Watching an Owen Hart Vs Dan Severn match from Raw 1998 and Owen does the sit down inverted pile-driver on Severn.
I knew he did that thing more than once. In fact I'm pretty sure he did it all the time. |
Haha...now they're doing a broken neck angle.
Good shit. |

Always amuses me looking at moves like the neutralizer and the styles clash, wtf are both of these moves meant to be doing? I can only presume that both are meant to be head impact moves yet both are very obviously moves that impact the knees and not much else. In the case of the styles clash the head is already so close to the mat it makes even less sense. :wtf: |

NXT usually does a better job than WWE's RAW & SD shows when it comes to cam work but they do suffer from Kevin Dunn-itis from time to time. |
Randomly remembered about this

Jon Moxley made another surprise appearance for GCW and showed up at their Draft Day show last night after Nick Gage's match to continue their feud for the GCW title.

Current rumor going around the net hints that Don Callis might be out as an executive for Impact Wrestling.
Basis for the rumor involves a recent update Impact's parent company Anthem Entertainment made on their website that no longer lists him as an Executive VP for Impact. Fightful Select reported that Impact talent currently speculate that his role in the company has changed significantly but also still expect him to stick around as an on-screen personality for Impact shows. |

A piano solo of undertakers theme on his last match would have been fitting if it had been a live match. Everything coming full circle with how the theme was conceptualised at the start and it making an appearance in its original form at the end. |

Ring of Honor announced they will be having fans returning to their events starting with this year's Best in the World event on July 11th.
That leaves just Impact Wrestling and I think also the NWA as the only notable US promotions to not announce a date for the return of fans for their shows yet. |

Who dat
|
Lorenzo
This match is a fucking mess anytime he's on offense. |
Just started watching AEW's Dark Elevation show from Monday and this Adrian Alanis jobber sort of resembles Roman Reigns if he had a slightly smaller and leaner body.
Would have been a bit funny if a bootleg version of the Usos had suddenly shown up to help him against his match against Jungle Boy. Quote:
Looks like it was going to be a simple body slam that got completely screwed up and when he tried to save face with doing a powerslam instead, he also completely screwed that up as well. |
Dude he was so fucking bad.

Damn I have zero memory of Lorenzo. It's all new to me. I feel like I used to watch Saturday Night and Worldwide every now and then even up til the end. They would replay late at night often. I miss WCW so much. They hired so many great wrestlers from all over the world. Yeah and used them poorly. But still. AEW definitely doing the same thing in ways. It's just the field is much different. Everyone is a damn cruiser weight these days. I miss big guys in Wrestling. That's what I felt when watching the Backlash Triple Threat. Huge bros that can actually work.

Q Anon ref can now spend his entire time on conspiracy theories

Word among talent and staff at the WWE Performance Center is that referee Drake Wuertz has been let go. Sad if true. The poor lad has been mislead like many others.

I don't feel bad for Anti-Vaxxers. I don't feel bad for Flat-Earthers. They're all morons. |

Drake Wuertz is a piece of shit, and he’d fit in great at AEW with The Bucks and Jericho.

Wuertz is apparently part of several NXT releases coming in.
Alexander Wolfe, Kavita Devi, Vanessa Borne, Jessamyn Duke so far |

Hot ass Brandi Lauren released too before she could even debut
|
next was getting too big, i bet there will be a lot of women cuts.
|
Quote:
Duke getting released is a bit dumb since NXT is hyping up some sort of new MMA stable arriving soon and she has a legit background in it. Devi became entirely replaceable once WWE signed a bunch of Indian wrestlers for their new NXT India branch since she no longer became their token female Indian wrestler. Borne pretty much was a victim of "creative has nothing for you" and having one of the most botched call-ups ever. With most botched call-ups, Creative at least tries to do something with them before losing all interest. She didn't even get that treatment and instead had the double whammy of main roster creative not bothering to do something with her and NXT creative not bothering to take her back. |
so nxt is only 30 day no compete, if so slamaversry might get more people. i would like to see wolfe join erics group again.

This weeks episode of Jeff Jarrett's podcast is on Owen Hart and it's fantastic

According to Spectrum Sports 360's Jon Alba, Drake Wuertz release had less to do with him being a conspiracy nutjob in recent months and more due to him becoming very unbearable with it backstage and also allegations of him being a racist while at work.

In the past 3 weeks, multiple WWE and NXT Superstars told me they believed Drake Wuertz was racist, and felt uncomfortable around him at the WWE Performance Center. One noted they even felt odd with him reffing closed-door matches at the PC.

This seemed like it was inevitable.
— Jon Alba (@JonAlba) May 19, 2021
Sort of similar to Big Cass' release a few years ago where it wasn't due to him being a full blown MAGA and far right supporter but instead he was very unbearable with it both backstage and during road trips. Edit: Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp reported a few more details regarding Drake's release and the biggest involved him pissing off Triple H after a meeting over the topic of not being a racist PoS while at work.

Drake Wuertz:

- Almost got beat up backstage
- Angrily walked out of a Triple H meeting about inclusion
- Had upset longtime friends
- Got loud with talent over vaccinations

The full story at https://t.co/jy8u4a7WDahttps://t.co/nIdgkcTdZ8 pic.twitter.com/Rsf18JDle6
— Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com (@SeanRossSapp) May 19, 2021
 |
