tournament that concluded there.

Destor 11-29-2017 07:03 PM

Yeah most famously pat Paterson won the first ever ic title in rio in a tourney that never happened

Sixx 11-29-2017 07:08 PM

Hm, it's listed pretty officially.

Destor 11-29-2017 07:22 PM

Its a work bruh

That's the point. ;)

Mr. Nerfect 11-29-2017 07:25 PM

Were you thinking of Rio, Destor? Because if you're thinking of someone more local, the more I think about it, the more I remember hearing something about a place they used to do that sort of thing and thinking "Hey, that's where Heath Slater is from -- I wonder how many phantom title changes he thinks he saw?" So I'm going to throw Pineville, West Virginia into the hat. Of course, the irony here is that I may have a phantom memory of that.

Sixx 11-29-2017 07:25 PM

gfsaggafdg

Sixx 11-29-2017 07:26 PM

Ok, someone go with another! Another sleepless night ahead of me so what the hell, right?

Rio was my target yeah

Bad News Gertner 11-29-2017 07:33 PM

Patterson used to wear a shirt in the attitude era that had "first IC champ" on the front and "Rio De Janeiro " on the back lol

Mr. Nerfect 11-29-2017 07:33 PM

Does anyone remember who handed Sheamus his first loss in the WWE?

Sixx 11-29-2017 07:36 PM

Goldust?

Sixx 11-29-2017 07:36 PM

They had a few matches, dunno if he ever lost one, though.

Mr. Nerfect 11-29-2017 07:37 PM

Yep, it was Goldust.

Sixx 11-29-2017 07:38 PM

Woooooooooo, finally

Mr. Nerfect 11-29-2017 07:38 PM

If you want another one, Sixx -- Sheamus & Cesaro are currently the Raw Tag Team Champions, but each has ended the full-time career of wrestlers in the past. Can you name which wrestlers have had been put on the shelf by either Sheamus and/or Cesaro?

Sixx 11-29-2017 07:43 PM

Name all the participants of the 6-man Hell in a Cell match and the PPV it was on.

Destor 11-29-2017 07:43 PM

Shoot or kayfabe?

Yeah, next time I'll just find something on some wrestling trivia site. Cause obviously I do not know enough about wrestling to ask really hard questions.

One of the first PPVs I went back and watched because the 2001 Royal Rumble got me into wrestling, and it was right before it, although for some reason they feel eons apart.

It's really hard to come up with questions, haha.

Sixx 11-29-2017 07:51 PM

Uh, wait. Sheamus retired that cruiserweight guy. Fuck if I remember his name. But his first name was boyband material.

Nah. That one was actually in a boyband themed stable if I remember right?

I just mean that guy's first name was gay as fuck. I'll go through some boyband rosters and see if it lights a bulb in my head.

Sixx 11-29-2017 08:01 PM

Jamie Noble

Bad News Gertner 11-29-2017 08:54 PM

Powerbombed him outside the ring. Fucking sick as hell bump.

Gonna throw out another one.

At Extreme Rules 2009, Batista defeated Randy Orton for the linear WWE Heavyweight Championship.

What was the significance of this title change.

Sixx 11-29-2017 09:20 PM

Dunno, but he forfeited the title cause he got legit injured.

Who was the first ever WWF wrestler to win a title in a Cage Match

Mr. Nerfect 11-29-2017 11:46 PM

Jamie Noble and William Regal are correct for the Sheamus/Cesaro question. Also, Sheamus did end Triple H's full-time career, but I'm not sure if people really think about that much.

What was the minor technical fuck up at the start of the Survivor Series 1987 tag team elimination match?

The major fuck up is that no ringside camera could see inside the ring.

I think Tyler Bate was referenced as the youngest ever singles champ on this week’s NXT. Duprée does have beat by about 3-4 months I think.

Total shot in the dark there.

Who was the only nWo member in the WWF incarnation to receive an opportunity to win a title shot while as a member of the stable?

Helmsphere 12-03-2017 04:29 PM

Scott Hall?

They kind of worded it wrong, but there was two matchups. Scott Hall v. Steve Austin, and Rob Van Dam v. The Undertaker.

They really only talked about if Undertaker and Austin won, but you would of had to figure if RVD or Hall won, they would of had a chance. Granted Taker and Austin won there matches, and then Taker went on to defeat Austin before taking the title from Hogan.

If this is what you're talking about. It was basically two weeks after the Brand Split started in 2002. Also I believe this was Hall's last televised match in WWE.

Big Vic 12-03-2017 04:49 PM

Didn't remember that, but I will award you the W

I was thinking of X-pac in the 2002 KOTR tourney where the winner would get a WWF title shot.

That's right! Only the Bret vs Shawn match was for a title on the actual show.
