Its more likely for Taya since I doubt WWE would have filed a trademark for "Franky Monet" just to use it on a dog.

If her last name is meant to be Monet, they didn't file any other trademark using it so Franky couldn't be for her dog.

It was one of those things I half read and was like "yeah I could see them doing that" and just figured that was the case. It looks like I'm mistaken after actually reading the article.

For sure, WWE's done a lot of odd things over the years and them filing a trademark just to use it for a dog in the end wouldn't be out of the ordinary for them.

When I originally read that I started thinking if they ever trademarked Matilda for the British Bulldogs or Franky for Koko B Ware

Not 100% sure but think you can trademark animal names for merchandise-related stuff in wrestling but not as a wrestler name based on how the wording works for wrestling trademarks and issues with written consent that pop up every so often.

If the USPTO asked for a written consent form for "Franky", WWE wouldn't be able to give them one if the name belonged to a dog and not a person for a wrestler trademark.

Like I wonder what Grumpy Cat had trademarked.
