New Blackjacks were great. Totally right about the "new" part making them a dumb gimmick.

I liked the New Rockers gimmick: cheesy dorky gimmick that was cool in the 80s but lame in the mid 90s. Plus I love Al Snow.

Why do I hate Orange Cassidy? His whole running the ropes with his hands in his pockets is bad form and you never know when something is off with the ring.

Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks have been the worst part of SmackDown. Bianca has potential and I know people love Sasha, but it’s kind of sucked.

The buildup for the Smackdown Women's Championship match has certainly been subpar.

Yeup and all because WWE decided to use their patent booking of taking what should have been a very hot and money making feud on paper and quickly turned it into a very uninteresting Mania build.

Mania has 11 matches announced so far and I'd argue only 3 of them have felt Mania worthy in terms of interest and/or build. Would have been 4 had they held off the IC title match at Fastlane or didn't do that buzz kill of a finish solely to artificially extend the Big E vs. Apollo feud into Mania.

At least last year's Road to Mania had the excuse of WWE's plans being thrown into complete chaos once the pandemic really sunk its teeth in but it still managed to have a better overall build than this year's Mania by comparison. Only real issues were WWE bloating Mania 36's card at the last minute and wasting valuable hours on airing lengthy past classic matches solely to eat up time that could have been used to improve the build for those extra matches instead.

It does feel like Mania has snuck up on them this year.

The fact that numerous acts have just put themselves/been arbitrarily put in title matches didn’t help (AJ/Omos, Charlotte, then Rhea, Drew). I’m sort of hoping for a big multi man match for the SmackDown Tag Titles as little has been built (The Mysterios?) and there’s a lack of variety in the card so far.

The WWE Women's Tag Team Championship has also been booked rather poorly for a while now. Also the concept of will they won't they coexist is beaten to death in the company and I just can't get invested in it anymore. Not to mention interjecting your tag team champions with a feud with the women's world champion has become stale too. There's no originality or focus on in-ring competition. If their focus is on compelling storylines, they're really bad at that too.

Does since their inception count as "for a while"?

Bitches got tag team belts now? What's next, they gonna let them vote?

Another 2 night gimmick as well.

I'd say it started going downhill after The IIconics won it at WrestleMania. There were some decent moments here and there with Asuka & Kairi Sane, even Bayley & Sasha Banks when they were building up to the eventual breakup.

Did anyone care for Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross as a tag team?

Honestly thought more would've been done with the break up angle. Instead it's "Oh no you're evil, and I lost to you...oh well" kind of schtick.

I'd blame the issue with Mania's card and build this year due to WWE having 2 PPVs in between the Rumble and Mania. That led to the Road to Mania being more watered down and/or rushed than usual.

Add in WWE also being preoccupied with the switch from the WWE Network to NBC's Peacock and that just compounded the problems for Mania's build this year.

Seems NWA has started to block matches involving their talent from airing on non-FITE streaming services.

Thunder Rosa is current scheduled to wrestle for an event that's airing on Title Match Network but it will only be viewable for the live audience and not those who purchase the show online due to NWA's demands.

All of the "Celebrity" crossover WWE is doing couldn't mean less to me. I have no clue who Bad Bunny is, I know that Soulja Boy was relevant once but I don't know if he is any longer, and Bow Wow is clearly a mark and makes me shake.my head. Logan Paul has zero credibility and if it wasn't for his brother boxing a few easy cans and getting ready to be smashed by Ben Askren I'd have no idea who he is either.

I have very little interest in basic pop culture, for my taste give me Shaq vs Cody any day over that crap.
