Was an OK match up until the restart, but now it's gone up a gear since. Renee can't stop gushing over Sami, it's adorable.

Neville has some bad luck with tag teams. First Oliver Grey gets injured, then Bo didn't care about what happened to the tag belts, and now Corey Graves decided to just beat up Neville.

Was not impressed by that tag match at all. Crowd didn't seem to get into it either, and the NXT fans usually get into everything.
I like Neville and Connor O'Brien. Rick Victor has a good look, but I dunno if he is "there" yet. I don't care so much for Corey Graves, but I am glad of the heel turn. He looks kind of like a "dbag" and so should make a better heel. |
Ok match between Breeze and Parker. Fans seem so subdued this week. Usually they are much louder.

Always love the NXT females. Good to see the heel women actually get a win. Loved Renee and Regal during this match as well, even though they weren't talking about the action in the match 95% of the time.

Might be fatigue from the set of tapings. Think last week's episode was the last one in the current set.

Bo Dallas cracks me up. Good for him. His current shtick doesn't seem main event, but it's a great gateway personality for him to bigger things.
The Neville/Graves stuff was kind of good, but it's lacking something. I love the idea of the feud in theory, but something about it in practice doesn't really make me care yet. Maybe as they really get their motor going with it? Fuck the NXT ladies are amazing. So well booked. It gives me real hope for a main roster Divas Division. Emma and Paige should be able to get over no problem. |
JBL is fantastic in his NXT role, by the way. Almost too good. Don't want it to end.

Alexander Rusev squash match. Good. Been wanting to see him built up as a monster of a beast. Surprised they would job out CJ Parker in such a short match though, since he seems to be one of their "main guys".

That old grungy personality should be what made Graves turn on Neville. If you're not helping him win, you're going to lose to him. Everyone in Graves' world should be expendable. He's in professional wrestling to win championships. When he loses a championship, he gets a bad attitude about it and makes sure he gets noticed otherwise.
The brawl between the two at the start was good. Neville attacking Graves was well executed. Neville's strength isn't really his promo work, so having him just attack Graves works just fine. |
Alex Riley does some really good things on commentary, but he does some really bad things as well. Sometimes by trying to add he takes away. Hopefully he gets better at it in time.

Renee Young is adorable on commentary. She and Regal are developing good chemistry. If she can develop into more of a play-by-play girl, I'd love to see the two start to handle Superstars together or something. The girls in NXT continue to be handled beautifully. They are making you want to see Paige and Emma kick the living crap out of each other, and that will be a great match. I'm not sure if they've taped it yet, but I can't remember the outcome anyway. Paige should probably win their first encounter, but if there are no plans to call up Emma soon, they could probably give her a run at some point. Paige and Emma are more than roster ready, however. Looking forward to Kassius Ohno vs. Luke Harper II. I'm glad Harper got to cut a creepy promo of his own. Tyler Breeze vs. CJ Parker in a Hair vs. Hair Match is being built to effectively. Either man could lose that match and benefit from it -- CJ Parker could change from his ineffective NXT gimmick or Breeze can become darker and more serious. |
