I wonder if the reason Fastlane is happening is so that WM isn't the live-event guinea pig for Peacock here in the states.

I'm not sure a ppv 3 weeks before WM would happen otherwise.

Yeah, Conrad and Tony Schiavone are in the midst of a watch along of every World Championship Wrestling episode from ‘86. I don’t give many fucks about the network. Just don’t screw up my rasslin’ podcasts.

I'm meant to have the ad-free version of Peacock through Xfinity but it seems certain shows still throw ads in there. Hopefully if I eventually ever get back to watching back catalog stuff once available it won't be riddled with ads.

At the moment it's like 90% Capital One ads and there are certainly far worse things than looking at Jennifer Garner, but still.

There are some shows that will always have ads regardless of what tier you are on. They put that in tiny letters. I'm kinda weird in that I like to read fine print to see what kinda fuckery they are actually talking about.

Current rumor regarding William Regal's two big announcements on Wednesday's episode of NXT.

Observer provided an update regarding Aleister Black's status in WWE and pretty much he's still in the phase of unless Vince chances his mind, Black's stuck in catering until his contract runs out.

Yeah there aren't many examples of this idea working well. I had figured with AEW'S budget they'd have pulled it off though. I lived through WCW I should have known better.

But like, you can't actually blow up a ring in an exploding ring match. So anything you do is gonna look ridiculous. That's what I don't get about this idea.

It's honestly just as dumb as the Eye for an Eye match. You're not gonna actually scoop the guys eye out. So why do it.

I assume the only reason Fastlane exists is so that WM isn't the live-event guinea pig on Peacock, I can't think of any logical reason to hold a ppv 3 weeks before WM otherwise.

WM has never had a 3 week build before.

Yeah 3 week build is really cringey to me... Not good. It's like whatever was sacred about Mania is being chipped away year by year. They are going to have a crowd at least so it wj be better than last year. And I think Slik is right, they do need a practice run before Mania, don't want anything to derail the biggest show of the year.

At the height of vaudeville, the bigger theaters used to run "continuous" shows - as soon as a show ended, it would restart again. The idea was that rather than having to arrive at the beginning, you could turn up at any point during the show, and you'd stick around until it looped back round to where you started, so no matter when you arrived you would always witness the entire show.

Can't imagine why I just thought of that.
